This is incredible. I watched to the 10 minute mark at x.25 speed so that I could follow along with what was happening and I learned all kinds of stuff I didn't know before. Having the screencast thing on where it shows which buttons are being pressed would have helped a lot, but hopefully this guy will make a tutorial of sorts on this stuff.

If someone's told to completely restart the process, most CG artists would quit on the spot
These things only take you like 6 hours..? You're nuts, but such an inspiration... I'm using Max and Maya as part of my education, but spend way more than that on my work. Decided I'm gonna try learning Blender (might benefit me more as a freelancer anyway), think I'll use your videos as a bit of a fast-paced tutorial! xD Keep up the great work, man.
You do realize that you can be an one-man army in game development with your modeling skills? Honestly, I can't even make a sphere in blender and export it correctly, even though my job is game development. I envy your skills so much, you can literally make any game you wish if you take the time to learn how to do it and combine these skills with your modeling.
Making games it's not so easy as you may think, I probably could make all the graphic stuff, but learning unreal engine and programing is way too much for me
I know how difficult it is, just got my degree on Computer Science with Game Engineering, but if you love making games you can honestly do wonders with your art skills. Keep up the good work!
Finally someone who shows how to make a non basic/not stiff skeleton rig. I could never have control over hips and rib cage separate of backbone. As a result there was no bending of said backbone either for run cycles. Is there a chance you could post the slowed down process for the rig and controls? (i've basically given up because in the last 5 years i could not find a tutorial i needed.) Thanks
As always fking awesome dude! Just few questions: Do you have 2 monitors? (so on second one you have images of that animal so you see the details you need to do ) and Do you use mouse or tablet for sculpting ?
yeah i use graphic tablet during sculpting and no, unfortunetly i dont have two monitors, i an Looking at photos at This one, you cant see This because fraps is recording not my screen but program that i want
Wow, when you are making the texture (in this program) does it make level differences or just draws under a flat surface? Like if you would do with rocks, would it be little rocks, or would just paint the flat surface?
You can have both. If you only use it as a normal map, it won't create bumps, but if you use it as a displacement map, then it will change the underlying mesh.
It's going a bit too fast at 2:20 . What tools are you using in order to make all the rhino's surface smooth? I already made some low poly animals and this process might come really handy !
absolutly stunning! Only thing I can complain about is the shader. As far as I can see you used only diffuse. Maybe some glossy, subdivision surface and fresnel would do the job. At least if you were trying to do it realistic. It kinda ruins the hole thing in the final image :(
Now make a blender using Rhino!
God dammit, I wanted to say that...
asdfasfasdfasdfasdf : :D :D:
nvm
Lol
Why not make a blender using blender hmmmmm
Experts always make everything look simple.
Darn true
One of the most awesome blender users I know. Stunning work
thanks ;)
I agree! :)
Should give him battle armor! I fucking love this. Nice job man!

Great work BTW
i don't think they'd care since they're likely getting paid by the hour

Zed do u want to share some of ur assets to an 18 year old student learning to develop in unreal engine for free?
I though no one else was as good as the sculpting masters of the past, but its just that the tools have changed. amazing!
Can't able to skip without a comment. Amazing
Fantastic! I had never thought of modeling a character like this. Brilliant! thank you !

You are awesome! Hail you.
The mass effect bring tears to my eyes
omg this is truly talented
you should make a website where people can buy your finished models
There are already a lot of dedicated website for this kind of use
No, dont be a lazy ass and make it yourself
