An interesting looking and sounding pedal, but I'd watch this video on a loop just for Frank Itt's playing. The more I hear him, the more I realise he's an exceptional musician.
@KillerFridge For me it's was 4:05 that instantly reminded me of the outro of Pantera's "Floods". ruclips.net/video/QF3U6WkS9hg/видео.htmlsi=fgDiYKABFqO4okKb
Got my new BTW coffee mug, EADG life baby! Any thought to insulated beverage containers? I would love to get a bassface air insulated tumbler to match my shirt! :D
The pure definition of Frank's greatness is that even if you don't have the chance to rock the bass like he does... or even play like a crying little brat on grandma's couch... you don't even have bass... you're still sitting here reading comments about Frank's greatness. this is called bass inception.
Although I try to like reverb or delay on bass ... I really don't ! It just doesn't sound right to me ... ;-) Besides that as always a very nice video and very well demonstrated.
Nobody cares. If 4:05 doesn't show you that lower frequencies can still sound good, then nothing will. A tiny bit a reverb at a very low rate setting makes almost any bass tone better and more alive.
@@swiftymcgarnagle4567 @funkingitup1805 I must say your answers got me thinking and I must admit it is true more bass players than i realized use reverb and delay. Roger Waters must certainly be 1 of them and I like a lot what he does. I guess it requires a bit more accuracy (especially delay) to play it right compared to other effects. I will reconsider my above answer which was more being based on me "not ready yet" to integrate this in my pedalboard. I'll check it out ... ;-) Thanks for your feedback. Appreciated.
I like analog for tone, but I wouldn't be afraid of digital for modulation effects. Digital delay is in my opinion superior for bass due to better clarity.
@@funkingitup1805 I didn't like the digital octave I had, because it seemed to have latency. But I suppose that wouldn't be noticeable in a delay... This pedal does sound remarkably clear.
@zucchinipants You are actually discussing one of the biggest issues in all of digital/analog, so I wouldn't let that dissuade you as that is a completely separate issue. Latency is just the result of a bad pedal with not enough processing ability. Digital octavers can be great, but they are too hard to do correctly. It's an issue of tracking. Digital is too good at tracking. It hears the fret buzz. It hears the string noise. The result is it jumping between notes. This can be remedied by switching to the bridge pickup, eliminating fret buzz with higher action, putting a foam mute under the bridge. Another work around is a special tracking bridge like a Boss GK-5B divided pickup. But all that is annoying, so analog wins for me there too. Same with an envelope filter. Delay and reverb (time effects) are a totally different beast. They are clearer than analog. Having some analog delay degradation sounds cool on guitar, but it can be muddy on the low notes. Analog up front on a signal chain works beautifully with digital at the end.

That opening little riff, especially when the chorus kicked in ❤❤

Here in Germany Frank is an absolute legend. Probably the most famous bassist we’ve ever had in this country
I'd love for Frank to release a bass centric album like Stanley Clarke's School Days or Victor Wooten's A Show of Hands, assuming he hasn't of course.
@@basstheworldofficialHe's more than just a pretty face lol
Gregor's dad is killer on bass. LEGEND!!!
Great playing, Frank!
The fact that Dimension chorus (a highly underrated effect for fretless bass) is one of the options has basically sold me on this.
Frank is that guy that has you in awe because he looks like a sweet old grandpa but plays all bass techniques with ease...
Frank Itt is a badass bassist! Awesome playing!
sometimes I wish Gregor would just demo the stuff because most of us can’t ever hope to play like frank itt
this is a very smart pedal design. love it!
Three birds one stone lol. Brilliant man. Laughing out loud here. Love the humour here. Cheers Gregor
Good to see pedals made in Greece are getting more traffic! great presentation
I am not a peddle guy - but this could be winner.

This pedal is pretty interesting. I may need one.
Awesome playing man !!
Dig the shirt.
just like hear frank play cold dude..
love the channel
Very nice
The first check sounds like a track from Maserati band
Just what I was looking for in a pedal! Frank is a killer bass player and that Yamaha just sounds awesome. Anyone knows what model it is?
It is a Yamaha BBG5A. I have the same in another color.

Frank Itt and Julia Hofer have the greatest bass faces in the business. What is it about German and Austrian bassists? Something in the water ?
TAKE MY MONEY!
i love Gregors Dad!
Ok Justin Chancellor 👏👏👏
Can you remind me when I needed a delay or a reverb last time?
We didn’t make this video for you specifically.
Hi Gregor,
what is the difference between the junior and regular version - in terms of capcabilities?
The big one has cab sim and a headphone out. Otherwise I think they’re identical, apart from the size
@@basstheworldofficial 0 many thanks for the promt and informative answer
Cool stuff, but you got the wrong shirt when Frank is i'da house 🤣
I need to see Frank in the Bass Face t-shirt. Even better would be a t-shirt of Frank wearing the bass face t-shirt.
I prefer the old one. DI, cab sim (Even for bass), phones .... For the same Price une Thomann
But twice as big! I think the small footprint brings some serious value, too
Gregor. Can you tell us if it sounds mostly like a real Dimension D or Dimension C?
I’ve no idea
It's not a Gamechanger, it's a Crazy Tube Circuits ;)

@@funkingitup1805 It's just an opinion like any other. But you may have a point. Maybe on a fretless.
I second the notion of nobody cares….. plenty of bassists have used delay in songs.

I need to stop watching your videos! I keep wanting to buy pedals, even though I’m already using a Kemper 😱
I dont like this serious melancholic Frank. Bring back Franky Funk Face!
Next week he‘ll slap on a Cali Mini Bass. Hope this will satisfy your funk needs 😉
😂
