It looked and sounded absolutely delicious, Greeno! Absolutely my type of food as it's made with proper ingredients and with a chef or chefs who know how to handle those ingredients. Pheasant is one of my favourite meats and it looked absolutely fabulous! Definitely a place I have put on my list to visit. Writing this without finishing the video yet, but it's easy to see and hear that's quality food!
You bring back memories yet again! My Great Uncle was a gamekeeper in Walditch, near Bridport. I remember visiting him just before Christmas and being served pheasant. We had a competition to see who could line up the most lead shot on the side of their plate! With almost half a pheasant each, and them being the most "mangled" from that season's shoot, there were plenty to be collected! One of Dad's cousins then used the shot to make weights for fishing! Recycling at it's riskiest - melting lead wasn't recommended! Dad came away with a tray of pheasant eggs which he then put under a couple broody bantams and that was the start of us raising and releasing pheasants around our area, repopulating a decimated region (this was 20 or so years after the end of WW2) and ensuring plenty of game birds each season! The food - it all looked sensational and so nicely presented. Glad Mrs Greeno was able to join you and enjoy quality time with you, over the meal!
It looks like there was a lot going in those dishes. I gather the dessert (the custard dish ) was your favorite. 😋😋 Flavor and Texture . What a find with found. Bucket list for us. A nice find for you Greeno . Thank you for the tasty tour. All the best.👍👍 Jim and Harriet
"I don't know how you milk an oat." 😆 Places like "Found" are hidden gems. It's all about the passion for food and that's what a restaurant should be about. Big chains could learn a few things from small businesses like "Found". Brilliant review, Greeno. I really enjoyed watching that & a big hello to Mrs. Greeno!
You explain flavours in such great detail that I feel like I tasted all those wonderful dishes as well. So well presented and seemed great quality, nice that Mrs. Greeno was able to sample your new favourite restaurant. Fun review as always!
My kind of place, relaxed, clean and bright. Whoever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Glad you were able to highlight this place, they deserve to go from strength to strength.
Alas it seems my review has come too late - I found out tonight that just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
This looks like an almost perfect place! Excellent ingredients, brilliant cooking talent and ideas, originality that stays this side of chaotic disaster, exceptionally reasonable pricing, taste in everything from food to decor, great service.... nothing to improve except why is it not located near me! You've scored big, amigo, and kudos to Mrs G for cornering the end of that dessert!
You hit the nail on the head there Heidi, which makes the news I got this evening even more maddening. Just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year as the financial pressures of running the business have become too much - it's a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
Looks like a superb lunch. It was nice to meet Mrs. Greeno. Perhaps every so often you could do reviews with Mrs. Greeno as well; and she could also give us here rating.
It really was excellent. Mrs Greeno does pop up time to time, but she doesn't really enjoy being on the camera, and I respect that if it's not something she is comfortable with then I am not going to try to cajole her. I know she's a bit more "eye candy" than your regular host haha!!
Hi Greeno! That really is a good find. I do very much enjoy the reviews of independent establishments, where they take pride in great food & service. The menu sounded fantastic. Great of Mrs Greeno to appear in the review too. Like with your recent bakery vlog, this would also be right up my alley. All your dishes were beautifully presented & looked very tasty. Top notch descriptions of the food too. Thoroughly enjoyed this Greeno. All the best to you & Mrs Greeno. Take care. 😊
You've definitely 'found' a quality and quirky little place there Greeno. Love pheasant, although I haven't eaten it for years, and it was great to see it on the menu there. Glad you enjoyed it all. 😊
I live in Dorchester and I've eaten here plenty of times.....however....Neal and Catriona have just announced they are closing. I want to start a campaign to save it and all of the jobs for the staff. This is a FANTASTIC place, let's fight to keep it!
What a great restaurant, Greeno with its beautifully presented and tasty food! The flavour combinations are fantastic so no wonder it’s your new favourite eating place! The dessert was a work of art and had my mouth watering! The restaurant certainly earned a 5+!
Greeno those meals were very well presented. Mrs. Greeno is so cute and her oat milk latte looked very good. That sourdough is just as I like it. That crispy sound and not too dense. The dessert looked very inviting. Very clever how they foamed the custard. What a well earned Green light. Glad you Found that place. I hope you go again and review more of the menu. 💚
Hi Denise - yes this was such an excellent find. Unfortunately though just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
@GreenoEats That is such a shame. I feel sad for them. There is a bakery in Lancashire that has quite a few shops and have managed to do almost 120 years. Sadly the business cannot continue. Strange and sad times.
