Just when the world needed her the most! Really helpful, thanks. I got very lucky with Deo growl twice! and one courtyard wraith... The door tip helped a lot :)

Me and my friend got desperate on one of our games, with Goryo being an option. I whipped out the photo camera and hoped for a lucky DOTS photo. On the last possible picture, I actually got it! I felt like a damn pro. Then we realized we could have been watching the DOTS with our T1 headgear the whole time lol.
I had a really easy Oni and Yokai, but good lord my third ghost was a pain. Had it down to spirit vs polter vs mare. No EMF 5 on the activity board, and spent 26 minutes flicking light switches and building polter piles before the ghost finally hunted at 60%. This challenge *really* needed the music box.
Never waste your time with flicking light switches. It is never worth the time it takes. The Mare is by far the worst ghost in the game. Just build a big pile of objects and if you don't get that many throws, go with Mare.
I had only spirit box on my last one and I suspected maybe freezing, so I guessed I was due for a Mimic and I was right lol

Honestly, this should have netted us 10k for the amount of time it can take to complete this. Deo paced sanity drain, no smudges AND no cursed object? Oof. I can make double the XP on 3 zero evidence runs… I don’t mind challenges, but this is kind of a waste of time, personally. 🤷🏼♀️

how do we understand the emf 5 from activity board?
A jump of 4 or 5 points (so, from 2 to 6 for example) is likely EMF 5.
A few false positives exist:
- Events can cause any jump.
- Hunts will of course go to 10.
- Poltergeist explosion will result in a random jump.
If you are solo and in the van you can't get the first two. So seeing a jump of 4 or 5 while in the van more than once is basically confirmation (or the craftiest Polty out there).
Don't look at the overall level of 1-10, you look for the height of the individual jumps of the line.
The way the activity board calculates activity level is as follows:
(EMF level of ghost's action) minus one, then it either subtracts 1 more point, or keeps it there, or adds 1 point.
A regular interaction (normally EMF 2) can show up as activity level 0, 1, or 2. A throw (normally EMF 3) can show up as 1, 2, or 3. A ghost event (normally EMF 4) can show up as 2, 3, or 4. And finally EMF 5 can show up as 3, 4, or 5.
For pulling EMF 5 off the activity board, you're looking for multiple jumps of 4 or 5 and you have to make sure that they didn't come from ghost events. You also have to make sure that the jump of the line doesn't have a compound curve, like it rises and then changes its slope without flattening out first. That's what people call a twinteraction and is an indication that the ghost might be twins that just did two things at once.

This challenge was a hard pass for me, way too much of a time sink without much excitement
Why do we have DOTS in this challenge though? Is it because the equipment itself emits noise? 😅
Oh one more thing I would like to ask... The timer you have at the right top corner, do you add it to the video itself, or is it some app that you actually use while playing the game?
