I 100% prefer the Colorado house over the California house. I get happy, chill and happier vibes from both Ryland and Shane when they are in Colorado. 💕
It seems like the house in California just let's them do all of those fun things so it should be their summer house and when the boys grow up they can stay in it maybe like pass it to them for college or whatever. Summer vacations with friends. All sorts of things. Then have another visit end of winter into spring to visit family again for Shanes side. Then at the end of the year for thanksgiving and early christmas with shanes family for a few weeks. Balance it like 80/20 more Colorado.
Live in the Colorado house and go back to LA every few months. Record a bunch of podcasts during that month and you can still have guest come out to Colorado to do podcasts. Let the boys grow up and go to school in Colorado.
They should because I grew up in California and I had the choice to move to Miami or back to California 12 years ago I did not go back to California because the big earthquake is coming they need to be prepared

I feel like Rylan grew up in Colorado, then moved to LA and got freedom, sunshine, and dreams. While Shane grew up LA but found comfort, Safety, and appreciation for the simple joys in life in Colorado. Shane achieved his dreams and saw what it was like and craved a normal family life, but Rylan grew up in a mundane family life, but gained acceptance and inspiration in LA. I understand why this is a really hard decision for them.
Im gonna be blunt in this and its from the best and most loving part of my heart. I honestly think that the California home needs to be sold and yall move to Colorado permanently. Reason #1: when yall are in Colorado the personality change between the both of you is literally monumental. The fact that everyone can tell yall are happier and more comfortable in Colorado should be a sign. Reason #2: most of your audience is from rural areas and to see people that they look up to also do the same and are happy and down to earth about it, changes the perspective of the viewer. Reason #3: me personally I love see you and Shane live out y’all’s best lives in Colorado and doing all the seasonal things, in the appropriate seasons. But hey, at the end of the day you have to do what’s best for you and your family and no one should influence you to do something you don’t want to do. Both houses are beautiful and both have their pros and cons. As a viewer, I’m partial to the Colorado home. We saw such a positive change in Shane’s mental health and Ryland seemed so happy to have his family close by. It’s a tough decision, but you’ll both make the right one for your family.

I dog sit and a bunch of my clients have 2 homes (I’m typically staying and watching the animals at the main house) and they honestly save so much in travel and they look at the house as an investment. They also find people they trust to do monthly check ins at the house for maintenance reasons. I think that some day you’d really regret not having this space to come back to when you visit. Especially if as your boys get older you may want to spend more than 2 times a year there. Going for short weekend etc.
The fact that I just realized the name is because of the barn 🤣🤣🤣 Having him say it in Rupauls voice I think is what did it 🤣 🤣🤣 Just keep both homes!! 💜

I screamed in excitement to hear that the boys will be experiencing a white Christmas this year in Colorado. Please travel safely and make sure to take good care of your mental health. I know that being in the cold weather and cooped up inside for weeks on and can be pretty exhausting, but it will bring so much joy to the boys and you all to share memories in that home with the alpacas, can’t wait to see contents in Colorado sending love from Minnesota.
