We tried many recipes to make the BEST GLITTER SENSORY BOTTLES! This is the one that LOOKED THE BEST and SWIRLED THE LONGEST!!! :) It was also a lot of fun to make! Watch and learn!
LOve this!! I want to make one for my daughter she would love this. the voss bottle is a good idea. last sensory bottle I made was with a normal water bottle but this is more visually appealing
I started at Holly Hobby because it is next to where I work. Then it was Michael's where I found bottles similar to the Voss but with black tops. Then I ended up at Dollar Tree to see what else I could find. I have soooo many things to make sensory bottles! I should be able to keep my grandchildren busy with sensory bottles for a couple of years.
It seems to help using tacky glue instead of glitter glue and using glycerin. Will have to try this version. It seems to look better than other versions.
Thank you for doing this! Exactly what I was looking for. Just curious what you did differently to get the mix for your golden ocean and his midnight blue as these stay mixed for longer as compared to the ones you made during your presentation. Thanks again!
Into the Spectrum Did you experiment to see if there was a visual difference of glitter fall speed & quality in bottles with glycerine in them vs bottles with the clear glue but no glycerine?
Tried to make one. Water, glitter...clumps. I’ll have to try your method. Update: added glue be a bit of glycerine. No more clumps (thank you for helping me solve that) but I do have bubbles I can't seem to get rid of. Any tips?
Into the Spectrum It did. Your method helped a lot. Also love the plastic Voss bottle idea. Heard you can put oorbees in them so going to try that next.
I know you probably don't remember because the video is old. Lol. But how many nickles did you out in the Voss light blue glitter bottle? The sound is PERFECT for me but I don't know how many nickles you have in that one to get that exact sound.?
Good question! Everything that we have read says to use clear tacky glue. But you could always try it and see how it comes out! Thanks for the comment!
What is the shelf life on something like this? Doesn't the glycerin prevent a water from creating mold over time? I am thinking of these are presents for 1yr olds.. so I don't want it to last a few months and then be ruined. These yall made are beautiful! (I also have anxiety and I'm thinking my friend and I may need one as well. ;) )
Thank you so much!! We made these glitter bottles a year ago and they still work great!! The consistency and color are the same as the original day we made them. 😀
I found this really cool glow in the dark Elmers glue i wanted to use in mine, but it's still clumpy after adding the warm water and mixing it (a lot.) Can anyone help?
I think it might help the glitter swirl more smoothly & easily, especially if you want to make the swirling vortex effect like in bottle no. 3. It might also help to prevent glitter flakes from sticking to the inner wall of the bottle or jar.
@Kailey Schlientz We use glycerin in our sensory bottles to help preserve the color and because it helps the glitter swirl around and fall down slowly! Thanks for the question!
We tried corn syrup on one of our bottles and it turned out nice! Also we have heard of using baby oil as well. We hope this helps! Thanks for commenting!

I like how the glitter is slow moving. I think its more calming. Thanks for the info. Very helpful.
I have the worst anxiety and can’t sleep at night. I’m so excited to try this so I can concentrate on something else than my thoughts. Thank you!!
You're welcome! I hope it helps you sleep!!
Aww I hope it gets better!
Olivia Militello I have bad anxiety at night to
Omg. I LOVE the nickel idea! I loved the paint can noise when I was a kid, so that is for sure my fav and I need to make one asap.
Yay!!! It does sound cool!! It adds a different element to the sensory bottle! 😀

Put your materials between you two. All that reaching over your work to get what he needs comes over unorganized. But in all cool outcomes.
@@PassionTates19 Thank you for the feedback!
Hi! I know this video is a few years old, but what is the shelf life for something like this? Did you have to remake them often?
@@ellegordon6895 We made these about 3 years ago and they are still doing good!
Into the Spectrum thanks for the reply!
I’m gonna try this with my 2.5 yr old. He recently got diagnosed with autism and I’m hoping these will help with his meltdowns
I'm 19, still helps me with mine!
Give it a try! Thanks for watching!!

Watercolor paint is a good idea 😍
Thank you for doing this! Exactly what I was looking for. Just curious what you did differently to get the mix for your golden ocean and his midnight blue as these stay mixed for longer as compared to the ones you made during your presentation. Thanks again!
We used less glitter and more coloring on the golden ocean and midnight blue sensory bottles! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful! I’m gonna have to try that for my daughters birthday crafts
Yay!! So fun!! I hope you guys had a good time! And happy birthday to your daughter!
Also Bob is my favorite name ever! #4
I really like he coin idea! Also I like hot glue to seal the bottles.
The coins add a cool element! And the hot glue is a great idea!! Thank you!

