    We’ve got those CRE wide tracks. We don’t have those “beefy” shackle hangers, though, and have had TWO break in our travels. We totally want those stairs. They are awesome!!!! We know about those severed break wires, too. We’ve had them damaged not once but twice in our travels. Ugh! Upgraded axels & breaks, too! That’s so awesome!!!

    Our RV came from the factory with Dexter axles and Mor-ryde suspension components. This was waaaaay before the CRE components they have now though. I am currently looking at updating all of our components as well. I was glad to see how the Xbrace installs and its functionality. I would love to see more about the jack stabilizers. I have never seen those. They look amazing.

    There is no, I repeat, NO better company than MorRyde in the RV industry!! We did the IS and disk brakes at their facility in Elkhart last March. We were treated like kings and they were as professional as any company I have dealt with in 45 years of RVing. Love our MorRyde IS on our Grand Design.

    have a smaller TT (4900 dry) and did similar upgrades - CRE3000, wetbolt/heavy duty shackles, and 3 X-factors... It was a bit of work - about 8 hours - me and a buddy. Looking forward to taking her out and seeing if I notice any difference.

    One upgrade I would highly recommend is change to Dexter electric over hydraulic disc brakes.

    Nice upgrades. I was really surprised to see the jack under the axle. Was there jacks on the frame and that was just to support the axle. I really like the CRE300-wide track and heavy leaf springs. Looking forward to any future comments as you use them. Thanks

    • @NoOrdinaryPath
      @NoOrdinaryPath  3 года назад +1

      Yes, they placed the frame on six jack stands and just used the floor jacks to lift the axles to work on. Sharp eye, definitely a point of concern if they were only lifting from the axles!

  • @jimcollins8097
    @jimcollins8097 3 года назад +1

    A word of caution that the upgrades add weight that is subtracted from your available payload. We went from two 3500 axles to 5400 lb axles, springs, from 8x1.5 to 10x2 brakes, new 6 lug wheels, bigger tires, plus the 3 (welded in) cross braces and I calculated around 200 lbs.

    Maybe I missed it - but I'd love to hear what that kind of setup costs. (The morryde part, the labor, etc - I get Morryde hooked you up, but I mean if I wanted to do it on my trailer).

      I noticed that it's just a bit taller now and the ride is much better. Less bounce for sure. I think you'll be very happy with it!

    I have a question ,as you boondock what is the length of your trailer?I just went from a 25ft to a 30ft and higher 11'4", And conserned about getting into sites in nat.forests and other places,as I hardly ever go-to campgrounds.thinks RT

    • @NoOrdinaryPath
      @NoOrdinaryPath  3 года назад

      Lengthwise you should be okay. Wendy is officially 34 ft but with the tongue is more like 37. You're taller than us though so keep an eye out for those low branches!

    I upgraded the under pinnings of my 35ft 2017 Keystone Bullet 3 years ago after I had 2 leaf spring failures within 2 weeks of each other. I detailed it over on the Keystone owners forum. Axles, wet bolts, springs, tires, wheels, brakes, and cross members. $2800 was well worth the peace of mind.
