No Sympathy For the Devil. It seems like Kody has gone out of his way to prove how mean he can be to his original family (OG3 & kids). He has systematically destroyed his relationships with these people and there could be a very simple reason as to why. He wants to have a deeper commitment with Roybn and she constantly rejects him and pushes him on to other women. As I said in my video, I am not trying to excuse his bad behavior. I'm just trying to explore why he seems so determined to make a mess of his life.

Assuming Robyn's other "suitors" really existed, after watching 18 seasons of her shenanigans, they're all breathing a huge sigh of relief that they didn't get involved with her.
Not to disrespect Robyn, but I don't think that she had a bunch of men that lined up wanting to support her and all her kids and pay off all her debt. And a man that would pay for all her shopping habits, pay for a nanny so she can sleep until the afternoon. Most people want a reciprocal relationship with an adult, not a woman child. How did she even have time to date with 3 kids. Robyn thinks a lot of herself.

@@atlramona true, and more than just the debt the fact that she used 3 different names to run up debt! During one of the episodes it showed that they had problem getting mortgages due to her debt using 3 different names.
Never believed that all of these men wanted robyn either. She went after kody because he had a reality show. She wanted the og3 around for their resources and thought they would all stay because mary was staying. Christine ruined everything for robyn and robyn is completely jealous and in competition with Christine.
I wouldn't put it past her to embellish the amount of men after her. Using it to make Kody feel like if he didn't snatch her up immediately, she could easily move on. It worked too. Idk how many times I've heard Kody bring up how many men were after her before they got together

I'm sure TLC would've approached the Dargers and they did approach the Williams family but let's be honest if you exclude the Jennings family TLC is into exxtremely dysfunctional family and they tried the Williams family but I honestly believe Brady,Rosemary,Ronda,Noni,Paulie and they have a Robyn too,was too boring. There was almost no drama and you could plainly see that Brady loved his wives. Look at Seeking Sister Wife. Brought on the Alleredge family? If you exclue the seperation between the wife Jeffrey got after the last show appearance the only interesting thing was the crazy chick who tricked them into thinking she f'n died! The Winder's? Colton has taken shots at Kody. Where did they wind up? Off the show! TLC wants dysfunction. They thrive on it. How do you explain them having like three pedo creeps and a man,like Dimitri Snowden,on their network? The Willis Clan? Tobey Willis was s.a.'ing his daughters for years! The only reason that it came to light was because his daughter,Jessica,had met her husband and was hiding a phone because Tobey didn't want her talking to him. When he confronted her he literally busted her in the jaw and what was TLC concerned about? News that their new show had a man who violated his own daughters? Nope! Concerne about whether or not Jessica could film after her dad damn near broke her jaw! The Duggars? There is no farking way the network did not know that Josh had touched his sisters,a babysitter and Jim Bob was withholding money from his kids! These allegations crop back up and the Ashley Madison leak happens and does TLC say,"Wow! We're sorry. We're canceling the show." They claimed they did but in truth they just focused on the older kids long enough in the hopes that everyone would forget and they could go back to what they had. I swear did Jim Bob have a picture of a network exec sucking another network execs jagon or something? (South Park reference.) I mean other then the CSAM material and Josh's conviction I was seriously beginning to wonder if TLC was just playing deaf,dumb and blind for f'n effect! I'm not saying Kody is doing anything like that but this show has been on the air and continuing because of all this conflict. The one thing the Browns can thank Robyn's Diseal jeans modeling arse for is the fact that at the end of the day the drama of bringing her into this cyclone kept this going a lot longer then if it had just been three wives and a guy who looked like the Geico caveman's dad.
Maybe they even did but I doubt too but for sure none if them had a better offer then a reality TV fame and money. There's a reason why she's so angry at Christine she's risking her lose the show, that the grieving she's going through.

Christine joked in the early seasons that "Kody deserves a trophy wife" and at the time I think she meant it in a lighthearted way. But even then, was Christine labelling Robyn as a trophy wife or did Kody lord Robyn over the others as a trophy?

