No one plays this piece like Khatia. Her touch is delicate and sensuous, drawing emotions that almost bring you to tears.

Yesss, you are taking the words out of my mouth!!! And she is one of the few pianists to work the beautiful melodies out, which are hidden in the mid section! Most medium Pianists miss them or rush them over. Listen carefully to her version and compare with others!

This gorgeous woman makes love to the piano and when her and her sister play together even more love is made on stage to musical instruments. What a joy to listen too and see such lovely events.

She walks in beauty like the night,
Of cloudless climes and starry skies,
And all that's best of dark and bright,
Meet in her aspect and her eyes.......

In 2014 Khatia played this piece with a much more beautiful tone and speed. Even if it still very much beautiful, her past playing this piece was better. Love that pianist

She was my inspiration while learning this…….Who am I to EVER critique my idol….Khatia….but I felt like she rushed the middle section somewhat……Of course the intro is so slow and dreamy… as well as the end……..She still made me cry…..nonetheless….But as
you learn a piece you become more specific and critical to others interpretations of pieces/mostly certain passages and movements in particular……She’s the boss….don’t get me wrong…..

Every interpretation has its own meaning. I don’t mind this. But like you said, I do prefer her slower version that was posted back in 2014.

Can’t say I like her interpretation, but it’s hers, she owns it.
That said, she’s one of the most exquisite pianists I’ve ever heard.
Her lovely appearance doesn’t hurt, either.
