Before ppl ask for the background music it's in my name also this is the fastest I've ever changed my mind but I just finished the boxer and that shit was better then solo leveling for me lol
I wouldn't say solo leveling is the best but I'll say it's the best at doing what it does, no one reads solo leveling for the plot, side-characters or story. It's literally just weak guy with huge perseverance gets opportunity to become a god, and that's what it is. Every fan of SL reads it for the fight/art, and consistent powering up. And most importantly, the power-up feels earned, its slow but steady transformation gives the fan Euphoria.
I actually really love the plot and side characters lmfao. They put so much personality into his summons, even the basic beginning knights. They all have cute little reactions and stuff. The world building is pretty great too
Agreed, i feel like if they took their time and let the series go for another month or so worth of chapters it would have been better, it feel like towards the end they just wanted to get it over with
They legit thanos snapped everything of importance and made everything that had happend and All the sacrifices worthless. The time fuckery should not have been possible and an open ending with potential for more side storys would in my eyes have been alot Better
I like Omniscient Readers Viewpoint People are saying at first it kinda like solo leveling or atleast thats what you would expect at the begining then they just make you cry and it is pretty deep and very well written.
I like it too, but I have to say Hardcore Leveling Warrior takes first place for me. Great art, excellent character development, stunning plot, and a beautifully written end.
I'm curious on how they will handle the reference for WAF's MC during the later parts of ORV since WAF's manhwa adaptation is more far behind than ORV's adaptation
@@almalone3282 you’re completely right. Demon slayer episode 19 gets trending and then everyone starts to watch it. Jjk ep 7 gets trending then everyone also starts to watch it. It’s so easy that every anime is trending right now.

if you think the ending was rushed it's because Jang Sung-Rak the guy that illustrated solo leveling died by Cerebral Hemorrhage so that's why the ending was rush.
@@Whitedudeabove they literally skipped the epilogue at the end and straight up ended it. Even in the anime and manhwa there's a difference from where it starts. In novel they depicted everything very well and detailed while manhwa rushed the ending and skipped lines and monologues
@@tsgmilangaming6512 Again, they've been skipping stuff the entire adaptation. The artist passing away wasn't the reason it was rushed. It simply was rushed from the very start. One of the few underated comics that are not shown in mainstream anymore would be "The Gamer" it is huge got tons of character and has good world build up

