That is not a knee lock, its a belly down straight ankle lock, and not a very effective one. But there are some seriously dangerous knee locks like knee bars, but even worse are heel hooks, especially inside heel hooks.

As a wrestler I can tell that big boy has definitely wrestled in his younger days. Hes way to heavy bodied to do it now but it definitely is apparent in his movement and transitions that he has the muscle memories of wrestling.
He stated himself that he used to wrestle in high school. My guess is that if you can withstand the first minute or so, you can eventually start running laps around him. Chances are he’d slam you on your neck before that though.
Well I’m sure he’s been rolling around his whole life with either his father or his bros or cousins. I never took any sort of training but I would wrestle with my buddies almost religiously and you just pick things up naturally. Teaching and learning things is great but best practice is to just do it.
Not gonna lie, wasn’t really into watching your vids a few months ago cause I’m not really into weight lifting but in all honesty you won me over with your diverse content from skating with Ryan to Jujitsu with Nate and still throw in weight training and it’s all coming together perfect! This video proves that having size and strength can still help you even against a trained fighter. Obviously would be different if diaz could hit him. But the size and strength did help him control diaz for awhile.
@Ole Carlos bro a wrestler or a Mixed Martial Artist would take them down easily. Esp if those boxers have no previous training in mma. They would be taken down either choked, ground and pounded out, or submitted which ever one the MMA fighter chose. Lol

When you grab someone, they do not experience any injury nor pain, anger starts building up and they have time to think. Sometimes the end result is that the victim will get choked out and sometimes the victim will bend fingers, fish hook, grab genitals etc. and get away because the offender needs both of his arms to do the grappling and can no longer protect his vital spots unlike a boxer on his feet who can do damage in an instant and protect his vital spots with movement and one free arm.
Honestly Diaz was clearly going very easy and letting Big Boy work and practice, which is the right thing to do by the way. If he approached more explosively he probably could have snatched a low single leg, easily take him down and embarass him but it would have been a dick move to do so to a new guy who is there to learn, especially on a video filmed for his youtube channel.

As a wrestler I can tell that big boy has definitely wrestled in his younger days. Hes way to heavy bodied to do it now but it definitely is apparent in his movement and transitions that he has the muscle memories of wrestling.

He stated himself that he used to wrestle in high school. My guess is that if you can withstand the first minute or so, you can eventually start running laps around him. Chances are he’d slam you on your neck before that though.
Well I’m sure he’s been rolling around his whole life with either his father or his bros or cousins. I never took any sort of training but I would wrestle with my buddies almost religiously and you just pick things up naturally. Teaching and learning things is great but best practice is to just do it.

Bro, I did BJJ and at the 6 month mark i was doing 2 hour sessions everyday. Yes Nate is a beast but Big boy has no cardio for this. Actually no diss on him. This is a different type of tiredness all together.

I can’t imagine rolling around with the great Nate Diaz… I was a competitive wrestler in hs and jh.. that would be literally be a dream come true to roll around with Nate or Nick… even at 50 yrs old with a banged up body… it’s amazing how people get opinions of someone from a walk out to a fight or a post fight interview. This video proves that having size and strength can still help you even against a trained fighter. Obviously would be different if diaz could hit him. But the size and strength did help him control diaz for awhile.

@Ole Carlos bro a wrestler or a Mixed Martial Artist would take them down easily. Esp if those boxers have no previous training in mma. They would be taken down either choked, ground and pounded out, or submitted which ever one the MMA fighter chose. Lol
@@oasisuhamaka3669 That's mostly because of the rules. Grappling works very slowly and wastes the element of surprise. When you grab someone, they do not experience any injury nor pain, anger starts building up and they have time to think. Sometimes the end result is that the victim will get choked out and sometimes the victim will bend fingers, fish hook, grab genitals etc. and get away because the offender needs both of his arms to do the grappling and can no longer protect his vital spots unlike a boxer on his feet who can do damage in an instant and protect his vital spots with movement and one free arm.
Honestly Diaz was clearly going very easy and letting Big Boy work and practice, which is the right thing to do by the way.
If he approached more explosively he probably could have snatched a low single leg, easily take him down and embarass him but it would have been a dick move to do so to a new guy who is there to learn, especially on a video filmed for his youtube channel.
Nate has the magic potion that very few people have . Very confident while also being very humble, the perfect mix is magic.