IF Robyn truely believes in plural marriage she should have tried harder to build bonds with the other wives and encouraged Kody to treat everyone equally so that way her little porch dream didn't turn into her staring down fro the gallows as her dream go hung.
If Robyn believed in polygamy. she and her kids would have moved into the Lehi house with the other wives and kids. I have always felt that neither Kody nor Robyn wanted Robyn's family to merge with the Brown's. Kody loved to keep her separate so that he could escape the big house.

Kody is getting a dose of the karma that he said Christine had coming, and I'm SO happy about that. He deserves every bit of that times three.

I do think she want to polygamy but she wanted it the way she had I wish she was in charge of absolutely everything in monopolized his time and monopolized the money. Robyn wanted plural marriage the way I want to be on a diet. I'll pay lip service to losing that pesky 40 lbs but in fairness I'm not going to go overboard. Robyn is what happens when a woman wants into a family and smells oppurtunity but in truth Robyn wants to be the center of attention,the center of this family and she wants all of them to bow to her and tell her what a wonderful,presceptive and amazing human she is. She's not but she wants others to tell her because I honestly think Robyn hates herself.
I think Kody will start to resent Robyn and shift the blame to her. He loved being the centre of a massive family and everyone needing him, even though it wasn’t sustainable and he had a favourite now he may start to feel trapped.
Kody was only good until the kids started having minds of their own. When they were young and listened. But somewhere along the way I think he said he didn’t want anymore kids because he was ready to start enjoying life with Robyn. Jealous of the OG3 with empty nests. I’m not forgetting Truly but all of these children are so much more mature than Robyn’s brood
Robyn cannot take the place of the OG3 no matter how hard Kody tries to shove her into their molds. Christine has fun parties. Robyn's parties look unhappy. Kody looks unhappy at Robyn's gatherings. Janelle can talk to him about a wide variety of topics. Robyn does not have the curiosity to talk about different topics. Their recent Cameo appearance was telling. Kody looked so self-satisfied that he and Robyn had just filmed 'a special, sweet scene' for the audience. It was not for themselves, it was for the audience. Robyn looked like she had just crossed 'take out the trash' from her very long list of things to do. Both Meri and Christine would have been up for his silliness. .'Fake sweet' is still fake. "Fake happy' is still fake. At the picnic table with Meri. Kody is talking to Robyn as if she is a child who needs to understand that Mommy and Daddy are getting a divorce. Kody is not going to put up with her immaturity for ever. He sees the gaps but it too embarrassed to acknowledge them yet.
I'm glad you brought up that Cameo - that was really weird - that was like if you have neighbours moving in and coming door to door to meet you and say, "we're totally not the FBI. Please ignore our van parked outside our home. We're a normal unit" lol

She got Meri out and got the legal marriage,she tried to be thw worker wife with my Sister Wives gas chamber,failed there,and then she tried being the love wife and that ultimately chased Christine out. Robyn blinded Kody with p*ssy,trapped him with arriage,field gutted him by giving him more spawn and now he's trapped in a Hell of his own creation. A Hell in which he has to convince himself that Robyn is perfect,she was a successful model,Despite getting knocked up at 20 and having a son and two more kids after that,a Hell by in with she got knocked up by a guy who had a crush on her sister,married him,made two more kids with him,and it's also a Hell where he basically had Robyn slut shaming herself in front of her husband's children! It's a hell where you lose everything you thought you loved in order to bring a lying harpie and defend her so she can make you look like a total doucecanoe!
Not to mention, Robyn's parties don't even have enough food.
The realization is setting in for Kody that Robin won't have the dedication through thick and thin like the others. She won't allow him to make her his whipping post like he did with the others because they loved him and believed in their values and vows. He has that need to control - the OG 3 are gone, the kids are gone, he doesn't have a real job and employees to dictate to. As soon as Robin and her kids don't allow his control anymore he's going to break.

