Top 5 Opening Scenes

This is a ranking of my Top 5 opening scenes! Clearly a very important sequence for setting a specific tone, to hook an audience and introduce main characters in a film. Some of the movie clips in the intro can be seen as honorable mentions, since they are also memorable and great openings.

Contact would be in my list. I recall sitting in the darkness of the auditorium as the Earth dispeared and we travelled beyond the edge of the solar system hearing old broadcast radio. Stunning in a cinema with a good sound system.
