This is fun! I definitely love the new Gabumon line best.
I'm interested in what Data Squad's lines could be. While Lalamon could be used as the basis, leaning more into the dragon-like feeling of Sunflowmon could be fun! And Falcomon to Kougamon to Fumamon could be fun, leaning into the ninja traits.

I do like balistamon for Izzy's partner. I was always kinda weird that the nerd kids partner was this giant, monstrous, demon bug but the shift into robo-bug is a lot cooler imo. Wisemon is a bit more out there but fun nonetheless. I think the lesson is just that we need more diverse bug digimon
I adore Patamon turning into Unimon, and Gatomon becoming Piximon!
Caturamon works so well for the alternate Gatomon evolution because though it is the "Dog Deva" due to a common misunderstanding calling Shishi (the statues) "foo dogs" but they are in fact _stylized lions_ so Gatomon keeps its feline theming as well as holy theming by becoming this Digimon.
Lots of nostalgia in this video for me. I've always loved Drimogemon and Tyrannomon so seeing them as main characters would have been awesome. I think Gatomon's Baihumon option is probably my favorite of these though. It's kind of nice to see more lines that don't turn so humanoid at the end.
Definitely a fun video, it's always fun exploring different branches Digimon can go in. I really love tentomon becoming balistamon, I can definitely see a little bug piloting him and as he gets smarter losing more mass but getting stronger and attacking more from range not putting himself in harm

I think giving Light a second line that turns out a bit darker with Bastemon and so on would still fit as an alternative if the whole Dark Ocean thing hadn't been kinda dropped but instead became more of a thing that influences Hikari. Maybe even giving her an entire arc where she becomnes evil for a bit or is at least controlled/kidnapped by something. The Dark Ocean in general always gets the short end i feel like. It is mentioned multiple times but never really gets any real spotlight as to what it is or what is going on there.
I prefer this Patamon line it definitely feels more curated than the angemon line, love your alternate digivolution videos

I've always loved Drimogemon's design, but the smooth transition from JaegerDorulumon into Rasenmon makes me wonder if Gabumon should just evolve into Dorulumon. Also WOW those Birdramon evos really carry more the fire to them and has better progression than going from bipedal bird to bird to biped with back wings to bird. I really like how the Tentomon alt-line lines up with Izzy's episodes in original series, becoming mechanical from the factory and gaining great intellect from the cosmic environment.
*(**0:12** - **0:15**)* Looked away from the video for a second and thought you said "adding or subtracting wings", which... would also make a surprising amount of sense.
Never quite realized how almost all of the Digidestined Digimon have at least one form where they gain wings, or if they already have them, gain _more_ wings (for example, in Adventure and 02, it applies to _everyone_ except Gomamon).
I really Gabumon to cyclonemon as if they lose to pelt and embrace they reptilian Data, but also enjoy the idea that Gabumons if they’re really embarrassed about being “naked” they find items to replace the pelt, so maybe they get metal turning them into Tankmon
Also patamon can evo into Centarmon too so Patamon originally meant to turn into horses/horse like digimon

@@Karn_EXthe tentomon line also keeps all of the "knowledge" it gained via evolving, the yellow eyes of tentomon, basitamon's computing power( & metallic shine but that got skipped by wisemon's clothes), wisemon's sorcery, all carried through until the end.

I'm sure this is hardly the best way to get an idea out there, but Imma keep trying cuz I'd really love to see this custom art video: What if the Elemental Spirits were used to Armour Digivolve, or vice versa, What if the Digieggs were used to Spirit Evolve. I've always wondered what a Spirit of Courage or Spirit of Sincerity might look like, and the idea of a Digimon with the Beetlemon or Arbourmon armour etc. is just too cool to ignore!

One line I've tossed around my brain for a long time is Gomamon -> Gesomon -> Marinedevimon, but I haven't found the perfect mega for the line yet. Regalecusmon and Neptunemon are contenders, with Regalecusmon being the winner between the two, but I'm not totally in love with it
I love the Salamon to Patamon to Pixiemon to MarineAngemon because it focuses on digimon which are strong while being small, which felt like part of the point of Gatomon.
Karn an idea I have is all you have is their rookie level and then you have to draw or make their digivolution lines up to mega. I'm curious what you would do if you didn't know anything about Digimon and had to make a level just based on their rookie.
Loved this! I think Shivamon woulda been sick for tentomons mega. Tentomon into Ballistamon into Climbmon then Shivamon. Climbmon keeps Ballistamon's eyes too as does shivamon somewhat

I mean for Tentomon’s evolution line, you could think back to Izzy accidentally finding Tentomon’s data, thus unlocking Kabuterimon. And thanks to that, Tentomon now has access to Kabuterimon’s evolution line.
Kudos on tentomon, on all of these honestly but I like the sage idea behind it.
This idea was exactly what I was thinking about but I would have called it along the lines of "what if digimon lines were consistent?"

