Excellent video and brilliant review!! Totally agree with everything you said and the little gripes Hope all is well, take care and wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas
I've often thought about trying their breakfast but never have, I think I'll have to give it a go. The standard daytime menu is great, particularly the Makhani Dal which is honestly fantastic and usually I just order that with rice. Hope you and the family have a very Happy Christmas.
Dal Makhani is my favorite dish, and everyone, I have introduced it to has loved it.I have suggested it to Gary several times, but so far he hasn’t tried it.I love Baingan Bharta,as well.
It was interesting to see what an Indian breakfast would look like for someone who liked the cuisine and had deep pockets. You certainly enjoyed it. Will you be taking a break over Christmas? Why not reward yourself with a few well deserved days off, now you have easily surpassed your self-imposed target for Christmas. Be good and love to the family x
Never had breakfast only dinner or lunch. Heard at breakfasts the tea is unlimited. Did you pick up the dishoom charm ? It’s free and not everyone knows about it but if you present it to the waiter at point of paying the bill, they bring out a dice and if you throw a six the bill is free, not just for one guest but all guest eating. Love dishoom it’s our family favorite for special a occasions
The chai was unlimited, I didn’t get it though as I just wanted the tomato juice. I didn’t know about that charm thing, but good to know, I will remember for next time 🙂
One of my Son's favourite restaurants, he eats there regularly. I really like Bloody Marys but only have them on aeroplanes. They are ultimate flight cocktail for some reason, Lol.

I think it’s clean - but water marked by the dishwasher. It’s a problem in hard water areas. We had that problem when we lived in Hampshire - where the water continues to be disgusting. The omelette looked great.
Great stuff. Been to the Birmingham one plenty of times, LOVE their bacon naan breakfast roll. Really surprised you didn’t think much of the bacon, reckon you got unlucky. It’s great IMO. Definitely sample the main menu some time. Totally worth it!
The food looked great, but I couldn't help noticing the mirror at the beginning of the video-it seemed to have watermarks and wasn't as clean as it could be. The cutlery was also a bit off-putting; a quick polish by whoever set the table would have made a big difference. It does make me wonder about the rest of the kitchen, though. Hmmm.
The restaurant is an interesting concept for sure. I would have taken off a full point for dirty cutlery because that should never happen. Makes me wonder what the kitchen is like! Thanks Greeno!

@@HelenBetts-j6w. As I worked for many years as a chef, I would think the dishwashing machine needed to be cleaned out, not an excuse as in most restaurants the cutlery is polished after washing, usually the polisher will tell the dishwasher that his/her machine is in need of cleaning. The dishwasher may not notice,as when washing the cutlery they fill a basket, the cutlery is laying flat, after running it through the machine, they usually give the whole basket to the polisher, usually a busser.
Has some popular video editing program updated their backing music library recently? For the last week or so, everytime I watch Greeno or other RUclipsers, its like i'm at a rave.
Interesting take on a fusion breakfast, actually the omelette contained the sort of thing you would get with your eggs in an Indian household, but it would be scrambled, not an omelette. The other breakfast was pretty much an English sandwich just on naan. Chola masala, Aloo curry, breads, are typical breakfast items followed by,puri stuffed with peas, or lentils, and fish curries, then sandesh,a very different breakfast to ours.My Indian friend eats bagels for breakfast with coffee, and her family thinks she is crazy, the keep telling her she isn’t American.
@GreenoEats Same here. An Asian girl I worked with told me how to do scrambled eggs the Pakistani way. Mainly an onion fried until clear to have a bit of crunch, green chillies, I used two for six eggs, pinch of ground red pepper, salt and fried in ghee. So flavoursome. 👍
I'm glad this was decent enough but I gotta say the "fusion-ish" food doesn't appeal to me. For the money I'd rather go for a proper South Indian breakfast with a two foot long paper dosa, some sambar, idli and poori masala. But that's just me being a silly old traditionalist! Great review as always.
@@GreenoEats sadly not down here, but there must be one along that long stretch in Bournemouth leading to Boscombe. I did when I lived in Nottingham, there was an excellent small chain of Keralan restaurants called "Kayal" across the East Midlands, still there in Nottingham according to my daughter.
