great vid it's cool to see that you uploaded 2 recent vids on same day. Fyi I think your the only one that is to this day, sharing vids on this type of unique vehicle. great job thanks.
Thank you. I can confirm that this fixes a sticky door. My rollers were not obviously broken like yours, but the door was extremely difficult to close. After replacement, it's smooth like butter.
Thank you! Great job. You told me what I need to know without a lot of extra talking. I only wish I had replaced this part before I broke the handle trying to slam the door harder and harder. Sigh.
Just paid a visit to our local Mazda Stealership. The part is on national backorder until January 25. Holy smokes! now to find a way to secured the door.
An addendum to this problem. After replacing the roller I noticed the roller would fall out of the track. The track on my car was moving down as the door slid back. The reason was the nut was loose and allowed track movement and the sliding roller was falling off. So when you closed the door it pushed on the rubber. So I had to unsnap the plastic inside the car to reach and tighten that nut so the track would stay in place, solid. The door worked as new after that with tight track and a new roller.
Did the new part last? I'd be afraid whatever caused the last one to break could ruin a new one too. Maybe there was some debris in the rail that messed up the original.
Hope never have to do that. Have a 09 mazda 5 the older one. Backed into something and metal bent where sliding door comes out of back so no way to take it off now. If i had newer one could have replaced light but the older one lights are high.
Nice video. I noticed the third pin was gone on your video. Did you drop it into the door? I did that to mine as well. I took the door apart to get it back out. Turns out you don't need to disassemble that piece at all. Just an fyi for anyone else who attempts the job. Don't mess with the one that has a nut. Leave it alone or you'll drop it in the door and cause yourself a huge headache.
@@sethhorning6876 I wish I had read this before I attempted this repair as I too lost the bolt as it fell inside the door! Glad to hear you were able to retrieve yours? Was it difficult? I am afraid of having to take my door apart!
@@sethhorning6876 if I leave that pin forever trapped in the door; do you know if it's possible to replace it with something else in the assembly? I can't even remember what it looked like since it fell so quickly inside the door.
jacksdad2626 no plans for that at this time. Does not need the replacement yet. If yours really does need to be replaced, search for Mazda 3 videos as they are basically identical. I see one shows that you maybe able to do it without removing intake manifold.
Part number: c513-73-2b0d I can't recall where I got mine, might have been local dealer. Type that part into Google and few places sell it online. I see: parts.mazdaofwooster.com/oem-parts/mazda-roller-assembly-c513732b0c
Very helpful. Hard to find videos on Mazda 5...Thank You!

Thank you so much for this video. Absolutely made my day and saved me a couple of hundred dollars. Much appreciated!
Thanks very much for showing this helpful video. Removing the tail light also allows this roller to be cleaned and lubed properly :)
Just came across this today. Yep. I'm going to need to do this repair too. 2013 Mazda 5. Headed to the stealership for the part.

THANK YOU! This is helpful and very easy to follow 🙏🙌❤️

Great video keep up the great work I’m sure it’ll come in handy with my 2011 Mazda 11
Hi have the 07 Mazda MPV 2.3t motor died while door is open..now does not want to close auto or manually

Both of my sliders are beginning to grind intermittently when opening/closing... Would this be the issue or should I lube the track?
Don't lube as it invites dirt, just swap the rollers.
Thank you so much for this video!!

interesting. our 08 doors are getting sticky half way through the rail. maybe it's the middle roller
thanks for the video, did that fix today. lost the 3rd bolt into the door but not sure that is avoidable.

@@jerrickb don't take the door apart. It was a huge pain. If you do make sure you have a good video and a lot of time 😅

unplug the rubber plug at the bottom of the door and use a magnet attachment to retrieve - I dropped both left and right sides.. 🙂
Thanks for the video. Where can I buy it? I live in Canada.
I got from a Mazda dealer
Thank you. You nailed it!
great job. thanks for this video
Great video thank you. Will you please make a video showing how to replace pcv valve on 2012 mazda 5.Thanks again

Great video, I have the same problem with my 5. Did you buy the part online? Can you share where you bought it?

Maybe that’s what’s wrong with my 2006 Mazda MVP cause my sliding door does not slide smoothly
Very helpful. Thank you.
Great 👌 thanks!
great help!
Good video, also highlights the huge rip off from car manufacturers, having to buy the whole assembly for the sake of a few roller bearings. smh.
Maybe that’s what’s wrong with my sliding door with my 2006 Mazda MVP I’ll take a closer look.Cause it does not slide smoothly
Cheers for vid!
The 06 model tail.lights are a lot harder to remove
I have 09 mazda5 and the back lights come off east. 2 screws and pull pull and it comes off.
Awsome tks 👍