Centarumon into Kentaurosmon or Sagittariusmon would be another pretty fun way for Patamon to evolve. I also like the implied Duftmon line for Salamon from BT13 of the card game (i.e. Salamon becoming Mikemon - which could still be Gatomon here - which becomes Mihiramon before finally digivolving into Duftmon.)
There's a lot of fun stuff you could do with this style of video, it's a pretty cool idea

I like this. How about a video giving the Tamers cast the armor digi-eggs of Adventure 02?
Love the acknowledging of Cyclonemon as a dark greymon, especially since Digimon World 2 already implied it since to get Veemon you have to fuse a greymon line digimon (normal, metal or war) with a biyomon line (bridramon, airdramon, Veedramon, Aeroveedramon, Garuda, Phoenix). Although there was a single exception, out of all the other digimon, Cyclonemon could he fused with a Biyomon line to produce Veemon.
Not the Cyclonemon line, not Cyclonemon and his evolutions. Just him, and he has nothing to do with the Greymon line in this game.
I cannot stress enough how much I love Rasielmon to be the mega of Kari's Tailmon, above both Holydramon and Ofanimon.
Look, Rasielmon has in its design aspects of every single member of Adventure's Tailmon's evolution line, it has the angelic aspect from Angrewomon, the cat's aspects from Tailmon and Nyaromon, and her white hair brings thoughts of Plotmon's fur, and it fits so well for Kari's Tailmon specifically.
Besides, I always prefer the Plotmon/Luxmon - D' arcmon - Angewomon - Ofanimon, and Plotmon - Tailmon - Meicrackmon - Holydramon as evolution lines.

I was rewatching the Digimon Frontier Dark evolution video (because my god are those designs awesome) and this narrative popped in my head that in the universe that Takuya falls to darkness replacing his flames of courage and warmth with hunger and destruction setting him on a path to consume the spirits of his once friends leading him to Spirit evolving to the Mega Level Dark Virus Type Digimon Jormon(Jörmungandr), the Dark counter part to Susanoomon, a selfish digimon whose hunger for new data never ceases
Very fun ideas, there is a lot of untapped potential in those old evolutions where they weren't yet designing full lines and it was a bit more haphazard. Tyranomon and Unimon being the OG evos for Agumon and Patamon I think are perfect examples, and yet we never see any of that in the anime.
while watching this i had an idea what if the og adventure digimon partners all ended up as a royal knight. while it wouldnt work for magnamon or UlforceVeedramon given there veemon conection or gallentmon with tamers. i would still like to see with the remianing partners how they could flow into them maybe even some haveing to pull an omnimon

I really like this video series idea! I think it's really interesting to consider these Digimon from another perspective and think about what could've been. Also, we need more Garurumon-adjacent megas that have something unique to them, like a mega for dorulumon.
Karn, I've felt for years that the angel/devil/demon digivolutions should be rarer for a species to digivolve too. So for Patamon, I've felt Unimon should have Patamon's normal digivolution with Angemon being only certain Patamon, TK's being one of them. It's nice to see someone else think the same think. I would also like to have seen Izzy's Kabuterimon digivolve to the blue version of MegaKabuterimon and have that get an alternate Mega. This would give it a similar alternate Mega like Agumon and Gabumon do in Adventure 2020. This would only leave Palmon and Biyomon from having an alternate Mega. Love to here your thoughts on that sometime

Maybe its just because I'm replaying Digimon World 2 right now, but I like the theme of 'just a little guy' for Patamon, taking the Ninjamon champion, then picking from the Mamemon variants for Ultimates and Megas.
I always liked the idea of Cyclomon being the direct Champion form of Kimeramon or Jogressing with Deltamon to make Kimeramon

