Yeah trying to make stuff to a level that you're 100% happy with it's going to be hard to post anything, I go by the 70/30 rule, as long as i'm 70% happy with something I post it. Glad to see you still having fun and making stuff!
well i'm watching the how to find your art style video now, but the shorter video did make it easy to just watch and not set a time to watch it. I remember seeing the 22 minute video but just added it to my watch later bc i didn't have the time and then i forgot x.x @@lemonandlimes
Just here to say, that's a very cool mindset(the 70% happy with), I should show it to my sister, cuz i really like her artworks and ideas, but she never post much cuz she says it's not that interesting or "100%", and i hate it telling her that she should post it cuz it's sound like I being too pushy and I know it's not up to me, but come on girl you're more cooler than you think (does someone relate to that? Having a friend that have a lot potencial, but they always so insecure(and kinda lazy/procrastinators)that drives you a little bit Crazy)
Oh yeah my sister does the same thing, doesn't want to show her art to anybody because it's not "good enough" and she's finally started to relax and show people her art because she plays D&D now and she wants people to know what her characters look like xD @@anacatarinaramos
this is so true!! I kept myself from pursuing a presence online because I never felt like my art was good enough, and even as an art youtuber now I still struggle with never feeling good enough or ready. yes your skills do have an appeal to your audience, but it's really your personality and the stories you share through your art that shine through! and with posting consistently to an audience, it ultimately leads you to improving your art (if your content relies on your art). wishing you the best in your journey lemon!!
0:23 - Agreed! Personally, I like seeing peoples' early work, it can be helpful and inspirational to see that everybody starts somewhere! Seeing the progress that can be made, and how it other people develop their skill is a big part of what motivates me! So I definitely think that it is never too early to share your work.
i relate heavily to this video so much - i always find myself saying that ill do something once i am good enough, but there's no "perfect" time to start, you just gotta do it !
I'm struggling with that mindset, not art-wise but rather with editing videos/the making of. I have no clue how to do it right yet and am still learning but it's a pain in the ass, not to mention voice-overs/talking which I majorly struggle with.
I feel you, personally I get discouraged because I feel like my videos are not interesting or entertaining to watch ! Nice drawing tho, keep going !! ✨💖
This is exceptionally relatable, I was under the pretense I have to get good before showing anything or else it wouldn't matter. Currently I'm still fighting this battle day in and out. I realize the only way something has a chance is if I do it? Even if its not received by a grand audience, I should focus on being happy I did it. Thank you for this beautiful video that will inspire artist to start or pick stuff back up. I can tell your going to go tremendously far you got this ✨
0:47 I can relate to this sooo much, I've always wanted to make animation memes when I was 11 but I wasn't satisfied with my skill level, I wish I started posting much earlier but it's better now than neverr! (T v T)
This is- so funny that RUclips recommended me this, for about 3 years Iv always wanted to make animations and webtoons and stuff like that but I am currently 13/14 and thought I was too young to even start. That, alongside when i draw it just never makes me feel.. “joy” because it didn’t seem good enough to post online. Iv never ever posted any of my art online since I was always afraid of what people would say as criticism. And I finally have some courage to possibly start. Yeah I have A LONG way to go lol, but! I’ll never know till I give it a shot right! So thank you! New sub!
I was actually thinking about starting an art channel so this really helps! And I do the same thing too where I think I need to improve first before I can start posting and then my art will blew up like crazy, a boat load of likes and comments but not everyone who has great talents has crazy likes too like what you said. Thank you, I'll make sure to always keeps this in mind! :D ALSO, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR CHANNEL BLEW UP AAAAAAAAA ‼️‼️‼️ YOUR ART IS SO GOODDDD‼️‼️‼️‼️💯💯🤍🤍
I like your art style very much. Consistency is king here from what I understand. Sketchbook tours are always fun to watch, and redrawing old art can be very entertaining to watch. Your art is amazing. I'm sure you'll do well.