But James, where is she going to go? She has no ability to adult on her own. It isn’t just that she doesn’t work. She can’t even pay her own bills. She could only get child support for two kids IF she got primary physical custody. She doesn’t have all the suitors anymore … What would the Robin DO?
You're right. I also think that Robyn was opportunistic. I do not buy for a minute that she had suitors breaking down her door. For starters, Robyn came into her situation as a divorced,single mother with debt coming out every orafice on her body! I don't see men,like Joe Darger,or Brady Williams,looking at Robyn and seeing a goldmine. They would see her as an encumberrment. They would see her as a problem they didn't need to have. How long were the Browns going to be able to keep the show going if there were no complications? One season? Two at the most? People were expecting a trainwreck and that's what we got! Kody knew he needed something to create conflict. Robyn was a live granade that got thrown into this family and while jealousy may have exsisted it was nothing compared to the hornet's nest that got kicked when Robyn joined the family. There was no way that Joe Darger's wives,Vicki,Alina and Valerie weren't going to see straight through Robyn's b.s.. There was no way that Brady Williams wives were going to tolerate Robyn's behavior. Simply put Kody and Meri kept Christine and Janelle out of this til Kody had fallen so much for Robyn that they were either going to bring her in or he was going to leave them for her! What other option did they really have? Christine was pregnant,Janelle had six kids,and Meri was truely believed that she needed to bring in a new bestie for herself. She didn't need to bring in someone to bang her husband senseless but by the time she realized that it was well past too late for her to change her mind! (Meri was screwed the minute she agreed to it.) Kody and Robyn's relationships reminds me of hte Marren Morris/Ryan Hurd song Chasing After you. The line,But I know, yeah I know it's a matter of time.Til you walk, 'til you walk back out of my lifeLeave me standing here lonely, feeling like a fool, mm, mm. Every time, every time you say we're done. You come back to the love you were running from" That's how this marriage has gone for 13 years! Kody is constantly chasing after Robyn and she never seems quite fully committed to him despite the level of devotion he's shown her. He blew up his marriages,he trashes his children regularly and all because of Robyn. A woman he's chased after for 13 years and could be presumably chasing for the next 30 years.
And Joe Darger has a business background so he would view someone in Robyn's situation as a financial liability - plus I truly do not think Robyn has the same conscientiousness as the adult moms of that family.

Robyn treated Kody the way he treated the other wives from the start. She came in making demands & requirements of him that put her needs first. He is the one who is always trying to please her, earning her love. She is just smoother, more charming about it than he is & he is not bright enough to realize he is not the person in the position of power in the relationship. I don't think he found the genuine person who had all the qualities he wanted & had been trying to make the other wives into. He found someone who is just as terrible as he is who will excuse his behavior with explanations that make him feel good about himself. She is a better manipulator & he will spend his life chasing her due to how she makes him feel about himself no matter how vile he behaves.
Interesting take on their situation. Yep, perhaps Kody still doesn’t feel he’s got Robyn 100%. That said, he’s such a handful and extremely needy. No filter? Who needs that in their life?

Naw, James. 😊 Gotta keep in mind this is Kody's first romantic in-love relationship, and he's vulnerable; but he's not chasing Robyn, he has her.. Kody is materialistic and shallow, and so is Robyn; that's how they celebrate their love and life. He not only buys her expensive things, he buys himself expensive things.

I've watched this show from the beginning and wanted to see when it would implode, women do not deserve to share one man and when the 4th was added and feelings became painful the OG3 realized they deserve more than a self centered peter pan excuse of a man.

Look James it the mens side of the story and how a man feels about this behavior. Kody reminds me of my 1st husband God rest his soul he was always more concerned about what he wanted to do and have then he did his child and wife. That doing what he wanted to do before everyone else was what got him killed. Being show where he didn't have to be at or trying to impress someone he was something he never was. As someone who has been involved with a narcissist, they triangulate. They make it known what they don't like and their victims try to jump through hoops to make them happy. That's what happens in polygamy. Kody has made Robyn the pinnacle. The other wives felt inferior and tried hard to win his love (at least Meri and Christine did). Now that there is only Robyn- Kody will find another woman. He will play these women against each other. Robyn may be manipulative but she is no match for Kody. He is an expert in this. That's why he has cheated or has openly talked about being with a "lover". Robyn's on notice. She's feeling totally insecure. Her frown lines and despondent behavior indicates that.
Robyn married a polygamist man not a single guy like she claims she turned down from others because she wanted Polygamy. Kody is trying to self sabotage his relationship with her because he is not getting the reaction from her that he thought he would because he chose her. So if she walks out he can say he messed up and not that he did everything right but she still rejected him. He always has to win even if it's by rewriting history.

