    Thanks for filming clips during your shifts!! I know it must be hard with all the patient information around but I really appreciate all the realism!! I’m about to start my dream job in mother/baby after being a nurse for nearly 4 years and have been binge watching youtube vids lol most ppl only film inside their cars before & after the shift so I gotta use my imagination 😂 love your positivity too!

      @@TammiexoI was working at a dermatology clinic for over a year! before that I dont have much experience, I was out of a job for a long time after I left my first hospital (started in L&D as a new grad, big mistake, I couldn’t handle it 😢)

      @@Tammiexoand you’re so right I looooove this specialty lol I’m actually going to night shift in September and I’m excited for it, some days can be hard when you end up having 4 to 5 couplets total cuz of discharges and admissions 😭 can’t wait to not deal w that anymore

    I always wanted to be a family care RN all through nursing school but I couldn’t find a position. I ended up getting a night shift training position in the NICU. That was 43 years ago and the feeling of burning eyes from working all night is still with me. Now getting ready to retire and in the day shift. God Bkess you!!

    Hey sis, I love your channel! What specialities do you recommend for new grad RNs? I take my exit exam in less than 2 weeks for my LVN to RN bridge program, and I still haven’t settled on a speciality. Do you have any tips for new grads? How to choose what fits me? Mother baby seems awesome, how long was training? How did you decide you loved it?

    What’s the difference in care between a normal vag and a c section?

    • @Tammiexo
      @Tammiexo  Год назад +4

      Normal vag monitor bleeding and minor pain, patient is more active. C section is in severe pain, patient under went surgery to remove the baby so it takes time for the body to heal.

      At our hospital the C sections stay a minimum of 3 days and our vag deliveries stay 1-2 days

    What are your new admissions like? Are they considered transfers with everything ordered or do you still have to call docs for orders and verify meds?

    • @Tammiexo
      @Tammiexo  Год назад +2

      Transfers with everything ordered and sometimes you have to call the docs. It really depends on the night.
