Believe it or not, Pujols was the most calm and collected Angels player during that brawl. All he did was trot up to Ventura to find out why he had the nerve to trash talk Trout after he slid at home. Kudos to Salvi Perez for helping keep both Pujols and Ventura under control afterwards.

The one thing I don't get with Baseball is the way a "brawl" is handled compared to hockey. In the NHL when a fight or plural (fights) break-out it is quite rare that the respective benches join the fracas...? Conversely, in baseball it's is just assumed that the entire roster of the respective teams participate...Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...?
The conversation about biased announcers seems to come up in all of these bench clearing videos (and I can't tell if this is Fox Sports Royals or Fox Sports Angels) but there really is no need for Mike Trout to get that animated right in front of the pitcher. As an unspoken rule if you want to keep your teammates safe from getting beamed then you do not celebrate or taunt directly in front of the pitcher's face.

I never understood the reason for the bullpen to empty out during a brawl. What's the reasoning, that the benches don't have enough players to respond? So, what if after the bullpen empties out is still not enough? What do you do then? Call up the closest Triple-A affiliate team?