This is really good advice! I want to become a art youtuber but my inner perfectionist is preventing me from doing much. Eg: I really wanted to do animation but I was convinced for the longest time that you had to know anatomy and be good at proportion in order to be good at animating but I’ve realised that’s not always the case. They are thing you have to learn sure but the only way to start is to.. well.. start! Which might not sound helpful but that’s the only way you’re gonna get good! If you don’t feel confident posting your art online, try drawing privately. Once you feel confident, go post! Numbers and perfectionism still effect me but I’m willing to try more things and not worry so much! 💖✨
your video's actually really inspiring to me, and I can relate--more or less. a little while ago I was just telling myself, "No, you can open up commissions when your art is *good*," and that was really demotivating, so just a little bit ago I decided to just go for it, and I got way more people commissioning me than I expected. (side note, especially love the way you use lineweight 👍)
i feel it T^T im beginning an animation series and i recently uploaded a trailer for it,, god the algorithm feels like it just wants me to be in my own lil corner. promoting my ideas to the audience i want - lgbtq+ folk who like drama and horror element stuff with discussions about morality and criminology... its like imposssible aaa ,, my big dream is to have a fandom of my own, smol or nott
Wow your art style is so fantastic! I wish I could draw like that hehe. Great video, and I do relate to not having "godly" art skills. You're definitely someone who know show to articulate their thoughts. I aspire to be like you when I become an art youtuber.
your art is lovely !!! I’ve been trying to be an art youtuber for about two years now, and my lil advice it’s good to keep going, no matter what you put your mind to, you can do it !! keep going
Woah your content is so underrated and so high quality!!! Amazing art and video. I get being an art RUclipsr being hard, I post my art here too and I get scared when I create bad art and I haven’t posted in a while. I stopped caring and just learn to love my art a bit more and notice what I can improve on but don’t hate it totally.
Back in march of last year I started uploading art videos on my TikTok and they went very viral with like millions of views and I remember feeling very pressured to keep uploading my art and animations consistently. I felt that the amount of attention my videos got was equivalent to the quality of my art and it grew into a very unhealthy habit. I think the best thing you can do as an art content creator is do what makes you happy and know that art shouldn’t stress you out. (I’m just yapping at this point but yeah. 😭)
Omg I know what you mean I got some views on tiktok for making funny memes but when it came to actually making the art no one really cared imo I think it's better to create what you like and hopefully people find enjoyment in that ❤
The more that i improve the less views i get, i literally got zero views. cannot relate to this video. it's all about who you know online and if your apart of that friend group. this are just my opinions, great video btw
YOU'RE ART IS AWSOMMEE, I do kinda want to share my art but yeah i dont think its good anough and im kinda embarrassed about it, so i havent started that yet. I think my art has been progressing very slowly... mostly because i dont have the motivation to draw (i dont have alot of motivation because i keep thinking "oh, my arts terrible. I dont feel like drawing, ill watch a few tutorialsand see if that helps" then i go back to my art and compare it to the tutorials... yeah not that great) but i REALLY want to improve, so ill keep trying. Ty :)
I've been at it for a while too, and just started back consistently making videos. I talk about a similar thing as you in an upcoming one, but i also started with animations. I don't think im an art youtuber. But i am an artist ON youtube, just documenting my progress first and foremost. I realize my type of videos don't hit. But youtube is mostly a hobby to me. Id rather have a few people who genuinely like my work watch my vids than a ton of people who dont actually care. Good luck with your channel!!
I lost my main account on twitter recently, and made a new one, basically I am starting from zero again. It feels really lonely to post something and get nothing more than 1 like or something. But, welp, that happens! Maybe it'll work someday or another, and your video showing up to me is a good sign! Happy to see you are having fun and making content like this. (sorry english is not my main language)
i definitely feel that i never get many interactions on twitter unfortunately but im trying to explore new social medias to find what works for me (dont worry your english is good)
Oh this is such a relatable video, :,) I waited so long to actually start posting stuff cause I felt the same (and still do!) Anyways, your art looks really good! C:
