Thank you Lucas for the Birthday party... it was realy nice & pleasure meeting you, Vee & so many other subscribers especially Peter from the Netherland... 😊😊😊
Thanks for the update of the new Scooter's and Royal Enfield. You always keep us informed of new and used bikes that are in Thailand. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks for sharing about the scooters, really great info, and also HBD, it was a fantastic turn out, but I'm not sure if you had enough B-Day cakes 555!
Just checked out the royal enfield and it's available in a 650 cc version as well, it looks really good and it would even be a good bike for a road trip!
Thanks for that. I wanted to check seat height on the Hunter, so I will go up the road and sit on it before it gets sold. Different frame, suspension from the Meteor, but 30K cheaper? Plenty of plastic rather than metal, so lighter and quicker. And it's got ABS on the front which I think is very comforting on Pattaya combo steel and bitumen roads.
Technically, Aprilla SR200GT has 174cc motor. As it's very new, there aren't too many aftermarket accessories yet. Hunter 350 is expected to be a huge seller for its appearance and price point. I think Royal Enfield is kicking ass in a small/mid-size market. Also there will be Triumph-Bajaj 400 cc. in the near future. GPX bikes don't seem to hold any secondary market value. They are offered dirt cheap on FB market. GPX Legend Twin is pretty. I love the "retro" look bikes. I actually wanted Supercub C125 or Trail CT125 but I think they are almost impossible to find right now.
Malossi will jump on making aftermarket performance parts for it like they do for all Aprilia/Piaggio scooters. I am guessing the 1st we'll see is a clutch kit and a variator.
For me i will buy famous brand inThailand , even I ride Suzuki ,few spare part is not compate with my bike, few real part waiing for long time in order, if you dont worry about maintainance, you can buy every brand. for Japanese brand it easy to buy real apare part , every machanic bike shop can fix it , I am Thai
Luke, You are a big guy like me. I'd like to see you and Vee sit on more bikes. My 2015 CB150R is surprisingly tall and comfortable for me at 188cm and 105 kilo. It seems really tall for most Thais. Thanks, Thailand Paul
The Aprilia scooter looked solid. But $3,538 for a brand new Hunter 350 sounds like a fantastic deal. It looks great. I think I'm with you. I'd rather have that. A GPX 250 twin for $1975?? Unbelievable. Grdat show Loucas 👍✌️🙏
Aprilla have always made scooters 20 years ago I had one in Egypt. You said you like gears on a bike to help slow you down on downhills. In my humble opinion Car and truck gearboxes are made for that but bike gearboxes certainly are not meant to take that type of use. Aprilla are definitely my favourite brand of scooter. NEVER JUDGE AN APRILLA SCOOTER UNTIL YOU HAVE RIDDEN ONE. Many smiles per mile.
Congrats to your bud Micky on his new place. As for scooters; Aprillia only has their 50cc in the US and Canada. As for Royal Enfield; that Hunter 350 is not on our shores either. :( Thanks for sharing/posting this video. Cheers! :)
the last motorcycles that i owned was a Bultaco Alpina and Pursang a Husqvarna 250 and 360 and a Honda Enduro ( 70s and 80s ) been a live aboard Yacht owner since 1986 and have had a dozen Euro Exoticars but no motorcycles !! will be selling my current '' toys '' ( Motor Coach , Mercedes and car trailer ) in Feb 2023 ( after high season ) and moving to Jomtien , looking at the Riviera Condos and the Royal Enfields !! Cheers from Padre Island TEXAS !!
More and more I'm warming to the Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor Lou. so this could potentially change but basically I have this golden rule when it comes to motorcycles.... Stick with Nippon !!! 👍
Always enjoy checking out new bikes being the motorcycle freak I am. On my way home from UdonThani yesterday heading out of town I caught sight of the new KTM dealer they just opened this year. As I was buzzing around town on my Versys X I was stopped at a light and one of those little GPX 250 twins came up next to me I had to do a double take I hadn’t seen one before I think you said they were 72,000 baht sounds like a good deal to me. But right now the way the economy is I see a lot of bikes on the used market three years ago they were going for a lot more money than what they’re being offered today it’s definitely a buyers market here in Thailand I picked up my bike for 80,000 baht and it was like brand new with 6000 km on it. In December I’m going with a group we’ll be heading from here in Thailand over to Vietnam for a 20 day tour. Do you have any plans to do a big group tour crossing over some international orders?.
This is a bonified miracle .......You're not wearing a RFKs shirt or a marijuana shirt.... This may be the first time ever......At least in any video, I have seen.....And I have seen loads of your videos..... Love your videos but please check out how to say Aprilia like an Italian.....it doesnt matter really but...."thats a spicy meatball"....EDIT you actually said it correctly later on in the video. lol. This scooter is different, the price is the price, its actually made in Vietnam for Aprilia, the main draw back for me would be servicing. PCX and Nmax though on every corner can be serviced on every corner. The reviews out of the Philipines are positive but again you would have to ride one first. The RE Hunter is cool but very low on power, still waiting to see if someone will bring/import the BSA Gold Star to Thailand, though the pricing of the BSA seems to higher than the RE Interceptor which will make it hard. Just love the look of the BSA. You are right GPX dont hold value. Also when I looked at them seemed the overall fit and finish werent that good, guess you get what you pay for.
