Wow!! There is no machismo in me whatsoever but I admit I usually don't like see ladies conducting. But Miss Ahn caught me by the throat and didn't let go until I was asking for more. She managed to make these 10 minute of beautiful music astonishingly beautiful. The way she moves, her expressions, the way she shows her feeling for the music, the way she "shapes" the sound is uncommon. A new rising star I hope.
This piece is absolutely mesmerizing, it gets in your brain in a way that takes you to some other place, a beautiful rendition and I can't imagine the hard work behind the scenes. Absolutely brilliant.

What wonderful music Khatachurian wrote... excellent conducting by Yeo Ryeong Ahn and playing by the orchestra.... one can feel the power of the music.. thank you so much. I have gone and listened to other versions in the last 2 hours and yours stands out. Your way of conducting, very smooth while bending to the glorious music, very, very nice.
The Onedin Line TV series was a very long time ago. I was only a schoolboy then and I am now well into my 60's. Us schoolboys found it amusing that one of the characters on the TV series was called 'Master Bates'

I believe the series Onedin Line may of used this as their theme tune but this was originally composed by Aram Khachaturian in 1954 and 1st performed in 1956 in Leningrad.
I find it interesting, that many of the few listeners have their eyes open. If I have the chance to listen to musik, I keep my eyes closed to absorb everything into my mind - even when I like to dance to musik.
Beautiful, an amazing performance. I just can't understand the audience who look bored and unimpressed by this incredible rendition. There wasn't even a hint of appreciation or applause when the orchestra finished. Totally baffled by their lack of interest or reaction to the music.
I enjoyed this beautiful music in The Hudsucker Proxy, a film which was made by the Coen brothers in 2002 . . I think. The way that they worked it into the story was very amusing too.
I am humbled you answered. Your artistry is superb, and all of you created a fine-tuned ensemble. It is a melody which has haunted me since my teens...🪷

Wasn’t Aram Khachaturian Armenian? If so, when the piece was played by the Armenian State Orchestra, it had added meaning!