Greeno, one thing I noticed is that in the UK if one person is dining they will bring all your courses at once. So one dish is getting cold while you eat the first course or the starter. That's the only reason my husband sends back a meal - if it's cold. He even insists on a hot plate. And we live in the tropics!!! Love your videos. Just wondering what area you live in as you travel a lot to restaurants. Oh and congratulations on the 20K!!!!
Yes, That's true, unless it is clearly a starter, main course, dessert you tend to get it all together! I live in Dorset, but do try to get around a bit!!
Had breakfast at Dishoom in King's Cross, and lunch/dinner at the Soho location. Love the food, even if it is a bit dear 😅 The house chai is worth a trip in and of itself!
At first I thought oh no Indian breakfast that’s stomach ulcer city spicy food first thing in morning but I was wrong. smoking and vaping or taking Ibuprofen in the morning is more likely to. So that breakfast for me is bang on all day as I love spice. Great review Greeno and score I think is fair. X
Call me a skeptic but I often wonder if that restaurant feedback, especially when I manager also calls, is due to being recognised. However, food-wise a nice take on British favourites with an Indian twist. Now I had to smile on your choice of drink - rather fitting at this time of year :D Now despite my 'day job' I am not a religious person (Heritage is my thingy). So I will pass on my best wishes for the feastivities to you, Mrs G,. Little-un and Greenager. Hope to catch up with you next weekend.
I don't think they recognised me, but maybe the camera on the table might up the service level. Best wishes to you and your for this festive period David!
That did look really creative, original, and fun. I do love a good concept, well executed. And this place seems pretty brilliant. Shame about the bacon, but a minor slip. I do agree about the utensils, though - cleanliness in a restaurant is so important, and allowing the cutlery to be dirty is not a great way to establish trust. Still, things happen, and they do seem to have done the kind of job that argues it was a one-off error. I think you were very fair.
Yes, really interesting the "fusion" style of the breakfast, taking the elements of the English breakfast and integrating them into the Indian style. Shame about the cutlery (I did check the rest of them, they were fine, can heppen)
Hi greeno. Wow that breakfast looked amazing but as a manc welder I get a sausage bacon and egg barm and a brew for a fiver but do have to eat it in the van😅 .gl with your channel and have a great Xmas with your family 😅
I thought it was a place that only cooked Mushrooms in all there meals. just the place for you to go. Yes for London £35 seems to be what meals are in London. any where else it would seem or be a little too much. and especially the service charge.
The food looked very good Greeno, as you say there no excuses for dirty utensils however. Great review. Are you off to Old Trafford tomorrow Greeno? ⚽️ ….Smithy
Really good breakfast, the cutlery slipping through wasn't great though as you say. Not heading up to Manchester - just too busy in the run up to Christmas pal. How about you... Harrogate away today isn't it?
Food looks absolutely banging. I love Dishoom. I just have a little worry that there is an element of bing and ding centrally produced food. What do you think Greeno ?
You never said if it got a green amber or red light, I think we can all guess the colour though 😃 loved the look of the naan breakfast sandwich made me hungry just looking at it.
@@GreenoEats I had the chicken keema and the unlimited Chai - it was thoroughly spectacular Fantastic service as well, even gave me more chai on the way out in a take-away cup. The only other place that was open nearby on Sunday morning was a McD's - absolutely packed full of tourists. What a mistake!
I like Canary Wharf. nowhere else in London like it. Something a little different food wise too, I think I would have struggled with that bap for breakfast but definitely lunch and the drink sounded and looked delicious. Not too bad price wise considering the location. I was thinking 4.5 too, shame about the cutlery. Hope you tried the champagne bar at Waitrose!
I haven’t been to Canary Wharf much, but it seems to have a bit less hustle and bustle than much of London (I suppose cos everyone is hard at work in those office blocks!)
@ yea is a pity I had the bacon nann and it was tasty I thought, (was earlier this year at a different branch), maybe supplier has changed or tasted better as didn’t get lost with other ingredients and there being more of it. Btw - went to Puro Gusto in Bournemouth yesterday. Great meal. 24yr old Italian chef’ opened the place. Olive oil from her Nonnas farm shipped over. Quality. £ but I felt you got what you paid for as it were
Just stopping by to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Leave some room for Christmas dinner, and may Santa bring you everything on your wish list. 😉 Cheers from California. Oh, i just had a giant piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast. The whole pie is just $5.99 at Costco, bargain of the century!
