@@modelajim1930 Lower rad hose slipped off the radiator and I overheated very quickly. Changed oil, filled the coolant and retorqued the head when it cooled down at home and we're back in business. Hard to kill these ol gals!
@@edselsadventures A few years back I blew a head gasket and had to change it out in a Walmart parking lot at near midnight. Got home from that trip at 5:00am. All’s well that ends well. Keep driving them!

Hello Dave, I use the 600 weight oil from Snyder's, the real stuff not the 90 weight gear oil some vender's try to pass off. The key to downshifting is to give the accelerator a quick pop just as you shift, that'll spin the gears and equalize the speed. works for both 1st and 2nd downshifts.