Frr, dude said SL is better than The Boxer 💀💀💀 crazy as fuck, I love SL since it was my first manhwa but without the hype or the art Solo Leveling is pretty meh.
@@darrencewong5171 the storyline is not very good. Shitty overpowered protagonist that has no personality out side of oh he is so strong. Trash side characters. No stakes. This entire series is just having other characters suck the main character off about how strong he is.
good character development flow of the story is good(doesnt turn into garbage, its balance) the plot twist(chef's kiss) focuses on the characters and its background stories
*_"The Tutorial is too hard"_* , *_"The Great Mechanic Han"_* and *_"Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint"_* are another three that does this perfectly as well. The mangas aren't caught up yet but the Light Novels are absolutely Gold. *_"The Trash of the Count's Family"_* is also one that is 100% worthy of your time. Super adorable scenes with hype that isn't inferior to the others I mentioned. The art alone is worth it and the continuation in the LN is great. *_"SSS-Class Suicide Hunter"_* is another one that people sleep on because of the name but it's super good. Although, you'd probably get more out of it if you're already in the Manga/Manhwa/Wuxia rabbit holes as it pariodies the shit out of the tropes found in those
@@teslagasoline5629 I've heard about that one quite a lot from when I asked for a recommendation as well. I think I'll start that one next when I have enough time to read it.
The Great Mechanic is manhua, so Chinese, not Korean, I usually evade Manhua's since they are too repetitive(the great mechanic notwithstanding). But I digress, try the story Legend of the Northern Blade, The Story of a Low-Rank Soldier Becoming a Monarch, and Barbarian Quest. Those are also good.
@@anasmouada9538 nah Manhwa is Korean, Wuxia is Chinese. I totally agree with the whole repetitiveness of Chinese Wuxia. They're literally almost all cultivation novel trying to pursue The Dao of something or other with a handfull of the main character and/or side character names having Xiao/Han/Ren and you either have to be knowledgeable of Chinese culture and idioms or pretty much immerse yourself in the Wuxia genre to get a lot of the things. Basically if you read one, you read 80% of Wuxia novels. Don't get me wrong Korean Manhwa has its own list of very obvious and repetitive cliches and story structures that are very abundant like the LiteRPG/System Novels in some kinda apocalyptic/post apocalyptic Seoul setting (although the villainesse/regressor genres are quickly gaining in popularity as well) but those usually have a lot more story variety and a lot more newcomer friendly.
@@Ethan_Wheeler Manhua is Chinese manga dude, Wuxia is a genre, and the cultivator sh*t is not wuxia it's xianxia, wuxia is almost realistic martial arts, while xianxia is Chinese fantasy based on Chinese mythology/religion. The thing is that almost all the Chinese xianxia that gets made into manhua is the simple, stupid shit that doesn't stop people from understanding it. A lot of xianxia is actually great, but it doesn't get adopted because you need to know a lot about Chinese culture to even begin to understand the nuances in it. I'm talking sh*t like I Shall Seal the Heavens, Desolate Era, and Renegade Immortal. Not the watery bullsh*t that they keep spewing out.
The first manhwa i've ever read... But they rushed the ending. It's a bit disappointing. And it's not the best manhwa imo. There are other manhwas out there that's arguably much better than SL. Like for example: Her summon, the art is 10x much better than SL, the story may not be the best but it's pretty good, the art makes you wanna read more of it, every page has a wallpaper potential, it has the greatest art i've ever seen in all the manhwas i've ever read, the mc is OP as heck, the comedy is pretty good imo, the worldbuilding is great, everything feels massive which is what i love the most about the manhwa. There's also legend of the northern blade, the art is great, the fight scenes are breathtaking and the story is much better than solo leveling's imo. Along with Nano Machine, God of Blackfield, Return of the Mount Hua Sect and many more.
The ending was not rush though, it properly followed it's novel, reader's are just too hype that they didn't notice that it's ending. The author made the after story because to appease the readers, I would say that it's similar to arifureta.
I agree, everyone has/had a phase where Solo Leveling was the best manhwa ever then you realize that it's literally just art and there are other series with better art or a better story perhaps both. The first time you read a plot like SL you get blown away because there's nothing like it in anime or others (that I've experienced) but once you've read more manhwa you see others that are more suited to you or your taste. Perhaps you still do feel SL is the best after reading dozens of manhwa and I'm not invalidating your opinion. This is just my experience with it having read the novel and the manhwa.
@@aidanarmaggeddon true true in all my time reading manhwas and manga which is likr 4 years now i came across SL by chance and i didnt think much of it at the time dince at the timr I already came across something intresting than SL but by any means SL is good and I enjoy its not the best, and out of all the manga theres alot of variable what considered the best for you may not apply to other people, people enjoy what people enjoy so let them enjoy i guess its not our business but its still intresting to know what people think about the stuffs we know/intrested in.
@@aidanarmaggeddon Honestly, Solo Leveling’s plot isn’t unique, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t read much manhwa. It’s the standard power fantasy you can see in practically ever issekai.
Yeah after sorting the trash of regression and Isekai manga's and manhua I could definitely say that the art of solo leveling is good but the story is the mediocre in it's time but know it's been the staple plot for action stories alongside cultivation and Chinese manhuas so it bacame stale long ago it's boring for me know
I personally think a few good ones as of this current point in time are: ORV, Nano Machine, Duke Pendragon (mainly for the art), and a recent one called Worthless Regression/Possessing Nothing. I think Worthless Regression has a good thing going for it rn with its themes but that's purely subjective.
After reading Solo Levelling for the first time, being my first manhwa I thought the same. As I ventured further, I started to read light novels and know more about others manhwa's and light novel. Your taste might be different but there's no way 'Solo Levelling' is the best.
You should read the beginning after the end’s Webnovel. It only gets better as the story progresses and I’ve never had as much fun reading a series as I had TBATE. Everything is super fleshed out and it all comes together to become a bigger and better story.
"What makes manhwas good isnt the story, but the hype" so that means you obviously havent read a manhwa with a good story... What was even a point in making this video... 😐
no it is tho not only in mawhas tho it goes with everything star wars is the same it does not have a exteme good story its decent but overall the key scenes were great which hyped it up and made it one of the goat franchises
@@RyunoMask Thats true there goes diffrent aspects especially what you personally like more if you are more the story dude then ther will be a lot others manwhas you like more and if you are more the hype/vibe person then you will like solo leveling more or anime like dragonball where the story isnt in focus but the fights ans feeling