Thank you, that's very kind. Best wishes for the festive season to you and yours too! How was the pie (I hope it wasn't leftover from Thanksgiving haha!)
Jaysis Greeno your some man to put away a breakfast. Did you really eat the two of them? The breakfast sandwich 🥪 looked off the charts. I wouldn’t really knock the prices considering they offer such a great twist on the breakfasts. Iv been missing a lot of your videos (and everybody else’s) because of Christmas 🎄. It’s such a busy time. Anyway, I really enjoyed this one fair play to you 👍
It's a tough job Philip, but someone's got to do it! On the days I film, what you see on camera tends to be all I eat that day, so putting a bit more away in one meal is a bit more acceptable 🙂 Merry Christmas to your and yours - I hope you're making the most of the festive season so far!

Thanks Mike, that's very kind of you. I will definitely be in Manchester during next year (I had a year up there about 30 years ago, many fond memories of the Curry Mile and Abduls Kebabs!)
Dear Greeners old boy! Love your videos. Now how about a trip to Cardiff? And review the "Spice Quarter" Indian restaurant, which I think is great. Located in the so called "Brewery Quarter", where the old Brains Brewery used to be. (Just off St Mary Street). Whilst your at it you can have a pint of Rev James in the Old Arcade, a fabulous and iconic Cardiff boozer. Can have a walk down Corporation Road too, but you won't find many pubs in Grangetown any more. Pip Pip, and thanks for your work! Excellent stuff.
Now Greeno, you know Gary gets told off for saying Naan bread, thought you would know better, lol! Those dishes did look extremely tasty, what price is the Bloody Mary, if that's the price of a Virgin? I would imagine back in old Bombay handing out cutlery like that, the culprit would of been taken out and flogged? The days of the Raj! Another tasty video, Happy Christmas to you and the Greeno family! 🎄
I think the Bloody Mary was about £11 - punchy, but for those swanky business folk in Canary Wharf with their expense accounts it's a mere trifle I am sure! Thanks for the kind wishes Terry - I would like to extend the very best of festive wishes to you and yours from all here at Greeno Towers!
Good video, Greeno .... That's a very expensive part of town .... The food looked okay, and I'm glad you always choose interesting places for breakfast .... Listen, mate ... Be careful with restaurants that use dirty cutlery ... It's a massive red flag in the food and beverage industry .... But anyway, you didn't tempt me with beers and cuppacinos today 😂
An unusual Saturday upload folks - with an unusual breakfast - let me know what you think!!
Would you have either of these breakfast options? If so which would you pick??

Only available until 11.45, then they switch to the lunch menu.
@@GreenoEatsthank you 😊
Top guy always on point cheers greeno ❤
Ah, you're too kind Dave!!
Had breakfast at Dishoom in King's Cross, and lunch/dinner at the Soho location. Love the food, even if it is a bit dear 😅 The house chai is worth a trip in and of itself!
I didn’t have the chai this time, but maybe I will next time 🙂
At first I thought oh no Indian breakfast that’s stomach ulcer city spicy food first thing in morning but I was wrong. smoking and vaping or taking Ibuprofen in the morning is more likely to. So that breakfast for me is bang on all day as I love spice. Great review Greeno and score I think is fair. X
It was a very tasty breakfast indeed! Give it a try if you get the chance 🙂
Cracking alternative breakfast. The food looked decent mate.
It was very pleasing Tim!
Do you share with your cameraman/woman?
Whenever I have one yes, on this occasion I was flying solo.
@GreenoEats I am curious about the rest of their food, though ... beyond breakfast. Hint, hint.
Hi greeno. Wow that breakfast looked amazing but as a manc welder I get a sausage bacon and egg barm and a brew for a fiver but do have to eat it in the van😅 .gl with your channel and have a great Xmas with your family 😅
Nothing wrong with a down to earth cafe or van knocking out decent scran. Sounds alright to me 🙂 Merry Christmas to you and yours too!
I thought it was a place that only cooked Mushrooms in all there meals. just the place for you to go.
Yes for London £35 seems to be what meals are in London.
any where else it would seem or be a little too much. and especially the service charge.
I once had breakfast at a mushroom farm, that was a mistake!!
@ it is Greeno, like yourself probably any other Saturday I would have gone and stayed overnight…. To close to Christmas that one for me unfortunately
I’ve eaten at their South Ken. Location and really enjoyed the food and vibe !
