The Style Shift of the MCU | A scene comparison

- In this video I show just how the MCU changed stylistically after Disney got involved by showcasing snippets of different scenes from each era side by side. This serves as an extension to my MCU essay video in where you can see just how the films went from looking and feeling like a more grounded universe to having a more whimsical, cartoonish feel in a way that makes it feel like you're watching two different movie franchises. How it's just less captivating for me as someone who was a fan of the previous direction.
P.S. I meant to put the Universal and Sony logos next to the Paramount and Disney logos respectively, but I wasn't thinking. Either way, it's not a big deal and not the focal point of the video so just ignore it.

Sorry if the intro is long, but I had to get the point across. Timestamps for each section are in the description. The video originally had chapters, but when I went to edit it to add a new one, it removed them entirely and now I can't add them back so it's stuck the way it is ;-;. I also apologize if the screens for the clips feel too small. I'd suggest this is better to watch on a computer or laptop.
This was an idea I had a while back, only the video was much longer and wasn't a side by side comparison, and more of a subtitled commentary split up into parts. It had gotten blocked by YT so I scrapped it a while ago. But after recently watching another comparison video of a similar format, I decided to remake it into a shorter version with a little more flare. In this way you can see just how much cornier the movies have gotten in terms of visuals, design, music, CGI, etc.
MCU Then : Very Cool, Artistic, Feels like a Actual Movie and Very respecting of the Source Material
MCU Now : Cringe, Wacky, Dumber, Cash grab, Feels like a parody than an Actual Movie and Disrespectful of the Source Material
Nah MCU now feels like a homework that needed to pass before the exam than a movie for anyone to enjoy.
Especially since the Disney+ stuff
Marvel with Paramount: Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel with Disney: Marvel Sitcom Universe.
Hey Anomaly my friends Just Some Nerdy Guy and that Deadpool guy told me to subscribe to you. New sub
👍
Among all the 3, which Raimi theme is the most beautiful ? My pick is Spider-Man 2
Hey Anomaly I have a question for you. Okay so around 4 days ago I made a comment on your tier list video and you replied to it and then I replied to your reply but then you didn't replied to mine so I asked you why aren't you replying but you still didn't replied then I again asked, then you replied that you don't know what to say, so can you please clarify did you received my comments and just didn't replied because you didn't know what to say
Those CG aninals could have looked realistic
This Reddit user, RygarLP put it well:
"Disney acquiring Marvel at that time changed the landscape of comic book films. Marvel Studios would never able to reach the same heights they had with The Infinity Saga without Disney’s involvement. However, the downside of that Disney pretty much dictate what to do and not to do with Marvel IPs. You can tell some MCU films have been disneyfied in contrast to the Paramount-era MCU films. The quality changed, the approach was changed, some went well, some did not.”
Yep, pretty much. I’ve had people point out to me that if Disney never acquired Marvel that it wouldn’t be as big as it is today whenever I talk about how much I miss the older movies. But honestly I would rather take a few films over what we have now if it means they’d be like before. I don’t need a genre changing franchise, I just want some quality movies.
@@anomaly395 Did you read the whole comment, especially the part where they say Disney dictated certain things or how MCU movies are different today.
@SuperFreddy64-mp5ew Uh, yes? That's what I was referring to.
Nostalgia Critic put it best in one of his Spider-Man videos.
Hyper Fangirl: But if it’s based on a comic book, wouldn’t you want it to be more like a comic?
Nostalgia Critic: But if you’re turning it into a movie, wouldn’t you want it to be more like a movie?
I guess they don't really need that much music
It’s more like the music is just really corny (like everything else).
@@anomaly395 Corny or Cartoony ? Because I'm thinking more cartoony than corny.
@@John_F_Kennedy188 Corny, cartoony, cheesy, etc. It all means the same thing lol.
@@anomaly395 Well I guess I could with the suits I mean Superman's suit in man of Steel is comic accurate and yet it looks like a Phase 1 design of the suit. Spider-Man's suit make sense especially for Tobey and Andrew but his jokes well...... I love his jokes but it's too Disneyfied.
@@John_F_Kennedy188I think Andrew's jokes are okay, Tom's jokes are worse.
