- Continuing our week long adventure to the Northern California / Southern Oregon Coast, we explore the Crescent City area, the Newton Drury Scenic Parkway and then head north to tour up to Gold Beach Oregon. Come along for the ride as we enjoy the beautiful Northern Pacific coastline and California redwoods.
The Scenic parkway in Prarie Creek state park is an epic drive! Must be almost heaven in a roadster.
Your videos deserve a 1/4 million views!! So inspiring ❤
Hello,
Yes, driving anywhere in the Redwoods in a convertible is amazing. It was the main reason we took the Roadster instead of the Fordor, even though the weather was a bit iffy.
So glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for coming along. Appreciate the view and comment. Next video is all about the inspiring Redwoods.
Thanks
Jim & Lindy
@modelajim1930 where did you get the train whistle? Model A parts store or did you go with a vintage one? 🤔

My exhaust whistles are vintage ones. My first model A came with one, so I was introduced to them on day one. I keep an eye out on eBay for them. The whistle part is fairly easy to come by, it’s the original valve part that goes between the manifold and muffler that are rare. They’re not cheap as many people bid on them. But for me spending a couple hundred bucks on one is worth it. I have a lot of fun with it.
Great video, Jim. Have driven the Oregon coast Hwy 1 many times. So beautiful and relaxing. Buts me in a very happy place. Thanks
Hello William,
Very happy you enjoyed the video. Appreciate the comment and support. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
That would definitely be a beautiful drive in a Model A! Thanks for taking us along again!
Jeff,
We had to watch the weather closely, and we’re lucky to have relatives in the area to garage the car, as it did rain a couple days we were on the coast, but we wanted to take the Roaster just to be able to drop the top through the redwoods. Thank you for continuing to ride in the passenger seat. Greatly appreciated it.

Just subscribed Jim. You have a great channel. I love what you are doing so keep 'em coming. I know first hand how time consuming and difficult it is to make these videos.
Hello Ken,
Thank you for the wonderful feedback. You just help inspired me to keep going. It does take a little extra time to do the filming, but also makes the trip fun in an entire different way. Appreciate the comment.
Jim & Lindy.
Another great video.
Hello Stephanie
We’re so glad you enjoy the video. We appreciate your continued support, we can’t do it with the great feedback (good or bad), to help us continue to improve. We enjoy making the videos but want to be sure it’s worth your time to watch, so again thank you for the feedback.
See you out on the road.
Jim & Lindy
The little mermaid though! 😂😂😂
Don’t think I saw that, I liked the Scooby-Doo ones.
No hands driving. Car looks kinda old to be an Uber and kinda old to be autonomous. Did the solar charging work through the redwoods?
It has a hand throttle, does that count?
@@modelajim1930 yes, hand throttle controlled by thought waves works
You're so fortunate to have such so many beautiful areas to visit. Unfortunately, it's not something I'll ever see in person, so it's great to take us along. It's absolutely gorgeous seeing the many different areas you both travel. Thanks ! You seem to put on a ton of miles. What kind of tires do you use? Thanks for your time. Be safe and enjoy.
Hello Dean,
We’ll always have a spot for you in the passenger seat, so glad you can see the Western US through our windows.
The Roadster has Firestone tires, that have been in the car for quite some time, probably need replacing next year. The Fordor has some cheapo’s I put on just before we went to the national tour in Kanab Utah back in 2019. They were the only ones I could find locally in a hurry, as I decided to change the tires last minute. They’re holding up OK. The total mileage for this week long adventure was 1163. Definitely higher than our usual Model A Adventures. But we visited family along the way as well which made it worthwhile. Glad you enjoy the videos. Keep them tow trucks at bay!
