About the aq hand, when you bet pot at the river you no longer represent two pairs or sets. So any naked queen is supposed to call and not raise... So opponent played correctly..

Every once in a while I might raise a bad player, knowing he never has AQ...but I'd never dare try to extract more when my oppo can easily have the nuts. Sometimes, given stack sizes, you can shove here with that exact hand and you get called by ppl with over 2x (or even 3X!) SPR. Bad players will stretch that far to not let go of a chop.

I'm not sure if you were making it up to Traverse City, but they have a great soft room not far from downtown. We've been going up around Torch Lake, Elk Rapids, Harbor Springs, Sleeping Bear/peninsula tour, etc. for week long summer vacations, and it really has a special type of beauty in some of those places. High rent districts in the more premium areas, but also great vacation rental prices too. So off the grid, yet at various stops up the coast it is breathtaking not just for midwest standards. Great communities all around. Even further up towards Charlevoix and Petoskey are always a great day trip as well! If you have the chance, definitely get up there

AQ v Qx (nut straight vs straight) hand explanation from opponent's POV: - Opponent checks all the way through indicating she was likely on a draw - She gets there with the straight yet still you bet 1/3 pot into her - She's prob thinking if I have the straight here when there's four to a straight, what could Wolfgang be repping here - She's prob thinking there's one of two possibilities: he's bluffing or has me beat with the nut straight - If he's bluffing then he won't call a raise anyway and if he has me beat I save myself money from raising So ultimately she makes the right decision imo by just calling. Highly unlikely you're betting for value there with two pair or worse given the image you portrayed on the table up to that point. A raise there looks super strong that even if you had 2 pair or worse you'd never call her anyway

1/2 is NOT 1/2 when it's a Match game, you did need to think bigger in those later spots. Certainly no blame for the snake-bit early start. The 2h changes a lot .. you can semi-bluff raise there with increased equity and get the huge suck-out-session-saver on the River .. or just pot control. Good luck in OH .. The non-River-raise is typical of SEagle Regs since they don't get called by worse in that room anyway (next hand please)
