Excellent video and very informative! Its just amazing the amount of History on such a small Island! Thanks for sharing
Thank you Tracie! Yes there's a lot to cover so I'm gonna probably be doing this for a while 🤣 not a bad life though 👍
Thanks for sharing 🧶🌈🍓💙
Well done mate 👏 most enjoyable 👍
@@rufusgroves1820 thank you mate, very kind 😊👍
Very enjoyable... Nice views, and interesting commentary. Love the comments on the buses too!
Thank you as always! The views are stunning, have you ever been over to St Catherine's? If not, I highly recommend the area for a spectacular sunset, perhaps not the bus service though 🤣
Excellent video Jack. Was nice to bump into you the other day. Keep up the good work - much appreciated.
Thank you! Pleasure to meet you both too, sure we'll bump into eachother again 😊👍
Thank you for an interesting and very well produced video .All of them have have brought back happy memories of the railways on the Island in the 50`s and now this ,of places that I visited many years ago with friends who had a small hotel on the road leading down to Bonchurch and a cottage in Niton .Look forward to many more.
Loving these videos Jack. Looking forward to exploring some of these places when I’m back on the island in July.
Thank you! Yes as much as winter walks are beautiful, atleast in July you don't freeze your ass off as I did in this video 😅👍
Love the Pepperpot, my favourite spot on the island ❤
It definitely high on the list for me too, along with Appuldurcombe Down (worsley monument). Many thanks for watching 😊👍
brilliant as always buddy!
Thanks Street! Hope you are well 😊👍
Another enjoyable and well researched video. I was lucky enough to go on a guided tour of the 'new' lighthouse pre covid. I'll be back on the island in August and hope to follow in your footsteps.
Thank you as always! I hoped I'd be able to have a look inside but to no avail, fingers crossed they re-open it to visitors soon. All the best 😊
Nice to see someone has decorated the top of a red post box - they do that here too, at Wallington, south London
@@nygelmiller5293 Good to hear they do it up in the city too! We have quite a few over here, must remember to take a picture when I pass one 😊👍
I always thought the Pepperpot was the oratory and the actual lighthouse was the Mustard Pot; am I Mistaken?
Also we always knew Hoy's Monument as the Russian Monument
P.s. when we lived in the Pitts at Bonchurch , on a clear night my sister and I would time the gap between the flashes of the light at five (5) seconds.
P.p.s Great video
I believe the pepper pot is the 1328 lighthouse and the oratory (now gone) was adjoined. The mustard pot (or I've also heard it be called the salt pot) is the remains of a replacement lighthouse built in the 1700s but never finished. It is a beautiful place Bonchurch, shocked at the recent landslip though. All the best & many thanks for watching 😊👍