Number three number three number three!! I really really need to make one now, they're soo pretty!
Thank you so much!!! Let us know how it turns out!! 😀
I found #3 mesmerizing! So great. What is the glycerin for?
Thank you! The glycerin helps the glitter fall down slowly and twirl around nicely! :)
Into the Spectrum Did you experiment to see if there was a visual difference of glitter fall speed & quality in bottles with glycerine in them vs bottles with the clear glue but no glycerine?
Love these ! I'm on my way to the craft store now to make these for my dogs !! 😜
Marybeth Fox LOL!!! Awesome!!
What is tacky glue?never heard it in the uk
They're all beautiful.
Thank you!! 😀
My kids in my class are obsessed with the lava bottles right now!
That is awesome! They are great sensory toys!
Tried to make one. Water, glitter...clumps. I’ll have to try your method.
Update: added glue be a bit of glycerine. No more clumps (thank you for helping me solve that) but I do have bubbles I can't seem to get rid of. Any tips?
Oh no! That is disappointing! I hope ours works for you! 🤗
Into the Spectrum It did. Your method helped a lot. Also love the plastic Voss bottle idea. Heard you can put oorbees in them so going to try that next.
So glycerin, glue, and glitter is all you need?
Yes!! Especially if you already have a water bottle at home!
How do you make it swirl for so long? Thanks!
The glycerine makes it swirl better!! 😀
Me and my sons are going to make these tomorrow
That is awesome to hear! Let us know how it goes!
Easy way to distract a baby , toddler or preschoolers " nope , nope ,I'm using this for myself clown 🤡haaaaa
I have one for myself too! :)
You can also use orbies aka floral balls, little plastic shapes, beads, and so on.
Great ideas!! Thanks for the ideas!! 😀
Or diaper filling?
You two are so cute!!
Haha!! Thank you so much!! 🤗

Awesome!! Thanks for watching!! 😀
I just made my first sensory bottle… I wish I had watched your video first 😩! Very cute and very informative, thank you! 💗
Thank you so much! You could always make them again! 😀
Do you have any suggestions for alternatives to glycerin?
Some people are trying baby oil instead of the glycerin!
@@Intothespectrumvideos
I find the consistency of plain mineral oil, which is thicker than baby oil, a great substitute for glycerin.
@@beafalcon3522 Awesome! Thank you for the info!!
Love this! Definitely going to make these with my children xx
Yay! That is awesome to hear! Let us know how it goes!
can i use baby oil instead of glycerin?
Good question!! I think they would be very similar!! I think it could have the same effect!
Use corn syrup instead of glycerin. It's essentially the same thing.
I love that you put a noise-maker in one... I never thought to do that!!
Lacey Peters Glad you were able to learn a new tip :)
Lacey Peters i
Omg I made one of these for mindfulness camp when I was 12! But we didn’t have clear glue, so we used white glue instead 😅
I have all less the glue will work.?
Hello! I am not positive of your question, but You do need the glue for this recipe!
Would Fabric glue work too?
Good question! Everything that we have read says to use clear tacky glue. But you could always try it and see how it comes out! Thanks for the comment!
Into the Spectrum Clear Elmers Glue works well too (the same clear glue that ppl use to make crystal clear slime!).

I like baby oil the best with dif grains of glitter
Awesome!! Good to know!! :) Thanks for your comment!
I'm going to try both.
For how long do these usually swirl?
A few minutes! Usually takes a lot more time for all of the glitter to settle which is fun to watch!
This looks amazing, but the mess it would make if broken would be frightening.
Oh my gosh! It would make a big mess if it broke! 😯
Yes, the water bottles much better idea for children..especially if on spectrum
You can actually get a thick solid plastic “mason jar” and to me they look even cooler than the voss
4:20 what’s the glue needed for?
For which sensory this bottle helping
Hello, could you please list the exact measurements you used for the tall bottle not the mason jar
number 3.... so going to try this with my students
YAY!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!! They are so fun to make! :) Have fun with your students!!
I found this really cool glow in the dark Elmers glue i wanted to use in mine, but it's still clumpy after adding the warm water and mixing it (a lot.) Can anyone help?
I think it has to be tacky glue. But you may be able to find some glow in the dark paint! That would be awesome! Just put some in with the Tacky Glue!
Is it vegetable glycerin?
Hello! We did not use vegetable glycerin just regular glycerin!
You both are awesome. Very patient & kind, awesome ideas..new sub🤗💞😘🌻🐝🦋

My favorite! I want to make one. Make a slime video❤💜

Turtle Lover Thanks!! :)
what does Clear Gel Tacky Glue and Glycerin do?
Clear tacky glue makes it thick so the colors swirl better! And glycerin also make the swirls thick as well as preserves the color!
Perfect from shoes plastic and bottoms
I have finally found my soulmate and he’s called bob
Why you need glycerin?
It helps preserve the color of the dye, and helps the glitter swirl around and fall down slowly! Thanks for watching!
Great video, I’m going to make one with my daughter. You two are great, are you a couple or good friends? Thanks
That is so great! I hope you have fun making a glitter bottle together! And thank you!! :) We are a couple.

What is glisterine?
Karla Rubio it's a clear liquid - it's often used to thicken foods!
Corn syrup ;)

Why the glue? This is the first recipie I've seen that has glue.
The glue in our sensory bottle helps the glitter stay suspended in the water longer! Thanks for watching!
