Tapioca starch was surprisingly easy to find, you can buy off of Amazon or get it from like a sprouts or something. And then the rest is like brown sugar and water

Hi there! Currently I am in the second phase, here are some tips: 1. If in phase 1, the mixture thickens without adding water, you can put the flour in already! 2. Make the balls as small as possible! During cooking, they will enlarge! I will edit this post later with my thoughts on the final result! ;)
Dione Silva Hi! I completely forgot about this comment, my apologies. 🙈 The chocolate “tapioca” was a little harder to make in the pan, the whole pan was in flour, so figure out the tip yourself. In the end, the balls (atleast for me) had this.. flour-ey texture and a little bit of a flour taste aswell.

I made these just then... very good recipe. You must cook them for a while, as I undercooked mine but they still taste good. Also to the maker of this video, I suggest you edit your description because it says 3 and 1/4 cups of sugar instead of 3 and 1/4 tablespoons of sugar. It is super tasty, I'm still drinking it! For the milk tea, I had just black tea with almond milk & I added some brown sugar and some vanilla extract to it for taste. It is very good but if you are looking for it to taste like normal pearls, look for a different recipe.
Yaaay!!! Thank you so much! Done editing it. I overlooked it sorry! I agree, black tea are good when you want to put some milk. And the taste of the pearls are different from the original tapioca pearls but still good. Since tapioca are not available in where I lived. Hehe. But thank you so much :)

I don’t have brown sugar so could i use cane sugar or hot chocolate power? If so what do u think is better or do I have any other recommended things that I might have.
for the ones who are wondering , I tried with corn flower out of curiosity and it didn’t go well. Eventually no matter how much I mixed the flower with the sugar and water it did NOT thicken , it was kind of like a goopy water, and I stirred it for about 15 minutes on medium heat and it didnt change. So it doesn’t work with flower.
I love this recipe so much, but 1 tip I think Is boil until the boba pearls/tapioca pearls float at the top of the water and then turn heat down a bit and only cook for 15 mins so it doesn’t get to soggy. Then turn off heat, put the lid on and let sit for 5 mins Please don’t hate this is just my opinion ❤️💫

Same lmao. I don’t wanna get yelled at but I’m so hungry rn
If I don't have any cocoa powder, do I use 3 tbsp of cornstarch or still 2 tbsp?
They look like baked beans ngl 🤭
HAHAHAHA I THOUGHT THE SAME THING
Tbh they look more like chickpeas
I honestly love this it taste just like tapioca!!
I don’t have brown sugar so could i use cane sugar or hot chocolate power? If so what do u think is better or do I have any other recommended things that I might have.
I’m gonna try this! But can I use white sugar instead of brown sugar?
Yap but your pearls might be lighter in color.
Omg I'm craving boba so much and tomorrow morning I'm gonna make this! 😍 I don't have any tapioca starch so I was so happy when I found this video! 😊
Yay! Thanks for dropping by. Hope it turned out well :)
people who tried this, did it work? was it delicious? did you feel the cocoa powder or was it lost in the flavor?
Does it matter what Kind of sugar I use?
Loved this! I am drinking it right now and I am making these for breakfast tomorrow!🤍🤎
for the ones who are wondering , I tried with corn flower out of curiosity and it didn’t go well.
Then turn off heat, put the lid on and let sit for 5 mins
Please don’t hate this is just my opinion ❤️💫
How long do these keep, like if I made a batch could I keep them for a day or two or do you have to use them up straight away? :)
would i be able to pack the boba balls for a picnic? or would the sugar get hard by the time we’re there?
Can we add milk powder instead of cocoa powder?
I tried out this recipe and it’s delicious!
Very nice, Amazing!!😄😁💝
I had 3 attempts to make boba without tapioca starch and the 3 one was fine but had bad texture😕
This was the video I had wanted! Tysm and wish me luck cuz I'm gonna make this now. 😋🤞
almost done!
looks good, didnt expect it world turn out looking that great!hope they're yummy!;)
Does it have to be brown sugar?
Hello! Can I replace it with rice flour?
this is such a good recipe and super yummy all my friends like it too !! 🤍🤍
We tried it out and it turned out good! But we would give it an 8/10 because the pearls turned out soggy and soft and not chewy like normal boba but it was fine after all, would recommend :)
IM SO HAPPY YOU MADE THIS VID I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR AGESSSS!!!! 😊😊😊😆💜✨
Mia Green haha nice to hear that! Thank you so much for watching!

Heya! Love this recipe although didn't work out for me much when I mixed it with flour it wouldn't mix and the sticky substance just hardened?
Ianne, this is really helpful! I have a Muslim friend, and as a rule, they can’t have gelatine since it’s part pig. With no gelatine, I am making them now!
Thank you! ❤️
Do we need to add the cocoa powder bc if its important and i dont have cocoa powder and can we use regular sugar
