  • "I wish I had transitioned at a younger age." I explore why I once felt this way, how I addressed and changed that thought process and how it resulted in a better appreciation for the reality of when I did actually transition.
As always, I appreciate the continued support from you all and I hope that you do continue to believe in and support me. Thank you.

5:43 I needed this.Thank you for this video. Someone that saw me struggling with this topic and was kind enough to send me this link.I'm 36 and transitioning.I don't want to miss anymore experiences because I can't stop looking back with regret over not starting earlier.I don't want my present *wonderful* experiences to hurt from the memory of the first time.No matter when we start transition, it can never be earlier enough for us.This is a pain we all share.Thank goodness for our trans-family.

Kudos to your friend for having the awareness and thoughtfulness to forward you material in hopes of assisting you.
As long as you feel this way, that you want to move forward, that is precisely where you will lead yourself. It takes time and sometimes stumbling backwards, but if it is in your desires, it will come. Keep a clear mind and an open heart to receive the blessings of today. I wish you well on your journey.

I do believe this is often true. We have to change our perspective on that because the situation certainly isn't going to "repair" itself (because it is not broken). It shouldn't be viewed as "time lost" but instead as time that can help us to enjoy time we'll better know how to use, in the present and future. (Sankofa!) Don't cheapen the value of past experiences, learn from it instead.
    It certainly is!

You are such a wise man. I think most trans people have regrets regarding the time they lost in their life not being the person that they knew they were. It is good to move on. And it is good to state things as they are, i.e. "It is what it is". Closure my friend, is a good feeling. :) Oh, and the shirt you were wearing ... eyeballs staring at me ,,, what ?!. Loved it. Good thing I'm not paranoid ... hehe

i love your videos. you seem to be a very lovely and insightful person, and even though i'm a cis woman, i feel like i can relate to a lot of what your saying.

Lets not try and interject into what we believe would necessarily be best for another person. Granted I personally wouldn't have been prepared and that's because of other factors involved with transitioning and myself in general. But physically transitioning was something I absolutely knew would be for me. I had always wished there was a way to "become a boy," not knowing there truly was a way. But I allowed other foolish factors to discourage me, just so happened it actually paid off.

I stay on the look out for great channels though. I add them to a list when I do find them. Unfortunately so many stop posting or remove their pages all together. ty

And in regards to prisons, I haven't fully developed my opinion on that yet. I think I would rather see studies done on prisons that currently allow female identified persons into female prisons and vice versa. I need to know if the decision, whatever it is, is safe for the trans AND cis population.

I just no longer felt like holding on to them. But they will return some point in my life.
People should be fighting for whatever it is that they believe in. Whatever affects their lives and that of whomever they find important. If I were playing, then yes, I would push for that. The NCAA has already ruled in favor of trans players, all that is next is for the "big leagues" to set clear guidelines for trans athletes.

random question how comes you cut your dreads?
serious question. what are your opinions on transgendered people in sports and prisons. Would you fight to be on a male team or prison what is it people should be fighting for.
