    In the days of 405 lines black and white TV, Chillerton Down used to broadcast ITV only to much of the South Coast. One day I drove up to the mast - it was manned during broadcasting hours - and asked the chief engineer if I could have a look around. It was fascinating. Thanks for the vid but please use a wind shield on the microphone to make the audio clearer on your next one.

    The concrete bowl on Garston down is a Dew pond they were used as a water supply for livestock.