Although, speaking of Custom Art, I feel like I have suggested for a Video on how a Kimeramon Evolution-line would look like for the longest time now and I am really curious about what you think of the idea.
I like Hippogriffmon for Patamon due to the collar it wears having a Patamon shaped ornament on it.
A cool follow-up to this is the effect it would have on the 02 Armours, which is really exciting to think about.
I heard somewhere that Gatomon’s gloves come from collected data of SaberLeomon, similar to Gabumon’s pelt. Maybe an alternate line could be Salamon>Gatomon>Mihiramon>SaberLeomon.
Also had an idea for a video: What if the 02 partners had dark armour Digivolution when the humans show the opposite of each crest?
Imo a GREAT alternative line for Gabumon, like you suggested yourself at the beginning, would be something embracing his more dark and -dramon side by dropping his fake fur by Digievolving to his Champion level:
Gabumon, to
Cyclomon, yellow veiny flesh, the horn, evil, more reptilian like with a tail (again, by losing his Gabumon fake fur), to
SKULLGREIMON, I know he's technicaly part of Agumons original evolution line, but he's not anymore in the alternative one, and it would be a great way to keep a fan favourite in the original Adventure story (and Skullgreimon being his intended Ultimate stage, and not a failed/dark one) and also linking it to the common theory that Skullgreymon is the skeletal remains of Cyclomon, evil too, possessing dinosaur/-dramon features, thw horns ect..., to
Mugendramon (Machinedramon), personaly I think it has the most affinity with the line I thought about, evil, -dramon etc... and it also would be a perfect partner for Gaioumon to combine in Omegamon Zwart. The only problem would be Mugendramon already being one of the Dark Masters, BUT WHO CARES, he's too fitting for the role

Can you do the full evolution lines for the Legendary Ten Warriors (Ancientgreymon, Ancientgarurumon, ect)? And since many of the spirit Digimon have received regular levels since their release maybe do one line with he spirit Digimon and one line without them each.
How did I not expect Karn to use Plesiomon? Man, loves Plesiomon.

An interesting premise for sure, I'd definitely be down for there to be more videos like this.
Ironically, I guess you could say Agumon already has that kind of different line thanks to V-Tamer, since that Tais Veedramon also evolved from Agumon, although I like the line proposed here as well, I'm usually more of a "Tyrannomon-emmancipationist", in the sense of I want Tyrannomon to have its own Rookie seperate from the Agumon that's strongly associated with the Greymon-family, but if the premise is to have Tyrannomon take the place of the origin of injustice, I'm down for it! -Well, I'd also be satisfied if Bandai started treating Tyrannomon more equally to Greymon as an Agumon-evolution more often, like they did with that TCG-art, although to me that'd also mean expanding the Tyrannomon-family...-
The Gabumon-line feels good, maybe Dorulumon as Champion could be under consideration, although that'd also be just a bit too on the nose probably, Drimogemon definitely feels like the best choice, also as a Digimon of the "first generation".
Tentomon is also one I've recently begun to question. I mean, I definitely feel like Tentomon fits to Izzy, and Tentomons line to HeraclesKabuterimon definitely flows well, but... HeraclesKabuterimon doesn't fit as well to Izzy and his Crest of Knowledge... unless the intention is for HeraclesKabuterimon to be the "muscle" to Izzys "brain", but even that's just a bit off... Anyways, I like the line up to including Wisemon, but where Wisemon still feels like it could be a bug underneath, AncientWisemon has that mirror-body on full display, so while it's not the worst option, I'd personally like to at least try and keep the bug-motif, and thus I'd suggest Shivamon, an enlightened insect-type Digimon that I could also see work as an evolution from Wisemon.
I also like the Patamon-line, honestly interesting to hear that Unimon might've been its intended line at one point, but also that they seemingly keep referencing that even though it has almost completely switched to Angemon now.
Lol would love to see some speculation on that old metabots crossover and more cool potential ideas

