Tenterden is a town in the Ashford District of Kent, England, on the edge of the forest Weald, overlooking the River Rother. In the past the town was a member of the Cinque Ports Confederation, however, the river today is not navigable to large vessels.

Yeah, there is a bus that could bring you to near towns, villages and the Headcorn railway station.

Also you can take a steam train from Tenterden station to Bodiam Castle and back. I have a video on my channel
