Beautiful tractor! A real head turner. That's what show tractors are all about. Showing people the unusual, the extreme. My recommendation is that you make the cab all plush. Custom sound system accent lights and the whole 9 yards. Have fun and let it evolve. That little guy will never part with this thing...for any money...guarantee!
Cool project, nicely done. I think it will hold up just fine considering the small amount of stress you intend to put on it. I also like Mate2Frio's idea of fabricating a trailer to pull behind it. As I stated on that comment, you could even make seats, (maybe removable wooden benches), so that Henry could offer rides to his friends, (or Mom & Pop), during future parades. Which would also ensure Dad was close by in case something did go wrong. You are very handy at these kinds of projects Tracy, and the proof of that statement is easy for anyone to see just by observing the finished products you put out. Great video, great work, and great idea. Thanks for sharing with us. I hope to see a video, (including some drone footage), of the parade, in the near future. Great job on the dance moves Henry. Even though Mom & Dad claim they can't dance, I think you are going to be a good dancer. Good for you, girls like to dance, and one day that will be of some importance to you too.
Man that is super nice... looks really really good... I have acquired one of these tractors a while back it ran but didn't run well..I've done a few things to it adjusted the valves distributor cap plug wires got it running really great but that thing needs a lot of work...I'm having problems with the fly wheel itself recessing into the transmission... destroyed the seal.... think there's a bearing in the back on the main input shaft that has went out...I'm just really at a loss because parts are so so expensive for that thing... I never thought in a million years parts would be so expensive.... I guess that thing will just sit.... Which really sucks because I wanted to use it...I had been using it until my clutch pedal went away... I'll add length to the rod got it back working then figured out why the clutch medal went away....😬😬😬... when I noticed the flywheel flopping around and oil flinging out....😬😬😬😬... Going to do what I can do to it to try to get it fixed I really like using it.... it came with a mowing/ bush hog deck but that thing is useless... It don't even have enough power to even pull it through tall grass.... so that has been removed and will probably be up for sale...so I can fund some repairs... It's not in the best shape but it works...🤷
This is awesome!! I have a red farmall cub lowboy from the 60's. I have the thinner tires but would love duals nontheless. I believe it has the fittings for them. Thank you for the vid!!
I will be honest that looks pretty sweet! Duals remind me of a 1456. I wonder if it is possible to weld up a spacer sleeve vice using the threaded rods.
I have a 1949 cub that I’m restoring and I would love to put dials on it. I’ve seen people use the original size tires but you’re giving me the idea to get some low boy wheels and tires. I wonder if you can buy Ag type tires in that size
A chrome exhaust stack would look real nice on that 185, but you will need to reroute the exhaust :( , just a cool thought. Anyways, great video, I look forward to seeing more projects like this!
Well I've had this same thought cross my mind too. I think it would look best coming straight out of the hood right above the exhaust manifold. Basically like any full size international tractor. But then I'm cutting into a perfectly good hood. Quite the delima... Lol
Thanks Kevin. Our channel is a family channel 😎👍. The only information on the cab would be that it's a Kozy Cab. They have zero records due to a fire at their office years ago, and they also didn't do serial tags on them. They are kind of rare, but if you were to find one, you'd have better luck up north. We drove to Wisconsin to get our cab. Found it on craigslist. Thanks for watching.
hello i have a cub lo boy 154 and i cant get spark to my points, can you possibly help me with a crude sketch of the wiring because all the wires melted sometime ago and im starting from skratch..thank you
It doesn't hurt to put duels on a 184 cub cadet tractor if it's just for show or pulling a float if the axle breaks that just means there pulling it to hard when it's in the ground that's why they break axles if they put in fourth gear and with the torque forward they will break an axle than in a lower gear wont break it that easy
As nice as you made the rest of the tractor, I have an idea if you ever redo those bolts. I may be missing something, but a short bolt on the inside, a coupling nut tightened, and then a piece of all thread. The bolts would'nt move around when mounting the outside wheels. You could also put small brackets on your ring to hold those in place with the bolts or all thread. I would be interested in you other tractor when you sell it. Great Work!
Thanks for the idea! I am interested in selling the other Lo Boy actually. Are you from Missouri? I had planned on putting it on Craigslist. It also has a factory original hydraulic lift snow plow.
Tracy isn't really Henry tractor I think it's the second big boy looking really good but I think it's time 4 twin turbo 460 big block get All 4 tires smoking plus it won't take long to plough and seed the paddock for one end of the paddock other in 0.6 seconds
I really don't think he is asking really anything at all for that 14 hp engine. Lets face it you could push that tractor along the floor easily by hand yourself. It sure will not be working fields or doing yard work. It's a parade tractor. You could easily have a small trailer on the back and be pulling way more load than those wheels weigh. I don't think it would work up a sweat with them on. I would not want to be buzzing over rough ground with them though. That would put a lot of stress on the rear diff.
@@FarmAlarm I guess Paul G hasn't priced a tractor cab in the last few decade's? My last search took me North to Canada to a place called The Cab Depot. 🚖 (the old Sims Cab Co. of MA.) Cabs run in excess of 6-7grand! Depending on your options. Farm Alarm, a tip for you, Run those outside tires with as LOW air pressure as possible. Almost flat to keep the stress off everything in board.
The disliker probably drives a rebuilt 1989 Sears tractor.
Lol too true
I have a 68 Cub Cadet, and a 80's Sears Craftsman tractor lol. I think your probably right, because my Craftsman is broken and the Cub is not.
Love your tractor. The cab and duels were the ticket.
The only thing cooler then that tractor is Henry's dance about the tractor. 💚💚💚
Oh yes, he loves to dance
That's totally cool your fixing it for your son....Your blessing him at a needed time!
Thank you. He loves it!

