Hey i just checked out your channel and i think your videos are so good very good quality and structured so well but i think you’d really benefit on changing your thumbnails to something more eye catching like having your face on them i think it helps people relate to the content first like wow shes a real human :)

@@MagicalCreationsDisneyArt You were one of the first people (if not the first) who left a nice comment on my video 🥹. The watch hours was the hardest part for me. I also took a 5 month hiatus to study and focus on writing guides/ebooks teaching what I was learning and I lost a lot of hours during that time. It didn’t bum me out because I enjoyed what I was doing and wanted to provide more value. I love teaching others as well. Besides being an artist, teaching is also my calling so I understand the mission ☺️. Keep plugging away…you’ll get the watch hours soon. All you need is one video ✨
I too struggle with watch hours. I don’t have the 1K subs yet but they are steadily trickling in, so I’m not too concerned there. I need to work on audience retention and consistently uploading. Baby steps 😊.

I've been passionate about art my entire life and only recently started wondering if I could take that passion further and connect with other creatives via RUclips. I am not a camera person at all and I'm not even sure where I'd begin in creating my own channel, but your mention of enjoying the process regardless of views and building gradually really resonates with me and makes it seem like starting a RUclips channel doesn't have to be impossible or particularly daunting. The worst thing that could happen is that it doesn't take off, but at least I'd learn some new things. Were I to start a channel of my own, I'd be content to have it as a side gig. It was after I watched a video by another artist and actually became friends with her and started communicating frequently, that I finally decided it was time for me to stop being scared and just start my channel! Great tips in your video; thanks so much! As an artist I had under-utilised my channel for years but early this year I started a new series. My day today is different because of this video. My book-length comment took me through a journey that created space in my day and my life for me to relax FINALLY and enjoy my creative process being okay appreciating my being me and being me. Because you're video is so expertly done AND is easier (and more akin) to my way of thinking than some (to me) lower quality (but at the very least, less desirable) video that instruct how to do RUclips, I find myself relaxedly enjoying researching and listening to what's next in the creative expression crafting I have made my life. WHAT A GIFT!!! I am cocooned in the waters of my own mind and creativity, knowing also that when and IF I choose to connect with minds like mine (such as you and quite a collective of others, actually), I can, and when and if appropriate, should they choose, they will get back to me. ... yeah... floating on a cloud ⛅️ ☺️ 🙏 😊 🙏
Your journey sounds very much like mine, I went through 2 other channels to get to this one, made tons of mistakes and created huge inconsistencies everywhere to the point where the algorithm was like “this guy has no clue, can’t help him”, but I made the decision to just start all over again, but this time taking all the mistakes I made and using them to make the best content I can with the very limited time I have (yep I’m a daddy and later on some paintings of my daughter will show up)! I needed to hear this. I had a channel back in the day and gave up after a year of no growth I came back a month ago because I really want to do this, I enjoy it a lot. But after seeing all the people that were saying they’d support me by watching not do that, and the analytics say that no one was making it past the first 2 mins to get to the good stuff I was so discouraged. I just need to not care if anyone is watching and do it because I want to. Eventually the right audience will find me and I have to remember that. Thanks.