I love these videos. Would you consider doing a bike review on touring bikes for the purpose of exploring the country? Comfort, storage, maintenance concerns and access, handle, suspension, safety, and power. I can speak Thai and I have always wanted to go off the beaten track.
The Royal Enfield 350 is less than the Aprillia scooter, that's crazy! Surely that has to be a great deal! I would be interested to know if you can get a rebore kit to upgrade to 400 - 500 cc, but I can't ask you to check that out! Alternatively, look for a 500cc Royal Enfield standard model! I will search online for one! Thanks, the Aprillia does not provide such value!
Why am I not surprised you've got chain oil in your veins. At home I've a honda NT700 which unfortunately sees little use but my 1st order of business when I get to Pattaya is get a scooter under my bum .. love um !-) that 350cc is a stunner though and a tempting swap but when would I ride it if I'm scootering in Pattaya!
Interesting with the scooters n R Enfield look great value for the prices quoted. Although many inc me wud stick with Honda as the market leader and easier for spares n repairs n re sale values too….even tho the Honda ADV n PCX are getting expensive these days. At least it gives ppl the option. Thx for the updates as usual!!
Very interesting choices! a shiny newest of the new pricey Aprilia or Royal Enfield A classic Vespa or a close-to-home Asian company would be a good choice for easy-to-find parts. Good Vid.
Was that the infamous Nirun Condo building in the background when you were eating? Sure looked like it. You could do a story on that (and the very low prices they are to buy) someday in the future. A Golden Oldie !
Hi Eva one of them fights great value I’m really thinking about getting the 250 because of the price It’s great when you do prices of bikes many thanks great video God bless.
@@Rides4Kickz Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the 2022 Gold Wing Tour, which will make its way to our shores via the CBU route. This year, however, Honda is only offering the dual-clutch automatic (DCT) gearbox with the airbag.
Hi Lucas, quick question not related to vid btw, can you recommend a good second hand bike shop, trustworthy one lol, I could look at whilst in Pattaya. Love your vids keep up the good work.
That Aprilia is nice I hope they come out with the same model in bigger displacement like a 500 or 600cc. Kind of looks like they were trying to make a rival to the Honda ADV series.
Lucas, Vespas are made for city life in Italy where all cities are built around a mountain 😂. You go from coffee shop to coffee shop on your Vespa. Sometimes you go to the beach. You always drive on cobbled streets. Vespas are in fact a high-quality product a least as good as any Japanese.

I like the look of the aprilla. 145,000. May be a little expensive for me . But never say never. What's the address for Lana the visa lady ? Another good review Lucas . Thanks
My dream was to retire in thiland and get a big bike but because I had a mojor stroke I was told I can’t get on a bike he said if I fell of and hit my head it would crack open like an egg it’s not worth it but I enjoy watching ur blogs showing bikes 🏍
The Aprilia indeed gets good reviews. I've seen some channels review the Italjet Dragster which is very high end looking but I'm not sure if it's imported into Thailand yet. If Vee is considering a new bike I vote that your Versys is due for refreshing! 😁
After a few motorcycles, I am discovering the world of scooters. It fits my lifestyle a bit better, and I like the lighter weight. Last fall I traded my Versys 650 for a Super Cub. Now THAT'S downsizing! Now I;m looking for a longer range bike, and I'm down to either a Yamaha Xmax scooter (300cc) or a Honda CB500X motorcycle. (I'll still keep the SC)
Hi mate, another great and informative vlog. Dont know if you can help me but, I will be in Pattaya from 26 September for a month, and want to hire a motorbike. Is there any place that hire Royal Enfields in Pattaya? Cheers mate, keep them great vlogs coming.
Hi Lucas, hope all is well!! Have a question, which scooter would you recommend for someone who is 6’3 325lbs? (Enough power, and look right size wise) thanks!!
Would not get a 125 class, you will need at least a 150 class. The Aerox is too cramped for your height, maybe consider an Nmax or PCX. Any of the 300cc and up large class scooters would probably fit you but you will definitely need to test ride and ideally rent one for a week before purchasing.
That Aprilia would be perfect, but what size wheels does it run on, please? 148,000 for the more upmarket one is just about acceptable if the suspension is better than the Aerox. But will it be reliable? I wish Yamaha would bring out an Aerox of this spec. It would be cheaper than the Aprilia. And definitely 100 per cent reliable. The 300/350 class scooters are too heavy and bulky for city use. I like the RE Hunter. Tremendous value, but I'll stick with my Mk2 KTM 390 Duke. First-class video. Edit: the Apilia has only a 174cc engine. Just badged as a 200. I really wish they wouldn't do this.
I'm curious does your friend use Lard to make the Tortillas, coming from A Tex-Mex family it's the only to make them, and you can tell the differentness in them. everything is better with Lard.
