I saw this and could not believe... I wondered being influenced. ;-) ...here is the story:
I traded a Jazz Bass (Fender Japan) and a pink Daisy Rock Flower for a Sandberg Florence in Red... First I was not happy with the Florence!!!! but I changed the tone pot and one capacitor for tone (from 22 to 47) plus strings (DR Pur Blues) and now it's perfect. I stopped playing my Precision, because the shortscale is so much fun. I went for an Ampeg SGT DI which is really a good versatile tool...! (Replaced my Tech21 programmable that did not work properly after lots of years...). After some deep thoughts I replaced my effects (Filter/Octaver and Tuner) with an Eventide H90... and I still use Jam Pedals Red Muck and Rattler in the insert of the Eventide. I can tell you: All together it is a great tone and endless possibilities. As a bass player you do not need the Eventide... but it makes really good and decent sounds (EQ/Comp works fine, everything else is near to perfect). And it is fun to play with... And yes, I have been influenced - thanks a lot ;-)
I am happy now and have all tones I need for 2024 (I think)... but: looking forward for all your videos...

Curious how you'd feel if Harley Benton came out with a rough Florence copy given their recent Sandberg-sh copies. I absolutely adore the looks and sounds of it but not likely to afford one any time soon! nothing like the original of course.
Don’t think that’s gonna happen. HB made their versions of the 2 most popular Sandberg models. The Florence Bass is probably too specific/niche to be considered.
@@basstheworldofficial True. I definitely feel like there's room for a vintage HB bass, especially sort scale in their line up, so I hope they come up something nice. Maybe their own take on the Epiphone Embassy.

How is it that in a previous video you have an Ampeg V12 head paired with a V-15 bottom. Sure it sounds good but how much of the 1200 watts do you think the V-15 rated at 250 RMS can really take. It will never last a gig. Frying a voice coil is easy. That's when the speaker really does sound its best, right before it blows!

Lieber Gregor, füg doch bitte eine Art "Standard Miniintro" bei deinen Videos ein. Dieses ansatzlose Starten stört mich persönlich schon seit Jahren. Wollt es zu Beginn des Jahres mal los werden, damit es auch ein frohes wird😊 Danke. Wäre ja zudem neben deinem Outro ja auch so ne Art Trademark. Ansonsten alles supi und Danke für deinen Kanal.
Jedes unserer Videos bekommt ein individuelles Intro. Mich persönlich nerven diese 5-10 Sekunden Kanal Intros, ich skippe sobald ich eins sehe
@@basstheworldofficial Ich muss immer erst zurückspulen da die "Intros" einfach ansatzlos reinknallen oder du direkt los quatscht. Manchmal gibt es nicht mal ne Millisekunde .Vorher kommt Werbung und die ist natürlich anders ausgepegelt als dein Kanal. Denke es sollte nachvollziehbar sein, was ich meine. 3 bis 5 Sekunden zum vorher Luft holen wäre halt nett.

My best gear of 2023? New quality strings for all my basses and a complete setup for them.
Also a tube replacement for my tube head and a complete re-wiring for my pedalboard.
Everything is shining now sometimes it’s just sufficient a good mantainance work

Of course not. Check out Ilja John Lappin. This was a walk in the park compared to what he’s capable of. In his band he plays this stuff WHILE singing. Absolutely mind-boggling

I use a Mexican p bass and then put really good pickups and a badass bridge on it and now it sounds better than stock fender Americans

Honestly this was a very boring year for me as far as the world goes. A whole lot of samey sounding and looking gear. Just more and more and more of the same.

The bass has to be a simple and useful tool to make music. You don't need expensive things, you need to know how to play.
The rules are.....There are no rules. So perhaps don't make any. Unless you enjoy eating chain. Or the shackles you enslave your own mind with. 😊
