How to install dual (multiple) Operating Systems in one hard drive

Today im going to show you on how to have/install dual (multiple) Operating Systems in one hard drive.
Things to remember:
-40gb in the new partition
-Same "Bit" (32bit or 64bit)
Steps:
1. Go to start
2. Right click computer and choose Manage
3. Under storage to go Disk Management
4. Right Click the Hard Drive you want to partition (Usally the "C:" drive) and click Shrink Volume
5. Shrink it to 40000MB (40GB)
6. Choose any Drive letter you want and click next on everything
7. Turn Off you computer
8. Boot up the Operating system
9. Install the OS
10. After the first restart do not press Any key until the Installation ask you for a User Name and ETC.
11. Congratulations! You just install dual OS in one HDD.
Note: You can install another os (ex. Windows XP)
Jus repeat the same process.

I have 32bit windows 8 and 64bit windows 7 on my HDD having 32 bit and 64bit wont cause problems the files are installed into 2 individual partitions. make sure you back up drivers like your wireless network adapter and your display driver. You can find the drivers on your manufactures website and copy down the installation files for the drivers onto something like a blank DVD RW so you can run them on your new installed OS you might find you can not connect to the Internet and your screen is large if you do not backup your drivers

Use Microsoft Toolkit. It worked for me.

when i did it it only boot's up with xp and i don't have any options to choose windows shall i format it first the partition? how to get the other windows back?
Linux 32-bit versions seem to have problems on 64-bit CPUs. I've tried to install 32-bit Linux OSes on my X2 3800+, and they either won't install (FC5) or I have stability problems (OpenSuSE 10.1). This is probably what the "malfunction" is that you are referring to.

It's easy! If I had 2Tb hard drive, I would give 1 Tb for Windows [something] and 1Tb for [something].
HEY ! If this is so simple like creating a partition and installing a second OS, why do people need those programs which manage dual boot ? What about installing Linux, would be the same procedure ? Can I use Easy US partition Manager instead ?

Yes there is, you just get the entire CD, you can find cracks all over the internet, and if it isn't done yet, highlight all of them,(You need WinRar) and Compress it to a .rar file, use daemon tools, then mount it, and it should autorun, I do it all the time with my computer business, brand new custom made computers, with cracked windows, no one really cares as long as it works, lol. It works 100% the same.
I have installed windows 7 & 8 both. i used windows 8 for many time and then opened windows 7. but now the windows 8 is not working...
That's the only issue with dual booting you cannot install dual boot without partitioning, most likely windows master boot record would get corrupted and confused and will not know which o.s to boot.
This is a great video. I just have a question - when you're using the OS on the new partition, can you access the data and/or programs from the first partition? I'm pretty sure I know, but I'd just like to make sure that I have as much information as possible before doing this. Thanks =]

Actualy,you don't need to go to Computer to Disk management,you simply type:diskmgmt.msc in the search box in the statt menu.

Hey my Windows Vista computer is my main computer and it works perfectly Windows Vista was only bad on Service Pack 1 because of the bugs. In Service Pack 2 all of the bugs were fixed.

It can aiso fuck your operating systems if you don’t have the correct drivers
Go to Startup type msconfig and go to "boot" highlight the os that you want to delete and then click the delete button.

Take an ISO. Open it in an extracting software, such as WinRar. Extract the contents to a folder. Now click the install executable.

Hello, How can I get back to my original operating system (windows 10)? I dual booted and installed windows xp, but cannot get back onto Windows 10. I would like to know if it is possible to have all DOS-based Windows, from Windows 1 to Windows ME, installed in one and the same hard drive/partition. I do know that Windows 3.x is compatible to MS-DOS 8.0, and probably even Windows 1 is too. Windows 1-3.x can no doubt be run in the same hard drive, I haven't checked if it works, but I think it does. I know that Windows 9x (95/98/ME) will replace Windows 3.x during installation, and no doubt earlier as well, but I wonder if Windows 9x will replace pre-9x Windows, if you rename the existing Windows folder or not, for example Windows1, and if it applies to all W9x if you rename the folders Windows and Program files, the folders for W9x.

Hello, I have no shrinkable space in C , but i can clearly see that there are 37GB left in my computer.
i am using a 256GB SSD. somebody says that i need to defrag the hard drive to have some shrinkable space . but ssd cant be defragged..

how to do this with xp?
I don't know why but the disk management won't let me shrink the hard drive.. It's 250GB and I have 150GB free. On the shrink thing all the bottom 3 boxes with numbers say 0. I don't know what to do. Please help
It may format your Vista drive if something is wrong with it but it should work.
when i type 40000 in mb in my system the shrink option is hidden. whe i type 10000 the shrink option is seen why ican"t shrink to 40 gb.

I just installed my xp on a windows 8 pc same as you did. But now i am not able to see any OS options during boot up and default is xp which loads automatically . I have tried to change it in system properties but there is only one option which is win xp.
How can i get to see the OS choice versions. have intel motherboard D101GGC

It is a very old "CD" that they used back in the 80's-early 2001 or so, they stopped because:
1)CDs are easier to storer
2)Have more room to store
3)Aren't square :3
