    Nice case love it but one tip for all who build in it. It is better to screw the radiatortray onto the radiator outside the case makes it a lot easier, yes you can leave a little play and fasten all screws once the tray is in. 👍

    So I just built mine. A few things I did to help myself. I am using an Asus X570i motherboard which doesn't have a USB-C, so I actually removed that cable from the front. I also removed the audio cable because I only use Bluetooth headphones/speaker. That helped to remove some cables. I noticed a very, very annoying humming and I spent hours trying to track it down. It was the Chipset fan going super-fast. (I came from a NR200 with a NH-D15 and multiple case fans so the chipset was much cooler than it is now) I have a slim noctua fan cable tied to the exterior of the case to bring some cool air which has dropped the chipset to 60 degrees. I have (2) Noctua 40mm fans and a thermal pad in the mail to try to keep the thermals reasonable and remove this ugly fan off the side of the case! I also am getting a heat spreader for the back M.2 which is behind the riser cable and TUF 3080. I hope to keep that a bit cooler than it is now. I want to get custom cables and am waiting on Pslate to have them custom sized. If someone has another recommendation, I would appreciate any feedback to what I have been doing to mod this beautiful case.

    • @MachinesMore
      @MachinesMore  2 года назад

      Ah yeah the X570 I Strix PCH fan can be annoying. Is yours just spinning under load? The reason I ask is since theoretically with exhaust fans up top under higher load the fans should be doing enough to draw some cool air into the path of the motherboard, that way you can just use slightly higher CPU fan speeds to help out the board cooling.

    • @81llzvn
      @81llzvn 2 года назад

      @@MachinesMore It seems so. Once I am working or gaming, the fan turns on and stays on. The hum is super annoying. I felt the heatsink over the chipset and noticed it was super hot so I got compressed air and blew on it and noticed the fan ramping down. Once I grabbed the slim Noctua fan and placed it, the chipset temps dropped immediately. For the AIO, I am using an EK 240 with (2) Noctua NF-A 12x25. My curve is around 50% with the fans until about 65 degrees then I have it ramping up.

    Hello!
    I'm new to building PCs and I'm currently building a similar setup using this case, a PL240 and a Corsair SF750. I notice you mention to pass the PSU plug in between the two tubes and the manual for the case indicates to do it in a similar fashion. However, when I try to do so, I find that the tube to the front on the plug (closer to the fan side of the PSU) gets bends into a tight pinch (which might prevent fluid to pass thru). Would you mind sharing more pictures as to how you accomplished this part? Thank you! Love your videos.

  • @Drone443

    I had trouble installing my graphics card into that riser cable. I saw in this video you messed around with it too, at first it seems like it's slanted then you proceed to push on the right side of the card to correct that, I had the same issue. But just getting the card to slot into the riser was a challenge, I loosened the two screws and I was able to get it in but I worry that tightening the screws again will put strain on the PCB. Also, it's very easy to get wires into the two fans on top, or the aoi tubes for that matter. Optimum Tech showed a graphic informing where to route the tubes based on your aoi and how long they come from the factory, that being either above or below the PSU. Coincidentally I followed the same order as you, installing the PSU at the end was difficult. I essentially just had to shove it in, making sure the front io and SATA cables were bent correctly to fit the PSU bracket. But this is all par for the course when working with an 11L case, definitely was more of a challenge than my old Cougar QBX.

    Can you build this case without liquid cooling? e.g. noctua cooler instead?

    • @adimw
      @adimw Год назад +1

      Started with stock intel cooler, too noisy. Intel 10700.
      Switched to Noctua NH-L9i, with NVMe double stacked below the cooler. It cooks the NVMe (critical warnings in SMART). Also if you run a game or CineBench the CPU hits 100c and throttles to 3.8GH/z almost immediately. I do not recommend, the cooler spits out hot air top and bottom and the bottom is completely blocked by the NVMe heat spreader.
      I've been running it that way for about a year as I was traveling with it.
      A couple of days ago I installed a NZXT Kraken 240 and my temps are 32c idling and about 75-80 through CineBench. So I'd consider water-cooling a requirement of this build with a half powerful CPU.

    Hi there! I saw both your videos for the DAN A4-H20 and the BeQuiet! Pure Loop 240. I was already set in buying both but I saw a lot of reddit users confirming that they won't go together IF you're using a triple fan gpu. I'd like to know if you've encountered the same issue having both the case and the AIO present for you.
    Would be a lot of help as I'd really like to use either the pure loop or the silent loop 2 as it fits my use case of having a silent and performant AIO and I could drain it so I don't get blocked by airport security when flying it in my carry-on luggage due to constraints in bringing anything with fluid. I know it's not above 100ml but it pays to be careful. Hope to get your reply soon!
