These are astonishingly beautiful. I couldn't possibly pick a favorite. That said, The Arsonist and Green Eyed Monster together would make a lovely Christmas manicure, don't you think?
I would say they are cousins only because they are both darkened reds. Arsonist is a very sparkly red, it is dark yes, but it's very obviously a sparkly red. CD is more of a burgundy, less sparkly, leans more brown then Arsonist. I would say they are actually very different.
I'm new to using magnetic polish. Can you recommend any magnets? Or are they all basically the same? I only have the magnet Wand that came with my moon cat polish. I'd like to try the velvet look, but have no clue what I'm doing.
I’ve only tried it with the wands from nail polish brands, others may or may not be strong enough. To try the velvet, you just put two magnets together like I did on the ring finger, just place them side by side and they will stick, then place the finger on top like I did here and just paint. That’s all. U need to hold the magnet in place until that nail dries enough, the recommendation is 60 seconds I think per coat per nail. It will take a bit, but it will be worth it in the end. U also have to hold the magnets in place when u top coat, because the top coat softens the polish a lil before it dries it and the magnetic particles can move away from the desired effect. So just magnetize the top coat as if it were the polish.
Hi! I don't think it's a shiny brown when not in direct lighting, I don't get brown at all. What I do get when not in direct lighting, is like a slash of orange (like you see on the part of the clip where I said it looks like fire). It is a darkened red, but doesn't lean brown.
I think it’s a dupe for one of the two that KBShimmer just released in their fall collection. I own both of them and they are beautiful. And it will be about $4 cheaper than Mooncat. Everyone is releasing these new large particle multichromes, and I think they’re the same pigment.