@@Titan_R1 I kinda like the light novel version of solo leveling than the webcomic. There were some important stuff that the manhwa didnt include from the LN.
I agree with this and I think it's more good than solo leveling plus the conspiracy and politics within the story on who the main villain make the story more better imo
@@FredMains The story itself is at best B tier, there was absoulutely no reason for Ashborn to 'unify' with Sung, that was just forced writing. And this completely destroys the main plot. The execution was worse, around C tier. Absoulutely everything revolves around Sung, there's a clear distinction made between the so called 'mc' and 'side characters', and that ruins any story that's looking to create anything remotely realistic. The hype and art is all this thing's got going for it, which are A and S tier respectively. But that merely drags the manhwa to A-. And although still extremely cringe and basic, there exist better manhwas. For example, TBATE(too dramatic, but still a respectable A, at least there's a decent reason behind the mc's rise), Memorize n some others i cant rememver.
the fact that its popularity has in a short amount of time is absurd. others would rather have it continue even if its just fillers or extras just to have more stuff about it makes it better in grabing viewers and popularity than any other manwha. people dont say that its the best because its has better story or character than any other but for its charisma and the hype. thats why shonen is so popular.

Eleceed is where i ended up after solo levelling to fill the hole in my heart. It's so good I've recommended it to all my friends. Yeah, it'll never beat how hard sung jin woo made me simp (mans is fine 🥵🥵) but the plot is great and all the characters are so lovable it warms my soul. Lookism I also loved, but as someone who's been following it since it was a high school drama... That's gone so far off the rails that it's not even what it was to start off with and it shows. Taejun Pak's other work, Viral Hit is much better for plot consistency imo. But the lookism characters... The men tho??? The muscles, the tats, the hair. Blonde Eli??? 😍🥵 ugh. Started the boxer but never really got into it. Maybe I should go back to it and try again?

