Tubi is almost a legacy studio in its own right with the vast library it’s come to offer these days. The Live channels continues expanding, still far behind Pluto and Roku tho. But Tubi is the better streamer… classic hits, movies, documentaries, and TMZ / True Crime.
Pluto is the default for live viewing. Its channel interface is built like cable and makes you feel like it’s old school cable. I come here for jumping onto a channel.
Roku is the built in library and software for all I do… so I visit the channel guide and streaming library regularly. I think it’s good about newer content that isn’t super old. Variety as well.
You never know with Roku. But it’s easy to drop on a big news channel or true crime show, like 20/20 or Dateline.
That’s basically my streaming habits above! lol. Why I launched into all that….? I have no idea. But… if I think they’re all great and highly recommend ALL… considering they’re all free.

As for me, all I have is free services. I don’t play for Hulu, I don’t pay for Netflix or any of these other ones. For me it’s free TV, and an antenna. It’s free services like Pluto and Tubi and the Roku channel, plus I’ve got my TV antenna. I have a lot of favorite channels. I like the 90s kids on Pluto TV, the cops channel on Pluto TV,, on Pluto TV, just give me Pluto TV any day, and of course I have my favorite price is right channels on Pluto TV as well.

Luke I use Fios, I am in Southern New Jersey (Sewell), my cost is $39.99 and it has been flawless. I would use 5g or the Amazon satellite service before ever going back to Comcast, no matter what streaming bundles they offer. Comcast has taken advantage of it customer for years, I enjoy seeing them struggle. They use to have a kiosk setup in my Walmart and I loved stopping by and telling the person working there how horrible their company is and that I would never sign up for their service. They got so much negative feedback being in Walmart that they no longer setup there. Thank you for your daily cord cutting news, I enjoy listening every day, keep up the good work. I am worried about the prices rising for streaming services, I don't like the idea of bundles. The good news is the flexibility of streaming and the free stations like Roku, Pluto and Tubi. We will see how it goes.

Some free channels like Pluto and some pay channels like discovery have increased the number of ads to the point that they aren't worth watching. New shows are shorter to allow for more ads. Programs that used to run 30 minutes with commercials take much longer to watch frequently with the same commercials repeated many times. I understand that they need to run ads but it has reached a point where there are so many ads that there isn't enough time left for the program we wanted to watch. Many people are so busy they don't have time to watch a 30 minute show with so many interruptions that it takes close to 45 minutes to watch or they edit out 10 minutes of the show for additional commercials.

Question for Luke! Do you think they will start making it harder to cancel streaming monthly or so often? For instance, instead of being able to sign up for a month and then cancel, do you think they will start making it where if you sign up, you have the only options to get 2 months or more at a discount to stay longer. I have said it for a while that the churn is a major problem, and I'm just waiting for them to crackdown on that too to improve profits and stability.

5,000 free streaming channels? Bruce Springsteen needs to update one of his old songs to "5700 channels and nothing on". 😁
Tubi FTW when it comes to free ad-supported streaming channels. Its kept updated with new features that make it easier to use and the selection of movies gets updated regularly to include better selection, too (I'm not much of a fan of old TV shows). Pluto and Plex would be 'second tier' to me.