9:52. What's holding me back from starting a RUclips channel? Life. Organization. Skills. Not wanting to be seen. Editing: have collected content that is great to ME. Would put that up and perfect it for ME and if other people benefit, fine. The level of organization required to do what you're saying is possible and I get it -- GREAT, QUALITY VIDEO, you did -- its just taking ME forever. Yeah, the challenges I have overcome are many and astounding and my setbacks have largely been spiritual...my fault for being up to so much...(loftily high ideals, I mean) but in the end, I will have finally burned through all the dross. What also keeps me from starting a RUclips channel is not wanting to connect with people. I noticed my response to the really nice video shots you had of people getting together and vibing and then collaborating and supporting each other in content creation. It looked really good and positive AND yet my skin cringed and my gums hurt watching it, imagining and remembering having previously experienced similar wonderful scenes, that at the time also felt wonderful. I have NOT felt misunderstood all my life; I have felt adored, admired, and thus also targeted, shot down, hated and picked on or then just outright banished for achieving levels of excellence that were tremendously time-consuming to achieve, but very satisfying and worth it, in my soul, to ME, ...and to highest-good beings, most of which have existed more in the non-physical. (Didn't intend to delve this deep to answer the question 😨). I have painstakingly endured vast experience because I wanted to not only know REAL truth, but to be able to attest to it PERSONALLY from a #bootsontheground place of authenticity and perspective. I have put my life and my #mymoneywheremymouthis . While some people find that inspiring, they also simultaneously and alternatingly find it confronting and annoying, and I'm therefore just not in a rush to release filet mignon even to persons who know its not fish (filet) because I want to do my process in my time for my enjoyment alone period and THEN if on the eavesdrop another being benefits, great, but mostly, at this point, I'm just about enjoying me. It's taken me a long time to even get re-released into physical space again that allows me to be free from curious and inspired but then turned-jealous eyes. There is no rush. I think I will just happily continue being and enjoying me, continuing to perfect my craft, and if it never goes public on RUclips, at least I'm continuing to BE THE CHANGE I wished to see in the world, and thus by doing so, metaphysically, I hold space for all and any other(s) who chooses to find their way. ...like the content and comments I posted 20 years ago on Facebook but restricted ...to an audience of one, me, because then I could document in real time and quasi publicly, my possible pearls without making them available for consumption to scorning disregarders. And time would reveal if how I felt and what I thought was true, was true, and thus valid despite...) Also, early on, in 1996, a would-be investor in a client of mine said, "It takes nine months to make a baby, and three women working together still cannot do it in three. ¿What's holding me back from starting my RUclips channel? Realization: Nothing! I HAVE started it. I started my first of three channels in 2009, and I have consistently and continually generated and created amazing content some of which I really enjoy, though NONE of which I have released. 🤔 Hmmm, It is RELEASING the content that I have held back from AND the more I understand the process, the more I'm okay with that because I have been moving STEADILY forward on this SAME process since I was five years old, when while my mother was sleeping upstairs (my Dad was at work and my sisters at school) I stood in the living room with a butcher knife in one hand, 😮 yes, a 5-year-old holding a butcher knife 🔪 and a cardboard box in the other, attempting to figure out what part of the 📦 I needed to cut out in order to have my head show up in the box with one side completely open like the people on 📺 tv, showed up in the tv box. {By the way, when I was 55, I finally figured out the configuration; a box showed up with only 5 sides to it, AND, the bottom had just enough cut out that I could insert my neck and my head would be -- in-- the box like the box was the tv and I was in it ...on tv. } Its not like at five, I thought the people were "in" the tv. No. I knew they were in a studio and showing UP ON tv, but I ALSO knew, that for ME, playing with ME, by myself to myself and completely for the pleasure of myself, if I could figure out the necessary CUTOUT, which I was willing to chance even with such a dangerous KNOWING-I-WASN'T-SUPPOSED-TO-MESS-WITH tool (butcher knife), I would be able to put myself "ON TV" TO MYSELF and be able to see my head in the box in the mirror and be able to say TO MYSELF all the important things I not only had and HAVE to say, but I would know that I would listen, because I had REALLY important things i needed to say, and (for some reason), I needed to be on TV to say them, and to say them ONLY to persons who cared to hear them and would not only understand but accommodate -- act accordingly as a result of the message. Playing by myself as frequently as I did I knew I was a WORTHY and effective playmate -- delivering complete enjoyment with no BS of ANY kind on the backend. That continues to be so. Thank you SO MUCH for the opportunity to explore and get to know and accept myself more and anew, and Thank you for the opportunity to share this exploration in real time here. Peace Out 🕊️🚪💨

Hey i just checked out your channel and i think your videos are so good very good quality and structured so well but i think you’d really benefit on changing your thumbnails to something more eye catching like having your face on them i think it helps people relate to the content first like wow shes a real human :)

@@tarraluhave you tried the thumbnail testing feature yet? You can upload 3 thumbnails and RUclips will show those randomly to people as your video is public and after 14 days gives you results as to which thumbnail caused the most engagement.
@@mimisart So I just found out about this feature. I'm actually testing it out with a video I posted two days ago. I'm looking forward to seeing what it says. Have you used this feature yet? Did you find it useful?

I think I will just happily continue being and enjoying me, continuing to perfect my craft, and if it never goes public on RUclips, at least I'm continuing to BE THE CHANGE I wished to see in the world, and thus by doing so, metaphysically, I hold space for all and any other(s) who chooses to find their way. ...like the content and comments I posted 20 years ago on Facebook
but restricted ...to an audience of one, me, because then I could document in real time and quasi publicly, my possible pearls without making them available for consumption to scorning disregarders.
🤔 Hmmm, It is RELEASING the content that I have held back from AND the more I understand the process, the more I'm okay with that because I have been moving STEADILY forward on this SAME process since I was five years old, when while my mother was sleeping upstairs (my Dad was at work and my sisters at school) I stood in the living room with a butcher knife in one hand, 😮 yes, a 5-year-old holding a butcher knife 🔪 and a cardboard box in the other, attempting to figure out what part of the 📦 I needed to cut out in order to have my head show up in the box with one side completely open like the people on 📺 tv, showed up in the tv box. {By the way, when I was 55, I finally figured out the configuration; a box showed up with only 5 sides to it, AND, the bottom had just enough cut out that I could insert my neck and my head would be -- in-- the box like the box was the tv and I was in it ...on tv. }
Its not like at five, I thought the people were "in" the tv.
Thank you SO MUCH for the opportunity to explore and get to know and accept myself more and anew, and
Thank you for the opportunity to share this exploration in real time here.
Peace Out
