The new outlook is the purest form of shite to be ever released. Just the fact that you can't have the delayed send beyond the laughably low seconds they offer by default or the calendar notifications don't work when the outlook is closed (despite there being a setting that enables this) proves this.
The problem with this policy isn't just the mail. The app is called mail AND CALENDAR for a reason. By uninstalling this app, I am forced to lose the lightning fast, stylish Windows 10 calendar with light effects to a slow, cheesy replacement. Can this be avoided? Yes. I have downloaded the mail and calendar installation file in advance and if it updates automatically, I'll just disable the update and put it in manually, as I did a little earlier with the photo app, which was also replaced with a new one, taking away the great interface and live tiles.
My Windows 10 pc email got switched to it without my choice some time ago as did one other person I know. It's very lethargic as the whole pc seems to be getting also, reminds me of just before 'Vista' ended. I've never found Windows 10 to have the functionality that Vista had, maybe because Vista was on a Packard Bell but 10 is on a Dell. Doing this on Android, I won't bother with Windows anymore. It was great on 95,98,XP and Vista (never had 8) then it lost its way. Just saying! Thanks for your content.
Will the new Outlook replace Office 365? New Outlook have a word-wrap which old Outlook don't. I have used new Outlook for Window just to have word-wrap.
the bullshit about this is the new outlook app does not support 365 Basic licenses, I work in IT and so many customers called in saying their emails did not work.
Your forgetting to mention this update requires a paid subscription to work! A microsoft update screwed up my old version of outlook. The new version only worked for a short time before limiting features. To get it to work properly now requires a subscription service that I will not be paying. Without payment I cannot reply to email messages or forward messages! I end up going to another mail source when I want to do these things.
@WCT The wrong Outlook? How many Outlooks do you think they have? I'd gladly go back to the one I originally had before their "update" broke it. I think they bundled it with Office 360 and you can't get it without paying for their Office bundle now. Maybe your computer already has the Office bundle and that's why your seeing it as free?

Microsoft could be driving people to Macs if they are not careful.
Just as bad as an OS or worse

What if you have Outlook through an Office installation which is separate from the Windows Outlook that comes with Windows?

No, this is totally free, if you are asked to pay you are using the wrong Outlook that comes with Office. The basic outlook is totally free to use

They have two outlooks, Outlook Classic, that is the paid Outlook for Office users, Outlook New, that is the free one with Windows 10 and 11
I recommend proton mail it's encrypted
Will it be forced to Windows 10 Enterprise IOT LTSC 21H2?
Why doesn’t Microsoft do away with when it 11? It’s a piece of crap and go back to when it’s 10 keeping us the updates we want.
First
I don;t care I don;t use it.