Yeah, I think it was a definite success
Looks delicious Greeno, but what doe's Mrs Greeno get to eat?
She was in Dorset at work, don’t know what she ate that day haha
Food looks absolutely banging. I love Dishoom. I just have a little worry that there is an element of bing and ding centrally produced food. What do you think Greeno ?
I didn't get that impression from the breakfast menu I had - very hard to microwave an omelette to that standard :-)
You never said if it got a green amber or red light, I think we can all guess the colour though 😃 loved the look of the naan breakfast sandwich made me hungry just looking at it.
Yep, green light from me!
That bombay music was awesome 1:06
🙂
Yet again I watch when hungry, when will I learn lol. That looked mouthwateringly good!
It was very tasty indeed 🙂
Interesting - I'm in Edinburgh as I type this and am about to go to Dishoom for breakfast tomorrow - hope it's good!
I hope you enjoy it 🙂
@@GreenoEats I had the chicken keema and the unlimited Chai - it was thoroughly spectacular Fantastic service as well, even gave me more chai on the way out in a take-away cup. The only other place that was open nearby on Sunday morning was a McD's - absolutely packed full of tourists. What a mistake!
Oh, and the cutlery was pristine at the Edinburgh branch!
@@DaveF. You made the right choice Dave !!
@@DaveF. Glad to hearthe cutlery polisher was on the ball in Edinburgh!
nice as always. wasn't Gary there before? or DJ?
I think Gary might have reviewed the main menu, don’t know if Darren has done it or not.
It looks like a nice Indian restaurant ❤
It was very nicely designed and decorated
Thank you Greeno, from a soaking wet Cyprus. 🤗🤗🙋♀🙋♀
Oh no, that's no fun on the weekend. It's been wet here too, but we expect it!!
Dishoom is a cool name 💖🎄
Different certainly 🙂
What a different lovely breakfast 👍
It was pretty darned good 🙂
Had their nann roll thingy…loved it.
It was tasty, just a shame the bacon was lost.
Quality. £ but I felt you got what you paid for as it were
@@davehannigan1788 Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look!
That looks great to me. Shame about the cutlery. Something I always look at when eating out. Great to watch a relaxing review after a tough day 😉
Really enjoyed the breakfast, and really appreciate your kind words, thank you!
@@GreenoEatsIt was delicious and fresh. Costco always sells quality items. 😊
Happy Yule today Greeno ❤
Thank you!
On the days I film, what you see on camera tends to be all I eat that day, so putting a bit more away in one meal is a bit more acceptable 🙂
Merry Christmas to your and yours - I hope you're making the most of the festive season so far!
Have a good Xmas greeno you and gary have become legends I'm not a foodie but watching u guys is pure entertainment all the best from Manchester hey our famous curry mile for 2025 at some time
Thanks Mike, that's very kind of you.
Cardiff is on the list for 2025!!
@@GreenoEats Love Cardiff Greeno ❤
Did you ask for clean cutlery?
There was a pot of cutlery on the table, I found clean stuff in there here 🙂
Looks lovely. Apart from the dirty cutlery and the sausages. I like my sausages with a bit of colour and crisp.
True, the sausage could have had more colour, but it was nicely cooked through.
Mate just seen Gary's latest trip to clarksons pub, you most definitely need to revisit it.. It looked amazing, need your views on it
I was planning to go back some time in the spring to see if things had improved.
Nice one mate! Next time when you visit a chippy shop ask for Puri Chole 🤦
That's something you can get in a chippy??
fired bread - almost tastes like fried bread - I'm guessing that was just a typo on the menu 😅
Haha, maybe you're right!
The Dishoom lunch menu is superb if you want to try it out.
I will at some point next year, can't wait!!
@@GreenoEats Thank you, enjoy!
HI good video 🎅🎅
Thanks 🙂
think I would rather find a Greasy Joe's,but fair enough the presentation was very good
A lot of the time a greasy spoon does the job perfectly 🙂
Good video, Greeno .... That's a very expensive part of town .... The food looked okay, and I'm glad you always choose interesting places for breakfast .... Listen, mate ... Be careful with restaurants that use dirty cutlery ... It's a massive red flag in the food and beverage industry .... But anyway, you didn't tempt me with beers and cuppacinos today 😂
I went through all the cutlery and this was the only obviously unclean one. It certainly was an interesting breakfast, well cooked.
