I have a + friend who also suffers from Crohn's disease, I wonder if both conditions are related. In my case, I was diagnosed and started ART really soon, so I've never experienced serious symptoms and my gut health is fine.

With all due respect I don't think that we should change the language the or scientific language as it's been just because we don't understand the terminology I knew what they meant by sterilization sterilization when I hear it I think of literally sterilizing something clean I don't think of sterilization in the sense of fertilization

I think from Raif lens, he could be trying to share on how a scientific paper could be worded to convey more humanity and sensitivity.
Already living with hiv is a challenge hence why not be a kinder and more love in the title. Ie. a simpler, understandable, less mouthful title is always great. 🙂
Being succinct and non violent in communication is really an art. 🤘💪❤️🏳️‍🌈

    • @RaifDerrazi

A lot of people would agree with your perception. But science and scientific language is ever-evolving. And the science community has made a concerted effort to work with community to use language that best suits everyone’s needs, not just theirs.
They, and we, know that when science and community are on the same page and have this dialogue, the probability of having better health outcomes and more success in their research and the rollout of future treatments goes up substantially.
I will be interviewing one of the other co-chairs of the other Community Advisory Boards in the coming weeks and we’ll
Be going through the language document together.
While I agree, science shouldn’t bend over backwards to accommodate the community arbitrarily, we also can’t assume that because a scientist decided to use a term, that it is automatically correct or the best word to use.

Hey Raif ... we had a comment exchange recently re HPV infection / Anal Warts and HPVs potential to cause changes to the epithelial cells leading to neoplasias in both the perianal & rectal areas. You responded after a "cursory" search and stated the information was incorrect. Politely, it wasn't. In the article from the CDC you referenced - in the paragraph above - was information about HPV's role in anal / rectal cancer. Importantly, HPV infection can lead to both warts, with the potential/ possibility of leading to cancer. This is even more pronounced in HIV+ folk. Please look into this ... as your comment was accidentally misleading.
    Thanks mate.

What do you say.. God does not give birth. Correct your perspective on religion so that you will not be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection for what you say.. Jesus is only a prophet of God like all the other prophets.

      ...
If Jesus was ever what Christians make of Him, there would be little to no pragmantation in Christianity, because those who strayed would be punished by him for the blaspheme.
IRL, Chiristians have been butchering Christians more than Muslims or Pagan Romans *ever did.*
That was and is so consistent, that Atheists use it as a reason *For* their Atheism.
The More A Country blieves in Jesus, it gets more violent.
Unless that community is consistently small enough fragmantation is not viable, *that* is what happens. Violence...
Something that doesn't help, is the fact it is for most cases ethically lazy.
You say the magic words of your sect/fast/whatever, and *G-d washes away your sins.*
Which is fine if we were talking of a sin that is only agsinst G-d. I.E. you didn't actually hurt anyone, just disobayed.
But even if you murdered someone, say the magic words, and you go to heaven.
Some will even do that before the sin.
      Which is...
      So... Yeah. No.