I would put Reincarnation of the suicidal battle which is also known as doom breaker on webtoon at great. Storyline was interesting, it really had it's hype moments and they rapped season 1 pretty well
Yeah to be honest i like the plot of the story but man im not going to wait for 5+ years for it to finish(i mean the manhwa) but i've read the book and i like it to be honest
I still think ToG has one of the best story and world building manwha but I definitely agree the fact that ORV is tenfold better than solo leveling. Solo.leveling is just well known for its breathtaking fighting scenes, story, character development wise not so much and most of all the thing that I hated the most in this manwha is how other characters are thrown away like Cha.Hae and definitely Liu Zhigang and many more characters that could have made the story more interesting.
@@haikaldzuhri3054 If I recall correctly God Of Highschool was only produced by Crunchyroll. So with Aniplex in the mix I doubt they'll allow the storyboarding to "go rogue", so to say. I am worried however that A1, despite how great their animation work is, has the single worst sound design out of any anime studio I can remember. It's always unrecognizable earrape sounds for everything, from a large rock wall getting destroyed to the smallest pebble hitting the ground. Any metalic sound they make also sounds horrible. My favorite manwha is The God of Highschool, story is awesome, characters are awesome, fights are dragon ball levels of cracked later on, it's cool to have such an accurate version of the monkey king as opposed to say Goku who I as himself, but Jin Mori is a much closer version of son wukong which is really cool, he can do pretty much anything but transformation. I would die happy if we got an actual journey to the west arc as a side story or something in the god of highschool universe.
He can change his appearance to a certain degree, but the manwha never really explored his shape shifting powers. They'll forever be goated for Mori Hui and Mori Jung
Goh is the best manhua I ever read ,seriously the story, twists, honor, betrayal and keeping promises after betrayal .its just god lvl. Only few like aot, hxh can even come close to it.
I agree ever since we got mujins backstory hell ever since daewis fangirl died we've been consistently getting 10/10 chapters adding layers to the characters and story while GOH has its own faults with pacing and some plot points that didn't hit as hard it's definitely story wise one for the best webtoons though oraeguk and ragnarok are imo essentially just hype action arcs the rest of the arcs add a lot to the story but it's definitely not as good as hunter x hunter or aot. If you liked GOH read the Breaker and sun ken rock those 2 are the only manwha which I have above GOH story wise and sun ken rock is a lot more hype and if you like the martial arts aspect of the beginning of GOH the Breaker is essentially that but different plot
Some other good manhwa’s (imo) are Damn Reincarnated, there is this one where the protagonist has a Demon Wife, and their trying to get her back to Queen. it is something like “My Wife Is a Demon Queen”, recommend these.
I read it and DAAAAMN of it isn't in my top three picks. Like it's absolutely awesome! The beginning after the end needs to hurry up because it so far is probably my favorite
Begining after the end has been getting kind of boring with the new arc and thank God people are giving some respect to boxer ,it was an amazing series

It really added a layer of complexity and reality.
@@amathos1130 he mentioned how muscles come in pairs, each pair coming with a muscle for one kind of motion, and another for the opposite motion. The way I interpret the technique isn't as only focusing mana on one muscle to increase its power, but that simply augmenting causes muscles to contract, but since it activates both parts of the pair it's balances out, and that Arthur only focusing mana densely on a part of those pairs allows him to 1. Artificially move his muscles 2. Also allocate more mana on the parts that matter making it more potent than normal augmentation. And this would explain why his legs can't handle the burden, because everything he isn't augmenting is weaker than his now insanely augment parts putting them under stress.
"99+ level stick" not all hype but gets me laugh he even scared the shit out of the last boss and the last last boss and a God "Ending maker" It's like konosuba but there's 2 characters, they don't fail miserably, they're cool, reactions are kinda relatable, and romance
I love manhwa like solo levelling and anime like demon slayer, but for different reasons than I like other manhwa and anime. Sometimes I just wanna see cool fights and animation without having to think too hard. Solo levelling has awesome character and power designs, the power scaling (at least in the beginning) was good and the challenges felt real and difficult, and the fights just got me hyped. the only problems i see in tbate comes from the early story and thats simply because he was a new author when he wrote it. He has done an amazing job fixing some of the more painful parts of the story when adapting it to a webtoon simply because he's far more experienced now than he was then

I agree wholeheartedly, ORV is something different entirely with the characters and plot while SL is more on the hype.
Nah the illustrations were amazing one of the best parts imo

I was waiting for that one hahahaa like what about all of the other genres?!
So many great romance manwhas!
Mid Story I stopped wondering how Sung would win. The series stopped being interesting soon later. In my opinion, the Beginning after the End has dealt with the overpowering of the MC in a much better way.
But hey, that’s your opinion. Or is it?
Well tbate is also gonna become dark asf, from what ive heard, spoilerish btw, the story does NOT get nicer, its a fucking void that keeps getting deeper and darker and more gut wrenching, but thats what ive heard from other

Best manhwa Indeed
Its not as good imo, but mosquito wars is a cool read
What made Solo Leveling absolutely great in the long run of things is it’s art considering there’s so much cliche op mc’s, tower stuff or dungeon stuff going on…sure enough SL’s story progression is great and all but the visuals were stunning to see

@@flamegaming5691 Saitama's gag is that he is OP, his struggle is that he is trying to find an opponent stronger than him in his world. As for solo leveling, he is just strong and people see that and think "omg so cool he just obliterated his opponent", not realizing that's basically an isekai.

