I am 31 got pregnant with 3rd cycle of letrozole. Don't loose hope, believe in god .
Letrozole caused me side effect urine fregency body irritation, and pelvic pain , urine culture nothing infection diagnoised its clear after 3 months i stopped now resolved slowly...plz let me know any one crossed side effects, since again going to start that medication

My doc suggested Clomid the first round. I ovulated late (cycle day 18). Next cycle, she suggested Letrozole 2.5mg, I ovulated exactly on cycle day 14. I didn't conceive however that cycle. I took Letrozole 2.5mg again next cycle, ovulated exactly on day 14. Yesterday and today (Cycle day 27 and 28) I took pregnancy tests. Both came out as positive

I’m clomid resistant 😥 went to take 250 mg MAX DOSE AND didn’t ovulate . I’m thinking Letrozole will do for me
I got pregnant the first month of using letrozole (but sadly miscarried at 12 weeks) but it was also 1 month after getting an HSG procedure which cleaned out my Fallopian tubes with ink which were previously clogged with scar tissue. So I think the HSG and the letrozole helped me get pregnant. We will be trying the letrozole again soon
My Dr said it's the best ... but this guy says it's least capable of working

I used letrozole 6month..it' is no work....clomid 1month use ....i am pragnant now.
Great video Doc. I don't know know the chemical difference, but I think it just depends on the person. I had 0 response to clomid but a great response to Femara. For other people, clomid works better.
1 thing my doctor did tell me though was that clomid can have a negative impact on your uterine lining. Femara does not have this effect. Additionally, if you take a low dose of Femara and don't have any response to it, you can take another round of a higher dose on the same cycle without waiting for or a period first. You can't do that with clomid.
1) There is no data to support the notion that there are person to person differences between Clomid and Letrozole
2) Studies have found no significant difference in the uterine lining thickness between clomid and Letrozole
3) Completely wrong! The dose of clomid can also be increased from a low of 25 mg a day for 5 days to 50 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg and 250 mg. It can also be extended from 5 days to 7 days or even 10 days.

I m on my first round of femara. My dr said that it s better than clomid. I m so disappointed , my hormones are ok and noone seems to bother for my 3 year infertility. I also had two miscarriages through this time and i am 36 years old. I already have a six year old child.

I’ve pcos n hypothyroidism and had no problem falling pregnant on both meds on first cycles but both of them led to miscarriages! Though Letrozole led to twins bt miscarried in 16 weeks and clomid in 8weeks! 😞 Hope to have healthy babies soon

My Obgyn prescribed letrozole 5mg from day 13to day 15.Follicular study was done on day 13 and she told that my follicles are 10×12.6on both ovaries(no report was given)I was having egg white stretchable discharge and some other symptoms of ovulation. But upon taking letrozole from that day onwards I have dryness down there. Today Im on day 19.No positive signs are seen. I have done a small research and enquiries on administration of letrozole on mid cycle. Everything says it is 'usually' given on 2-6th day or 3-7th day.

Interesting because this is the first person I’ve heard of saying letrozole is the least effective? I’ve tried clomid with 0 pos results, now we are trying letrozole. I’ve heard nothing but good things and higher positive tests than with clomid.
People can say whatever they want but I like to base my recommendations on actual scientific data.
I am not aware of any data which shows that for couples with unexplained infertility that Letrozole gives a higher chance for pregnancy than Clomid.
That is not to say that the chances with letrozole are zero. With unexplained, chances would be higher by staying on Clomid

@@InfertilityTV I don’t have PCOS, I have unexplained problems, I don’t get a menstrual cycle therefore I don’t ovulate. I take medication to induce both and clomid did nothing for me, so we are now onto letrozole with hopes of it working.

Hii Dr, I took letrozole 2.5 mg from 3rd of my period upto 5 th day.. Den I took 11 th follicular study.. Right ovary 16 mm ee thickness 5mm and 13 th day it got 21 mm n ee thickness 7 mm..same day took hcg injection. Wen my egg get rupture and m not having symptoms of ovulation...
36 to 38 hr after HGC shot.... Generally ovulation occurs...
It must be painfull for you. I took clomid and letrozol last cycle. I ovulated but did not properly.

Hi, I have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Before being diagnosed, I had 2 miscarriages within a year but they never went over a month. After that I have been trying to conceive for 2 years and never got pregnant! That is when we decided to seek help and it's been almost 7 months ( 3 iui with clomid, 1 iui with gonal-f) no signs of pregnancy. we are trying 1 more round of gonal-f before considering IVF or getting a second opinion. I just wished to know what's wrong with me, what can I do to increase my chances of getting pregnant before going for IVF. Any recommendations on what to do? Just want to know if my doctor is doing everything possible before IVF.

In order to determine the correct dose, the patient must be monitored for ovulation. There isn't one dose that works for everybody

Oral fertility medications can be used for mild stimulations followed by embryo freezing for later transfer

I’m currently on Letrozole and my cervical mucus has greatly reduced, I was told it has no effect on the cervical mucus, why did mine reduce?
Letrozole is a medication which reduces estrogen. Estrogen is what drives the production of cervical mucus. It would not be uncommon for cervical mucus to decrease on letrozole

i had five failed cycles of letrozole with last cycles in july...Will instant switching to Clomid (as per doctor suggestion) in very next month(august) be bad ? or shou8ld wait for sometime to switch to clomid?
It is unclear whether there is any benefit from switching to Clomid after failing multiple letrozole cycles (or the other way around). I don't think those studies have been done

My doctor give me Femara 2,5 mg but my endometrium is very thin (3,9 mm day 13 and my cycle is 30 days) and i had just 2 follicles : 17 mm et 11 mm. i am very disappointed. I think femera is not helping me and is making my endometrium thin.The doctor think to give me tamoxifen but i don’t want to take this because there are lot of secondary effects.
Ask your doctor about using injections of Follistim.

How would you know when to start letrozole if there hasn’t been a period for months (PCOS is present) for sure not pregnant.
For me they induced my period with medication