I might have just found my new favorite channel! Awesome!!
Welcome aboard!
It looks like it came like this stock! I love it. 3 years late.lol
Thanks!

Tracy is super handy . We plan to have a video on the parade at some point. The tractor was a big hit ( or maybe it was henry) Henry loves dancing.
i love it with that cab on it
Awesome idea! Thanks
Very cool!
Looks really nice. What a fun project. You need a matching trailer that it can tow now.
Great idea.
Possibly with seats so Henry can give his friends rides.
We do have a few farm wagons around the farm. But a matching one sounds cool
Very nice looking tractor. I have a 154 I bought last year
That is so cool..
Nice looking tractor, thinking an upright exhaust might look good on it
I have been wanting to put upright exhaust on it for a few years now.
Cool project. Looks great 👍
Thank you
That is cool! My dad would love this.
Nice! I have a few H's that need some love, hopefully one day I'll have the time to restore at least one to show quality. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching. Hope you get around to restoring those.
Very nice, looks great.

Id like to see a red international 184 done like this
Awesome build
Thank you so much!
Should keep the plow on the other lowboy and put it on this one lol. Or get a bucket for this one
This tractor is more for shows than a farm tractor. We have other equipment we can use if needed, thank you for watching.
Nice job!
Hey thanks a lot!

How about the two vertical steel flat stock to kick the rocks out the get stock inbetween the two tires?
Nice cab i would like one on my 185 i use mine to haul hay around the ranch
Thanks. I would recommend an air conditioner, it's super hot with the cab 😅😅😅

Beautiful looking tractor and I appreciate the ‘How-to’ without profanity laced theatrics. Do you have specs or serial number on the cab? Thanks👍🏻

It will be fine . It has an open rear end I would assume . If it has a locked rear keep it on gravel . Lol
That tractor is so awesome
Thanks so much!
👍👍👍
When are you going to make a "how to weld" video? Asking for a friend.
Well tell your "friend" (😂) as soon as I learn to weld, I'll make him a video.
bet that little tractor can pull a load !
It is a lot of fun
I like it
Thanks!
Cool

Haha. It is alot of fun.
Learn how to weld at your local trade school. Gas welding and gas cutting first. Arc welding next and MiG welding classes next.
Don’t hesitate on learning how to weld it’s awesome to do welding and fabrication. I picture it in my mind then build it.

Can you show the inside of the cab in a video?
That's a great Idea. I sure will
Go for duals on the front and triples on the back so people will say it's too much it's too much.
Haha yea that would be crazy.
You're asking an awful lot of that 14 h.p. engine!
Lol true. But technically The 154 had a 14hp engine. *This 185 had 18hp.* The 184 had 19hp.

you did not drive 1200 miles to get a deal on a 500$ piece of equipment, I dont believe that!
Ha, well not sure what to tell you then. Lol
