I love the design and presentation of Japanese food. Everything is so precise and cleanly-executed. The aesthetic is simple, but every minute detail has been considered. Truly beautiful food.
I'm sooo happy that Reina is a part of the Gochi Gang from the First We Feast fam AND was able to speak with WWE superstar Asuka (who is one of my FAVE pro wrestlers!). Reina did a FANTASTIC job asking a little about Asuka (aka Kana) that I didn't even know!! But to shorten my little ramble, got me interested in eating eel!! I hope to see more of Reina doing her thing AND also be a part of Sean's HOT ONES in the NEXT SEASON!!!!!
I have given up on WWE as a whole, too many let downs in the past and the matches/stories bore me....I mean AEW is great but i feel like im watching old WWF in the late 90s with their gimmicks.
I want them to drop the tag titles so they can go back to singles competition. Asuka especially has so much more to offer on her own. Plus, the word on the street is that Kairi Sane and Io Shirai are going back to Japan when their contracts expire in a couple months.
Just discovered the Goshi Gang part of this channel, have to Reina is dope! she did so well balancing two different interviews between Asuka and those two sushi chefs.
This is my new favorite "show" on RUclips. I love the mix of NYC and Japanese, I learn something new every episode and really really really want to take a Japanese food tour with Reina. I think it would be amazing!

Well gosh darn, I thought I was watching an excerpt from Discovery or Travel channel. It's so refreshing to hear Mses. Scully & Urai speak perfect Japanese, & learn everything I need to know about unagi. Whoever funded this deserves an award.
@@PongoXBongo Had my first unagi serving last week. Absolutely splendid. Saba (mackerel) is one of my favorite choices for sushi, but now that I've had unagi, I'm so torn over which I like more, lol.
@@BolverkAtlasia/videos One of the nice things about sushi is that it comes in (relatively) small portions. So, if you can find a reasonably priced place, you can get a couple different things without feeling too stuffed or guilty.
@@PongoXBongo The sushi place I frequent has this sampler available during lunch hours, where you pay like 11 bucks and you get completely random nigiri thrown at you, like whatever the chef is in the mood for, plus you get a California roll. It's great. That's what I always go for when I'm looking to try something new.
Bringing on Reina Scully was a huge plus for me. I used to be a huge fan of Sourcefed and when the original cast left, I slowly stopped watching. Reina was one of my favorites and she is such a nice person. Thank you so much for bringing her on.
And here was me thinking that for about 15 - 20 years we've been talking about the decline of the eel. As a child I remember literally thousands of elver pooling together on my coast, today not so many. Worth so much more as food, shame (sad) and glad for the farmers. Reina is a great person it always makes me smile with the Japanese ladies covering their mouth when laughing.
It is good. Once you get past the "eww, eel" bit, it's like one of the tastiest grilled/fried fish you'll ever have. Up there with catfish, perch, and walleye. ;)
I just like to see two ladies eat and talk with the chef. Thanks for the show. I don't speak Japanese but respect their language and culture. Take care ladies, love you both
Unagi / unadon is probably my favorite meal in the world. It is incredible. Sadly, eels are becoming more and more rare... =( The Japanese Eel is classified as endangered now...
@@Muffincaek Not very crunchy actually, the backbone is a little stiff (almost like chicken cartilage) but the vertebra are so small it's barely noticeable. Other bones pretty much turn to nothing during cooking. If you cook it without the bones Unagi is noticeably more bland in flavor.

Unagi is one of my favorites! First time I tried it though, it was at a Korean restaurant on Korea Way, Manhattan.