If Kody is the villain who is telling Robyn’s children that they are hated by the family, then he should be outed for that and perhaps the three other wives could offer Robyn. She needs to leave this relationship and maybe the other wives could offer support against Kody‘s rage. At least tell her that he’s done this a lot before and it’s nothing that she or her children have done to deserve such treatment. Get out of this relationship.

Kody has to realize that women who have other opportunities, via TV SERIES, are ‘not going to be put out to pasture’ and then say it is acceptable and reasonable. He didn’t realize the power of the media and the female viewers.

i think the real problem is he isnt just damaging the relationship he is emotionally damaging his other wives and children and he needs to answer for that. he never does he gets away with it even in the tell alls. what they should be doing is make him sit there and face all those women together and ask the hard questions that they and us want the answers to.

Kody is mad because the wives and their money is gone. He now can't let Robin shop and spend money that she was used to doing. He know that this show will be ending and he needs to find a job. He also now realize that if Robin leaves him he will have to pay child support and possibly spousal support and will have to split all his money, house and property and he is going to end up with nothing. So he will say that she is the only one that he loved hopes that she will stay.
The reverse scenario you described is well illustrated with Yohan and Danielle currently on 90 Day Fiance- The Other Way.

I agree with you James. Kody ‘s behavior is despicable to the point that I find it difficult to watch the tell-alls. However, I do feel that people have the right to their own autonomy including Kody. Robyn doesn’t allow that for him. He needs to give it up to satisfy her dream of being on the porch with her sister wives. Combined that with the manosphere and now we have the Kody that all his ex wives and wife don’t recognize. He does have a lot to take accountability for but Robyn’s expectations at times are unrealistic and unfair.
I hope he finds his way out of the mess and heals his relationships with his children. I doubt it. It looks like he is doubling down on things etc. instead.
The man that disagreed with Robyn in Season 6 and felt his children had a choice.The man that still has a relationship with Mykelti. That man needs to wake up and remembered how he pushed back on Robyn wanting to kick children out that might not sign their family mission statement. That he should watch Mykelti’s patreon and see her say how Robyn no longer has a relationship with her. Wake up Kody before it’s too late.

Kody is acting like a pick me like he labeled his wives except Robyn , he acts like a desperate p whipped man who is scared he is going to lose her when his money goes all up in smoke, Robyn will be gone and then Kody will be crying in his beer and skittles and realize she played him like the pimp she is.

This is the Pursuer/Distancer pattern and they are both participating in it. I am sure that Robyn was aware that Kody loses interest when things are too easy - when women pursue him - so why wouldn't she play" hard to get" to keep his attention ? it's the smart play. I always warn young women about making it too easy and giving it up early to young men. Women have to know their value and hold firm and not become the pursuer if they want to keep a man's attention and have them make a commitment to them. You don't want to be a cruel distancer - but some men need a challenge. If he doesn't want to work at least a little - then he's just not that into you and it's best to move on.

In their book, Becoming Sister Wives, Kody recounts how during their courtship, Robyn casually mentioned that an older, established gentleman was wanting to pursue her. Kody goes on to say how he was shocked by what she told him and how it was a wake up call. Wake up call for what? The fact he couldn’t see that manipulation for what it was is why he is where he is today. If she was in love with Kody and was sold on him fairly early in the process, why would she even entertain a man trying to pursue her and why would she ever tell Kody? I don’t think the family would have survived because of the fundamental problem that I don’t think Kody has the capability to pull off plural marriage. Also, I don’t believe it would have crashed and burned in such a fantastic fashion with broken relationships with the majority of his children had he chosen someone much better suited to polygamy than Robyn. Robyn was a choice for himself, not the family. The fact that he thought it was so admirable that Robyn forced the acceptance of Kody on her kids when they weren’t even married and their father was in their lives, shows how little he and Robyn understand about relationships. The OG13 had Robyn and her children forced on them, while Robyn walked off herself, her children, and eventually Kody from the rest of the family.
🙌 YESss Robyn is being the Kody in this relationship with Robyn&Kody and Kody is acting like the Christine, because she didn’t like Plural marriage, she didn’t want to share and Kody gave her hell for that. I’m sure it hurt Mari too to have to share… it destroyed Christine, I think Janelle was cool with it, Kody has fallen in love with the female version of himself, Karma baby. 😂