Not sure but I know he not only sells the tortillas in his restaurant, he also wholesales them to various businesses around town so they must be legit.
Hey man. Your at the Visa office I see. How much there for your retirement visa ? And is it multiple entry if you leave the country and come back in ? Thanks in advance. Enjoy the scooter review Looking to buy on return.
Cool video I enjoy your motorcycle reviews..the royal Enfield is a cool motorcycle..my only concern in North America it will cost closer to 8 k... There is no way this motorcycle will be for sale for less than 4 k..duty taxes tariff etc..if this motorcycle was sold in North America for around 4 k new...they would sell Tonnes of these motorcycles
RE 350 Classic in USA is about $5200. The 650 twins are less than $7000. Don't know where your $8K number came from. Yamaha had the new SR400 that looked like a real winner but way over priced a few years ago.
@@guzzijack9714 my bad I should've been more specific I'm in Canada...the 650 models go for almost 10k..the 350 goes for 7200 plus extras tax duty frieght pdi almost 8k out the door
I can't help it, I'm sorry I have to correct you, it is not Aprila it is Aprilia, don't forget the "i". You get it correct later in the video. Royal Enfield have just released their new Guerrilla 450 based on the new 450 Himalayan, more expensive than the Meteor but like twice the power, also really worth a look
So Buffalo bar one of the oldest in Pattaya and it was very long. It has been subdivided and the rear portion rented out, which is now the new 3bz location.
I thought of the GPX Legend 250 before I started to watch 😃 Another blogger travels all over Thailand on one, and he likes it a lot. Honda is the most sold scooter in Thailand, with the cheapest parts. It’s like GPX made in Thailand*. GPX Legend 250 must be a bargain. * Different info where GPX is made. Thailand or Malaysia?
Aprilia looks really nice but I fear that when it breaks down it will be hard to fix. I think Yamaha or Honda is a good choice because pretty much anyone can work on them, imho.
Hello Lucas ! Tell me, can Lana set up a O Retirement Visa from start to approval , also helping you set up a Thai Bank Account, etc. ?? Also, does one need a drivers license and insurance to drive around, not on major streets with an Electric Bike or E- Bike ???
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. I hope to be there soon

Yeah, all together different, the Meteor feels like a cruiser when you sit down.

I remember the old Vespa and Lambretta scooters had a twist grip 3 speed shift back in the early 1960s. Pull the clutch in and twist the left grip.

Would not get a 125 class, you will need at least a 150 class. The Aerox is too cramped for your height, maybe consider an Nmax or PCX. Any of the 300cc and up large class scooters would probably fit you but you will definitely need to test ride and ideally rent one for a week before purchasing.
@@Rides4Kickz thank you so much!! keep up the good work!!
Keen on the new cb350rs yet to be confirmed for Thailand and whether it will be Thai or Indian made. Expected price to be in the 120-140K range.
Yes, interested to see that. 👍
Hey man.
Your at the Visa office I see.
How much there for your retirement visa ?
And is it multiple entry if you leave the country and come back in ?
Thanks in advance.
Enjoy the scooter review
Looking to buy on return.
Do you know if this scooter can handle a 280-300lb rider?
Wow, didn't realize that but yeah, would not be a buyer at 8k USD.
@@alneno9840 Makes sense now, got it. Thanks for clarification.
Is there anywhere you can get a custom Vespa our lamberetta in pattaya
Many custom shops around
Vee's PCX sounds interesting..
Not quite sure I followed your explanation of the Casa de buffalo, and it's relation to whatever, either Buffalo bar or 3 b's
GPX -made in Thailand as far as I know.
Aprilia looks really nice but I fear that when it breaks down it will be hard to fix. I think Yamaha or Honda is a good choice because pretty much anyone can work on them, imho.
Good point, not sure where you would get one serviced.
Should get yourself a classic 2 stroke Vespa. That has gears lol.
Hello Lucas !
Tell me, can Lana set up a O Retirement Visa from start to approval , also helping you set up a Thai Bank Account, etc. ?? Also, does one need a drivers license and insurance to drive around, not on major streets with an Electric Bike or E- Bike ???
Lanas email is shown on the vlog.
You could send her a message asking that (I'm pretty sure the answer will be Yes).
She can do 👍👍🙏🙏
that GPX only 72k baht.? Can I buy that in Phuket? If not can I have it delivered? I'm moving to Phuket in January.
They are everywhere. It's a Thai made bike. ABS not available though.
Should be somewhere in Phuket, if not try Krabi maybe.
do they have the triumph 660 there?
i dont think so🌿🌿🌿🌿🍁🍁🍁💨💨🤙🏻🤙🏻
Triumph Trident 660 is sold in Thailand.
They're made there (Like all Triumphs) so I'm pretty sure they're sold there.
Yes, in a couple different flavors, Trident and Tiger ADV
First
haha stand out in the crowd, for us who just ride a bike it looks like everything else... Honda etc..
No 3-wheeler like on the thumbnail?
