I use three different calls, one is tuned the way the first call you used sounds. Then I have a really loud open water. And one that is tuned to buzz in the correct depth. Reason being is if you really listen to ducks when you're close to them the calling noises that your call makes aren't exactly what a duck is doing. They kinda buzz not really quack. So I use the call that buzzes for in close work.