Nano List, Northern Blade, I Am The Fated Villian, Nano Machine, Poison Dragon: Legend Of Asura, Lightning Degree, Reaper Of The Drifting Moon, Murim Login, Omniscient Readers Point Of View, Volcanic Age, The Undefeatable Swordsman, Magic Emperor, Olgami are all manhuas I enjoyed over Solo Leveling

to the 1 person who has read "Solo Leveling" and sees this comment i would like you to know that "Solo Leveling" is getting an anime which is going to be made by A-1 Pictures who made "Sword Art Online" and "Erased". the anime's music will be composed by Hiroyuki Sawano who worked on "Attack on Titan", "Blue Exorsist", and "Kill La Kill"
the anime is said to be released worldwide sometimes in 2023 however there will be minor changes to the story since it is most likely to adapt the Japanese translation of the Manhwa.
for example; Jin-woo is now Shun Mizushino, and the settings change from Seoul to Tokyo.
hope this helps as to when the anime will be release and as to an idea on what the anime will be like : )
damn they should stay in South Korea and even the f Ing name ?

Just for saying the first line I hv subscribed to ur channel love u
My favorite manwha is The God of Highschool, story is awesome, characters are awesome, fights are dragon ball levels of cracked later on, it's cool to have such an accurate version of the monkey king as opposed to say Goku who I as himself, but Jin Mori is a much closer version of son wukong which is really cool, he can do pretty much anything but transformation. I would die happy if we got an actual journey to the west arc as a side story or something in the god of highschool universe.
Mate that series should have ended twice and now we are in fucking space xD

You mean god of highschool??
@@HP-bc3ks yes
Yeah, new arc has been progressing slowly
It's kinda a miss compared to the LN. Like there you get a sense of anticipation of dangerous unknown and how they prepare for the war.
Honestly, the ln for tbate is so much better. Some scenes are better experienced in your own imagination with the word artistry the author uses, plus the fact that the novel has been consistently goated for a while now with its content.
@@UltraHydrationSupreme yup, especially when they elaborate on his powers and make it kinda make sense. Like
How he Arthur explained the muscles involved in walking and how he’d Intricately manipulate the force going into specific muscles in the technique he invented, instead of just the simple “using magic to enhance his body “.
It really added a layer of complexity and reality.
@@amathos1130 he mentioned how muscles come in pairs, each pair coming with a muscle for one kind of motion, and another for the opposite motion. The way I interpret the technique isn't as only focusing mana on one muscle to increase its power, but that simply augmenting causes muscles to contract, but since it activates both parts of the pair it's balances out, and that Arthur only focusing mana densely on a part of those pairs allows him to
1. Artificially move his muscles
2. Also allocate more mana on the parts that matter making it more potent than normal augmentation.
And this would explain why his legs can't handle the burden, because everything he isn't augmenting is weaker than his now insanely augment parts putting them under stress.
Rest in Peace Jang Suk Ra.
Rest in peace

I love manhwa like solo levelling and anime like demon slayer, but for different reasons than I like other manhwa and anime. Sometimes I just wanna see cool fights and animation without having to think too hard. Solo levelling has awesome character and power designs, the power scaling (at least in the beginning) was good and the challenges felt real and difficult, and the fights just got me hyped. Same thing with demon slayer. I struggle to ever call something my favourite comic or show because I think you experience different stories for different things.
The plot is literally the same thing every arc. It’s just a constant repeat, and nothing unique
Obviously haven't read solo leveling lol, none of the arcs were even similar

That’s what I’m thinking too tbate still has lots of potential and personally will out best SL
the only problems i see in tbate comes from the early story and thats simply because he was a new author when he wrote it. He has done an amazing job fixing some of the more painful parts of the story when adapting it to a webtoon simply because he's far more experienced now than he was then
God the tbate novel is fucking exceptional and has some really good characters especially Arthur's father, as well as some really emotional scenes.
