Maybe that's my main group, but I can imagine others share a good deal of the same list thanks to TGIF.

To me with Phil is this is a man who has taken in his nephew that he grew to love as his own.
deal with said nephew changing both his way and his kids but also helped all his children grow up and let them make mistakes. A man that was protective of his family, who taught his children that not everything was easy. Became a father to a boy that needed one. Tough but fair, listened to his family. Held his temper in until he could not anymore but never lost it unless it was needed. Let his kids know that he wasn't invincible (heart attacks). He was one of the best t.v. fathers who you could see in real life.

That scene after Will's dad split again and uncle Phil is there for him was the first time I cried in a show.

Because Uncle Phil stood there and listened to Will vent his anger without interrupting. And then grabbed him and hugged him tight when the anger turned into raw sadness and pain. You could here the off scene actors crying and I shed tears at home too

I cried for so many times during his great and brilliant performances, but to hear that he had always still considered the actors family and Hilary his daughter just got me balling out tears again. Such a great national treasure.

In late 2000, I briefly met James Avery at a party in Los Angeles when I worked for a local catering company. I forgot who owned the house it was at, but it belonged to a music producer and most of the guests were very famous Jazz musicians (I'm pretty sure I talked to Oscar Peterson that night as well, was too star struck to ask). The evening turned into one massive jam session. I didn't know about Mr Avery's love of Jazz music until I saw this clip, but I imagine he must have had an enjoyable time. The music was divine and even though I was just there to serve refreshments, having the privilege of 'being there' in any capacity was a gift indeed :-)

That was probably *Quincy Jones'* house. He was also a Producer of *The Fresh Prince,* as well as a longtime jazz musician. A very talented and highly respected producer/musician, with credits from the 30s through *Cab Calloway, Myles Davis, Jimi Hendrix,Michael Jackson'sTHRILLER* and beyond, both on stage as well as in the studio.