What a shame they can’t make it, though it doesn’t surprise me. Reading comments not necessarily on the channel, I don’t think most people are ready for this type of restaurant. I loved the look of the total menu, and happy for you both that you had such a nice lunch. Some years ago I worked in a 4 star NYC restaurant, and one of my jobs was making the terrines including one that had imported Scottish hare in it, and on the package it came in, it advised to look out for pellets. Gougeres are one of my favorite things, there used to be to be a cheese centric restaurant called Artisanal, and they gave you gougeres to start the meal.
It maddens me that you see chain restaurants packed to the rafters when you can get this kind of quality for not much more money, and they go to the wall. I hope they can regroup and come back, because they clearly have some real skill, flair and imagination.
WOW , just wow This is my kind of food , life's for living and this place just proves there's still pleasure to be found . Just taken delivery of a new car and we need a good run in it , Lancashire to Dorset seems like a pre Xmas plan 🤣 What a super review and the best foodie vlog I've seen in ages mate 👍
It was an exceptional meal, it really was. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the video so much - as I was editing it I thought to myself that it was probably one of the best I had put together!!
Very interesting and I hope that I will get to try it when I am in Dorchester. Looking at their website it might be worth mentioning that their opening days are a little limited. Breakfast shows as Wednesday-Saturday as is Lunch. Dinner is Thursday- Saturday only.
Lets get you to over 20K subscribers Greeno. You deserve this. I thought Dorchester was one of the most expensive Central London Hotels. LOL. Its only £740 per night so cheap.
HI Greeno another great little restaurant you have found and the food looked good. I have never eaten pheasant and those other dishes are not really my type of food but would enjoy the desert. Sorry could not give a mark for this/ Glad to hear that you both had a great meal
It was truly stunning, although I just found out they announced yesterday they will be closing soon, succumbing to the financial pressure. Such a shame. I’ll be at Dean Court tomorrow, my mate bought the tickets this time, so not sure where we are sat.
What a fantastic place top quality ingredients fantastic flavours very ingenious and no pretentiousness. Absolutely gorgeous a definite return visit me thinks.
It was truly spectacular - I hope to go again, but just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
Hello again, Mrs Greeno! I think you @Greeno and myself share our sentiments about cinnamon in desert, so I am intrigued by your comment. Need to taste it one day.
It's a clever chef qho can put cinnamon in a pudding and not have me moan about it. The aerated custard on top of the crumble is genuinely one of the most delicious things I ever tasted!!
It looks a REALLY nicely presented lunch, somewhere I will try. I hope you don't mind me saying that we need to see more good food close ups as vloggers (and I include others) sometimes focus more on the eater than the food and good camera angles. I agree that the presentation of the food in FOUND, was exceptional, far surpassing 95% of other eateries. A delight. I look forward to your next review.
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. If you want to try it, then you'll need to hurry though, just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
Evening Greeno and Mrs Greeno, Starters well for me they look like refugees from a Wedding or Christening Buffet. Got to be said. Pheasants are a game bird, and quite unlikely to be feeding on Buttermilk. So basically a posh goujon 😊Ham Hock Croquettes, the spread, the Cherry gel. Looks like a cartoon splodge 😱Seems a well filled Croquette, I thought it was a tadge overcooked. Open Sandwiches can hit the spot. That looked lush. My one concern Bloomin'Sourdough Bread can't they offer a choice 🍞🤔? Crumble, again a posh version. It all looked fabulous, a very modern take on lunch. Maybe a touch upmarket for this 'umble chap😂🤔. Just have to comment on the Scarf ( homemade or brought from a Dr Who Convention) but Mrs Greeno carried it off. See you in the next video Allan&Family
It was indeed fabulous, and certainly a little posher than I normally get to enjoy, although not at posh pricing! Sadly though it seems they are falling victim to economic pressures, just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!! The scarf is from Joules apparently....
I had it a few times as a kid - they wander around the countryside, and sometimes one would wander into the path of my Dad's Ford Cortina on a backroad, and end up in our oven!
There is not many places that I have Found somatt good enuff to eat but here we are. And the actual food looked ok as well :D. Kidding aside, you hit the jack-in-the-pot with this one.
Yes - a real shame - we didn't know at the time of filming - now I need to try and get back there for a meal off camera before they have to close the doors.
(26) Bit of a rare fish finding a place where every dish you pick is beautifully done and has innovative flavour profiles. FOUND should be getting a swarm of new covers coming in after this one. Huzzah for the independent eateries!!!
I hope they do, as it seems just yesterday they announced they will have to close at the end of the year. A real shame, I hope there are a good few bookings to help them go out with a bang!!
Wow well this looked fantastic Greeno!! Not surprised you gave this a 5+ Glad you and Missis Greeno had a lovely date afternoon. I’m sure you will be back to this one especially as it’s not far for you!! Top video ….Smithy
We absolutely loved it Smithy. However, I found out tonight that just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - real shame as it is incredible.
It was a really special lunch - sadly seems little chance to have more... just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
You would have to hurry - just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
something a little bit different this one greeno and i must say it all looked really good i love pheasant shame you dont see it much on menus its so good if cooked right can be a bit dry otherwise : )
Yes pleasant Tucker but still if I pay £53 for lunch for two it's way above what I normally pay, yes all the food looked great- very posh but I don't think I'm at that level 😢
That's fair enough, but I'd say if you wanted a place to treat yourself on a special occasion this is the kind of place that would provide great food at a lower cost than other more disappointing places!!
Just had a look 👀 on Google and the owner says he is closing before Xmas due to rising prices. Is there another of these in Dorchester Mr Greeno, be a real shame, food looking superb
Strange name - do they have another restaurant called ‘Lost’ then? 😂 (Starter plate) Sounds like blue cheese and pear profiterole 🤷♀️ Both ‘mains’ look like they’re missing accompaniments to make them complete dishes - I’d still be hungry after eating one of them (they’re not inexpensive!) ☹️ (Dessert) It must have been good for you to ignore the cinnamon! 😂 It looked pretty 👍
Evening folks - let me know if this is the kind of food you would enjoy!
We thought it was exceptional!
It looked and sounded absolutely delicious, Greeno! Absolutely my type of food as it's made with proper ingredients and with a chef or chefs who know how to handle those ingredients. Yes, definitely 👍💯
Yes, although I'm with you Greeno with the Oat/Almond milk debacle 🎉
That would be my tastebuds heaven .
Thank you so much for singing the praises of British game!! It is so underrated and largely snubbed by many. Btw, all UK game has been shot!
You bring back memories yet again!
My Great Uncle was a gamekeeper in Walditch, near Bridport. I remember visiting him just before Christmas and being served pheasant. Thank you Paul. The creativity of the chef was remarkable, as was the execution of the food - really happy I had the chance to enjoy this meal.
Always think it’s a good thing supporting small independent businesses like this, especially when they’re good!
Agreed, and this one was truly excellent !
Thank you Greeno and Mrs G, looked lovely. My kind of food, I get Partridge here delicious. Smiles from soggy Cyprus. 🙋♀🙋♀🤗🤗
Glad you enjoyed it (from an equally sogy Dorset!)
I think i'm developing a healthy Greeno addiction. Glad you and your wife were out together and supporting local businesses.
Mrs Greeno would prbably tell you a Greeno addiction is not healthy haha!!
The menu and ambience sounds great ❤
Yes - a really little gem
That's great that it's locally sourced etc❤
That's something that should always be encouraged!!
That's a great name for a restaurant ❤
Yes, especially as they focus on foraging etc.

What a wonderful little place ye FOUND Greeno, it's great to see Mrs Greeno out with ye. 💚✌️
It was lovely (the restaurant and the lunch with Mrs Greeno!)
My friend, what a video and a half. Beautiful food, fantastically presented. An absolute gem💎

Glad you found Found deserved a 5+

Fantastic. !! Your really enjoying your content and so are we, keep up the great work.
I am having a blast making the content - I am glad you're enjoying the output!!
I'm glad that the food was so good another great review Greeno ❤
Thank you!
Great review , would it be possible to speak to your mate Gary and ask him to do a review to help prevent the closure of this excellent restaurant ?
He's certainly got a bit more clout than me haha!!
It looks cosy❤
Lots of nice cushions to nestle into!
Supporting local businesses excellent
Always have, always will 🙂
I love pheasant! I was debating whether or not getting some for Xmas, you certainly helped making up my mind! The whole meal looked scrumptious!
There's no debate - do it :-)
20k just around the corner!!! Keep on 💚'o, i love you reviews

All the cool kids drink oat flat whites 😎 wow, what a find, that food looked absolutely delicious. Great vid!
I knew Mrs Greeno was one of the cool kids (what's she doing with me you might wonder haha!!)
Croquettes are hugely underestimated. I lived in Holland for 5 years and they do them amazing.

Great when you find a gem like that, and no service charge a bonus. Very enjoyable review, cheers Greeno 😊👍
Glad you enjoyed it Nigel - it was absolutely excellent.
Definitely a lunch stop as opposed to a dinner place. Looked really good mate.
They do larger plates on their evening menu - venison loin and the like
I'm glad you're enjoying the food I've never had pheasant ❤

Glad you and Missis Greeno had a lovely date afternoon.
I’m sure you will be back to this one especially as it’s not far for you!! Top video ….Smithy
We absolutely loved it Smithy. However, I found out tonight that just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - real shame as it is incredible.
@ that is a huge shame!!!! This country is becoming one that I am really starting to detest for so many reasons.
@@theabandonedhunter3604 if this place was in France it would be thriving, while the chain restaurants would be empty!
@ 💯 agreed!!
Foraging ingredients awesome mate
Yes, you get some interesting and unusual flavours in foraged ingredients!
Brilliant review. Very well narrated.
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
Afternoon ❤
Afternoon right back atcha!
Next time you're in Yorkshire, come to my village, there's a wagyu farm that also sells wagyu burgers and loaded fries.... it's called Wortley Wagyu
Thanks for the tip!
Great looking place there Greeno,
Great upload and a lovely looking Thumbnail sir
It was a really special lunch - sadly seems little chance to have more... just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
That's a real shame 😥
@@davidjones6470 indeed David
excellent review mate
Thanks you Stephen, much appreciated!
Fantastic
It really was superb Ray
Love to see independents doing well. Great review 😃
It was absolutely brilliant.
Wow everything looked so tasty, love a good sandwich. Mrs Greeno, where did you get your scarf? :)
It was great! I think this scarf of Mrs Greeno's is from Joules
I checked the restaurant up on Facebook, and the saddest thing is that they are closing on dec. 23. Apparently because of rising costs.
Yes, I found that out tonight - very sad news indeed
Loving your channel - please review Midsummer House in Cambridge. Best food in Britain in my opinion
That's the Daniel Clifford place right? A pricey affair no doubt, but I will check it out.
A wonderful place to eat. One to visit.
You would have to hurry - just yesterday they announced they would have to close at the end of the year - which is a real shame as I think this is possibly the best place for quality and value I have reviewed!!
@@GreenoEats That is a real shame.
This is more like it!
Excellent food, and very fairly priced!
something a little bit different this one greeno and i must say it all looked really good i love pheasant shame you dont see it much on menus its so good if cooked right can be a bit dry otherwise : )
A good chef will make any meat tasty and succulent!
@@GreenoEats agreed : )
Yes pleasant Tucker but still if I pay £53 for lunch for two it's way above what I normally pay, yes all the food looked great- very posh but I don't think I'm at that level 😢
That's fair enough, but I'd say if you wanted a place to treat yourself on a special occasion this is the kind of place that would provide great food at a lower cost than other more disappointing places!!
Looks so delicious!
Just had a look 👀 on Google and the owner says he is closing before Xmas due to rising prices.
Is there another of these in Dorchester Mr Greeno, be a real shame, food looking superb
Yeah I just heard that tonight myself - really sad news - businesses like this should be supported otherwise they just have to shut the doors.
Sad news 😢
@@HelenBetts-j6w It really is
lost and found
Sadly this place is soon to be lost it appears - sad news that
Sho pastry wid da Chees! Oh yeah! Pheasant may contain lead shot!
Danny The Champion Of The World is a good book about Pheasant hunting! Roald Dhal ;)
Yep, got to be careful, don’t want the lunch to be followed by a trip to the dentist!
@@GreenoEats Someone's not sharing anymore! ;)
@ once she tried it she didn’t want to let it go haha (nor did I though in fairness!)
How much ,,,for two bear mind most people have couple drinks too . Can see that topping a hundred with tips for a brunch ...
Depends how much you had to drink I guess! We had an excellent and fulfilling lunch for half that
Strange name - do they have another restaurant called ‘Lost’ then? 😂
(Starter plate) Sounds like blue cheese and pear profiterole 🤷♀️
Both ‘mains’ look like they’re missing accompaniments to make them complete dishes - I’d still be hungry after eating one of them (they’re not inexpensive!) ☹️
(Dessert) It must have been good for you to ignore the cinnamon! 😂 It looked pretty 👍
I think it's more to do with their foraging activity than anything else!