Interesting I enjoyed the video
I kinda liked Cyclonemon as an Agumon evolution specifically if it went to Brachiomon and Cannondramon afterwards. Loses the machine for a level, but it comes back in the Mega while still keeping the dinosaur feeling. Also leads to a different Agumon evolution being the cannon arm in Omnimon so Gabumon's could be the sword.
Based on your vikegreymon idea I began to spin idea for my own Digimon au where the big villains are evil versions of the original digidestined digimon with inverted crests potentially even crests from the other digidestined.
For example we have your vikegreymon idea. I renamed this to lonegreymon the embodiment of loneliness.
Then we had its counterpart dreadgarurumon the embodiment of fear. It's crest would be the courage symbol but with the triangles pointing inwards.
I like the idea of hydramon as an evil version for palmon. Initially I had the idea of 'tanglemon' and it was going to be tied to Joe's crest but inverted. So an unreliable digimon. I was tempted to give it like ice thorns.
Then we had Joe's continue with the Norse theme and taking inspiration from season 2 of Loki to become the embodiment of insincerity which I took to be like lies etc. so I thought of lokimon.
I wanted to keep tk and Kari linked so we had darkness and despair. But I've not settled on digimon for these. I know we have the demon digimon but none of them quite fit in my head.
Finally we had keeping the pairings sora and Izzy. I ended up with hatekabuterimon and dodomon as ideas currently. So dodomon would be the embodiment of stupidity (and likely the weakest of the right) whilst hatekabuterimon would be the embodiment of hatred and be one of the strongest.
I wanted to then tie in omnimon with like an omnimon alter and that somehow tying into imperialdramon to create Blackguard Mode instead of paladin mode. Not sure how I'll tie that in yet except maybe it actually is the originals gone bad and it's up to 02 gen to stop them or maybe ken and Davis are the actual ultimate villains manipulating things behind the scenes to make the right strong enough before absorbing them
I always get stuck designing my fan made Digimon digivolutions because I don’t know how the design works and naming them is another hard part as well
A Gaiomon and Rasenmon style Omnimon sounds pretty cool
I honestly can completely see Gabumon digivolving to Dorulumon. As much as I’d love it if Dorulumon’s design closer resembled the OG style, tho. I also feel the same for Tentomon & Ballistamon
Rasielmon's holy rings make sense given she is an Ophanim-class Angel Demon, the same rank as Ophanimon herself
Okay, hear me out. We go with RustTyrannomon as the mega for Agumon instead so that it will be the cannon arm and the melee arm will be a drill from Rasenmon for whatever alternative to Omegamon they combine into.
I did love the Patamon and the Tentomon lines. Works well.
A digimon i really like for a beast Patamon perfect is Manticoremon. I think it would work for a middle stage between pegasmon/unimon and Goddramon, it's has a relationship with the angel clan so that is a plus. Those patamon evos are based on mythical creatures (pegasus/unicorn, manticore and a dragon). It's a perfect that has a helmet in it's head like the other Patamon evos. Also i like how Manticoremon has wings for ears like patamon and pegasmon.
I still love Patamon, Pegasusmon, Chirinmon, Goldramon! And I also love Kudamon (2006) and both of them sharing the same line!
But what about what if Digimon data squad, digimon xros wars warp digivolved? I like that idea series of videos and this type of videos about 02, Tamers, Data Squad, xros wars and ghost game
I feel like the line that Karn made for Sora works better with Saberdramon. I still really love these picks. I've had similar ideas about Patamon for a while now. Another fun pick for Izzy/Koshiro would be Blade Kuwagamon to MetallifeKuwagamon. They're a little more insectoid than Ballistamon but still keep the robotic elements.

Probably what has become my favourite palmon evo (most likely due to the vb) is palmon to snimon jewelbeemon and finally bloomlordmon. You could also swap out palmon for wormon and it would still work. I just love jewelbeemon into bloomlordmon as they have the same antenna similar armor shapes in the arms and legs and use almost identical weapons. It also has an element of the digiegg of kindness it gaining a pink flower as a main focal point so maybe it could be an alternate wormon mega

I always thought togemon - ajatarmon - bloomlordmon was a great thematic line of advancing styles of combat, starting off as a hand to hand fighter before going to crude tool based weapons then ending on purpose made fully developed weaponry, I like what you picked though I'm not the biggest fan of blossomon but it works as an in-between for togemon and hydramon
For Gatomon I think the tiger deva instead of the Dog Deva would be a cool option and then maybe like Sakuyamon?

The Palmon line made me think how in 2020 Togemon evolved to Lilimon because of Mimi's feelings of sorrow and anger (or at least that's what the subs I watched said, I guess it could be a mistranslation idk). I know there's an explanation as to why that's a good think but my instant first thought was "man, that sounds like a recipe for dark digivolution, doesn't it?". Anyway, point is, I love Palmon to Hydramon.

But giving the adventure cast V-Pet style evolutions, but instead of just picking some digimon that fit narratively, watch some stand out evolution moments and based off of how the Digimon is treated/eats/wins/loses fights, pick and appropriate evolution

Tentomon has super shocker, and Kabuterimon has electro shocker, but Megakabuterimon loses the electricity theme for horn buster
Digimon Project and Cyber Sleuth have made me really like Sunflowmon as a Palmon Champion cuz it keeps more of Palmon's body shape than Togemon, and after finally watching Xros Wars, I'm a big fan of Dorulumon as an alternate Gabumon Champion, so I like the JaegerDorulumon Ultimate by extension. I'm admittedly not sure what my ideal Birdramon line looks like, but I definitely think Garudamon works better as an Ultimate for Aquilamon than Birdramon. Survive has me absolutely sold on Tyrannomon as an Agumon Champion. I do think of Patamon as the de facto Rookie for the Unimon-Hippogriffomon-Gryphonmon line.
