Hi you two , Thanks for the reply , I remember the walk in to Harwoods Hole as being very surreal , almost prehistoric if that is the right term , those sink holes which are now small lakes must be bottomless almost ! Pupu springs are amazing , I was there once when a team of divers tried to dive in to the springs , they had so much added weight belts on they could barely walk , the force of the springs pushed them back to the surface very quickly , like a cork out of a bottle ! Glad you like our South Island , a very special place indeed . Enjoy the rest of your travels .

Hello! Definitely prehistoric. As you do the walk it's almost like going back in time haha.
That's amazing, it looks like it could be an incredible place to dive!

*Thanks again for showing off my beautiful country for watchers now and in the future. For longer walks and hikes, do wear sneakers or hiking boots as they give you much better grip on the terrain, than the smooth souls of the sandals ever will. Yeah being barefoot on sand, as you feel the sand between your toes... is a awesome feeling aye. Keep on being safe.*

    • @NotAnotherAdventure
      @NotAnotherAdventure  Год назад +1

Agreed! Sandals are all well and good for shorter hikes. But longer ones our boots are so much better!
Sand on bare toes, there's no better feeling!

Takaka Hill is known locally as " Marble Mountain " I believe the large support columns for the old Houses of Parliament in Wellington were mined from the Takaka
Hill , glad you enjoyed the walk in to Harwoods Hole , we have only done it once , but remember it being a very scenic area .

Wow, Mr. and Mrs. Not another adventure
    (Tom and Hannah)
You are brave to walk barefoot on the moss by the water. I like to feel nature through my skin but wasn't it slippery?
OMGoodness, you are now climbing on large boulders. 4:20 Magnificent landscape and rugged face cliffs are impressive. Oh..Let me peek at the sink hole 4:56
Oh...I wish you could experience kayaking 7:18 wow I would love to see this cracked apple one day. Is this destination iconic? I don't see anybody else around you. May be too cold?
    Lovely stroll.
Thank YOU so much and I cannot wait for the next episode.
ciao. I am wondering if you enjoy my cave kayaking...

      Hello!
It was a little slippery but felt amazing! We would have loved to experience the kayaking but it was just so expensive. Maybe after we've worked for a bit we can go back 🤞
The split apple is pretty iconic, a must see in NZ!

The rock around Harwoods Hole is called Karst. It is weathered limestone . I recommend Ngarua caves at the top of Tarkaka Hill in Motueka.www.tripadvisor.co.nz/Attraction_Review-g737062-d2694316-Reviews-Ngarua_Caves-Motueka_Nelson_Tasman_Region_South_Island.html
