It works fine for me.

You said that the swap file is directly under the root partition in newer Ubuntu versions, so we don't need to separately create a swap file. Does it stand true for Linux mint also?
Yes you can, just go to the partitions window and free up some more space, then, select where you have Ubuntu and just expand the storage with the freed-up space

He doesn't create a boot partition because he uses the EFI partition windows already has in sda1. This replaces windows boot manager by linux's grub. IN THEORY, there's nothing wrong with this. But, in some cases, windows may update and mess up linux grub. This is easily solved using the terminal, but if you are new to this kind of things, ir may give you a scare. You want the HDD to be for data storage only and use it between the two operating systems? You can go to Windows and add the HDD as NTFS partition. Now, you should be able to access this NTFS partition from Linux as well. You'll have to do special effort for auto mounting it though.

Your HDD is untouched and on Windows? In the file manager, look for Other Locations tab in the left sidebar. Click on it and it should show the option to mount the HDD.
Hey! I have a 1TB Hard Disk which has Windows preinstalled in it. Also, I have a 500 GB SSD in my laptop and I want to install Ubuntu on that. In that case I won't have to select the some other method option while installing ubuntu right?
Windows is installed on the HDD and SSD is not used at all? That's weird. The entire point of having SSD is to utililize the speed of SSD and use HDD for storing data.

Start the installation again, this time, go for 'something else' option. Use the free space you had created and use it to mount as root (or you could partition it for root and home).
Do make sure that SSD has ESP partition.
This should make things work for you.

Hey, I have the new model of predator. I am facing two problems first is I'm getting option to turn off RST. Second is that my hard drive free space isn't visible while selection of storage for Ubuntu installation. What yo do?
You'll have to turn off RST. For the second part, please make sure that you have selected the second drive, it uses GPT partition and your USB is created in GPT partitioning as well.

Slow your boot ,Make debugging hard later if something goes wrong
and we would have to go into boot menu to boot ubuntu, please guide me regarding device for boot installation

Windows 11 SSD And Windows 10 HDD Dual Boot
Why would you want that? Just curious.
I've successfully installed ubuntu completely on my SSD but the problem is that it's not showing the HDD hence can't access the files on the HDD. Please Help!!!!
