Hey some folks noted that the AIO cooler might be better if you exhaust air out instead of pulling air in. I'll run some tests and report back. DON'T throw away the CPU socket cover (black plastic piece). You'll need it if you ever RMA or sell your board to prevent the pins from getting damaged in shipping.
In these type of cases always use fans as exhaust so cool air gets pulled in from the sides and the hot air gets pulled out. In this particular case first mount the aio then fit cables to psu point. Then the psu can fit easier and lastly put the gpu in, that way you don’t need to fiddle with cables in the end. 👌
Great Build. Getting my build ready for my deployment. Since I have a ATX build already, staying behind. But build A4 H2O that fits in my Pelican case with mouse, keyboard and 15’ Display (1080/165hz). I can take this thing anywhere I want.
Cool build and video / tutorial! Hope your knee gets better soon. They’re the worst. Shouldn’t your fans be set you exhaust (airflow going up) instead of intake since it’s a sandwich layout case?
So I thought about that, but one of the guys I watch said he put his as intake. I was thinking maybe bc the PC is so small, the hot air has to get pushed out, no?
@@Ahnestly it is definetly wrong. hot air have to be pushed out from the case. With you setup, gpu, CPU and also PSU push hot air inside case, but there is no out fan and it will be lack of fresh air inside the case. Also your PSU's fan takes air from outside, then exhausts air to CPU's radior fan. but these two fan hits together face to face. it is not good airfow. I recommend you to flip CPU's radiator fans. with this way there will be fresh air circulation from bottom to top direction. By the way your video is great. thank you for sharing.
Damnnn you do PCs too lol. I watched your chair reviews. I’m going to be ahnest (lol) shoving the most powerful CPU/GPU combo into a mini itx is kinda insane lol. An amazing PC though. I just built the great value version but not mini lol. I built a 12600k and 3060 just a week or two ago lol
Thanks for this clear consise build video - subscibed. Im planning a build in the same case becuase of this video. I have one question, I notice the backplate for the mobo has a cutout. Does that cutout allow for a 2nd NVMe drive to be fitted to the back of the mobo as alot of ITX mobos have the second slot on the back. Does it need to be a NVMe drive without a heatsink or will the samsung 990 pro fit on the back of the mobo as the heatsink is pretty slim Thx
Die CM ML 240 Illusion passt nicht, hatte das gleiche Problem ... bin zur CM ML 240 Atmos ... passt perfekt, ist leistungsfähiger und zudem leiser ... leider auch etwas teueer ✌🏻
750W might be just enough, but it is getting dangerously close to the limit knowing just with CPU + GPU combined use 83% of it. Knowing notorious power spike of rtx cards, I wouldn't be surprised if it flips when current protection kicks in. Also PSU will run hotter and less efficient because it exceeds efficiency sweet spot.
Haha so I'm getting occasional random resets when I'm going hard in Premiere Pro and Photoshop, so I might be running into some power issues. I think I can swap it out for an 850 sfx PSU and I'd be fine though! As for the fan noise, the GPU always does a great job at cooling - it's the CPU that's going to be starving for cooling, esp the 12900k!!
So on this case, the front panel isn’t “magnetic” enough to hold your headphones up (but the side panels are, unfortunately, theyre the only source of air for your case so don’t wanna block it too much!). I did it more for the thumbnail. It works fantastic on the nr200 though! It’s called the nzxt puck! geni.us/RwYu4I
actually this case is quite easy to put in , but with video recording it became kind of hard , good work bro , but i would recommend turn the PSU around and help exhaust the GPU , it would be a great help , at least in my phanteks evolv shift XT has improved the thermal.
Awesome build with such power! How loud would you say this PSU is? I have heard many say it is extremely quiet and some say it is very loud. I am interested to hear your opinion on the sound!
Great video, really usefull. However I have a question. How you able to use the CM ML 240 Illusion with a Pump heigh of 57.8 mm and Lian Li said the max heigh must be 55 mm.
The Lian Li PSU you're using---are the CPU and VGA slots interchangeable? The Strix 3090 requires 3 8 Pin cables, where my PSU has 2 for CPU, and 2 for VGA (GPU.
@@Ahnestly I'm looking over this PSU and I'm genuinely confused--It seems to have slots for 4 "either CPU 4+4 or 6+2 PCI E", but comes with 2 different types of PCI E connectors--how did you set it up?
@@yokaiyuki7869 I went with Evga FTW3 instead and I'm glad that I did. I actually need the extra space from the end of gpu to route my cpu connector because I route mine at the top of the case through the AIO compartment down the small space at the end of gpu.
if you can afford a 3090 you should be able to afford a larger desk haha 😂 looks like you’re bought the dual motor leg kit, you would only need to replace the desk table top with a larger one 😅
my desk is 30"x72" wide and pure walnut! any wider and you have to get up to grab anything on the desk lol and any bigger and i'll be paying what I paid for the entire PC build!!

Agree, might get toasty in there with the fans as intake into a “cramped” SFF.

I can't believe you are trying a 12900k and a 3090 on a miniITX... Insane. Is the 750w even has enough power for those parts?
I do think I may need to upgrade my psu to 850w. I get occasional reboots out of nowhere so tryna inspect what’s causing that!
Genuinely big thanks
I've been watching some vids from dammit jeff and his voice reminds me of a genz version of you. so crisp and clean baby

Great pointers. A lot of the build you see no one ever mentions the last 5 yards where you have to install drivers etc to actually get the PC running

I don't think the PSU has an exhaust vent out, more like vents on the sides! And yeah, building on camera is a PIA!
were there any issues when you reversed the eps cable?
what z690 low profile cpu cooler do you recommend for a 47mm height limit on a i7 (65w) most likely for a velka-7

248 watts on the 12900k? jesus.. my 5900x typically only draws 125watts. The intel CPUs might not be the best contender for SFF builds.
