Okay but is no one gonna talk about how that professor broke ferpa laws? She can get fired for giving another student's work to a peer without written consent 🤦🏻♀️
Well, I think Hardin wanted to get it to Tessa, but didn’t have the courage to do so. I mean Hardin’s paper was literally about Tessa and meant for Tessa, so he most likely wanted her to read it.
Another reason it's hard to relate and sympathize with her, like how am I supposed to side with a character who's blatantly in the wrong? I don't care how much she and the creep are "meant for each other", between the sexism (albeit more in the book than movie) and the cheating, Tessa is just an awful person
That's what I thought the whole time. In the Movie and I think in the Books too, Tessa is always the one who is this poor little thing because Hardin did something stupid when Tessa actually deserved it. She cheated on her boyfriend. But the story made it look like it was Tessa who got betrayed

“Hardin Scott got his first rejection”. I refuse to believe that’s the guy’s first rejection in his life. Ain’t nobody in the real world who just straight-up doesn’t get rejected a lot. I like how he is a guy watching a movie mostly targeted towards females and yet despite his gender, his opinion about the movie is pretty much what most people were thinking when they first watched the movie. Also I like how they use the tension to pretty much say the entire movie story line
Agree! I don’t like him. I think the story is quite good, but the author made it... bad. Like, it gave the story a total different direction. Is understandable to show a story of a toxic relationship that most people go through but the characters’ relationship is just annoying that instead of you wishing them to stay together, you wish for them to break up FOREVER (not break up and get back together like the hundred times they did in the books 🤦🏻♀️) The movie could be better if they add dialogue and made Hardin a little bit tough, not as the books tho.
It's a perfect display of a toxic and emotionally abusive relationship. I loved the books as a young girl, full of new hormones and going through puberty, dreaming of that one bad boy that only I could change into a domestic puppy. Now I actually want to burn them from my memory and thankfully, I threw away those bad boy dreams.

One of the more toxic lines: “I don’t think we can ever be just friends.” That’s why I think it’s most important to have a foundation of friendship in a relationship, no matter how you meet. If someone doesn’t want anything to do with you unless they’re dating you, that’s not a very strong foundation to build on

Agree! I don’t like him. I think the story is quite good, but the author made it... bad. Like, it gave the story a total different direction.
