I don't know if you read these posts or not, but in any case I just had to say something. I've never been one to raise my voice in exaltation of many things in life. Before being saved, my heart rarely sang for anything. After being saved, it wanted to but could never express vocally what it felt, to express what I knew the LORD had done for me. THe repentance, the sadness at my own guilt, the hope He promised, the sheer joy when He delivered both His promise and ME, the peace, love, and joy of knowing His presence and love for me. None of this did I know how to express with my voice. When He called me to become a preacher of His Word, even then my voice could not express any of these things. I felt at a loss because there was nothing I could point to, nothing I could say expressed what I could only express in my heart and head. Then I found, by happenstance, BYU's ladies and mens capella groups. Finally, I have something I can point to to say "Father in heaven, my Savior and Redeemer, I have not the skill to express that 'voice' of praise and joy within my heart and mind with my physical voice. But, at last, I can say THIS, Father, THIS is the manner of Joy, Love, Hope, and blessed assurance that fills within me. These voices speak the very songs my heart has for thee!" Thank you, BYU. Thank you for expressing my love of the Creator as my soul sings but my voice has not the capability. Most of all, Father, thank you for pointing to the expression of that joy which thou hast given me! Amen."
Started crying while listening to this. I felt so loved. I could feel His love. I feel so blessed and thankful for his love despite me being a sinner.
oh wow!! Thank you God for having me stumble upon this now. Am I the only one crying because of the joy Jesus has given to those who rest their life on Him? Such a great reminder that Jesus has already conquer what we are facing, we need only believe in Him and we too shall overcome. Thanks be to God for bringing His son to die....for our sins...and for eternal life through Him. When life seems the darkest and we blame God for those moments...remember that God purposely led His one and only son to die a criminal's death. He did not spare His one son BECAUSE of the Promise that was to be fulfilled. One that would bring MANY to God the Father through His Son
Describing my feelings for the true meaning of Christmas and how this video made me feel, I agree with Hans Christian Anderson, "Where words fail, music speaks." Oh, come all ye faithful! Oh come, let us adore Him!
+Alex Lichty I agree, there are many among the mormons who do not follow their own faith and their own teachings. however the first principle they teach to children is "Be like Jesus". YES a lot of Adults forget that in the process of growing up. I am not sure where you got your information, but the fact that so many try so hard to discredit the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, implies that perhaps they have more truth then those people want to have known.
+Alex Lichty Yes I may be a Mormon, I am PROUD of my faith, but I am a true Christian. I try to live as he did, serving others, spreading joy and hope. I am a mere mortal, I fail and I stumble, but he lifts me up and sets me back on my feet and tells me to keep trying. Joseph Smith was a mortal man, he like other prophets before him (can I mention two, Jonah and Moses) had flaws. He did not have any plans for what you claim happened at first, if he had them later only God knows, me I refuse to let such trivialities shake my focus, which is on Christ and living my life the best I can.
We are here to make choices, and we all have to answer for the choices we make. You will have to face the eternal consequences for your words here. As will I, therefore I refuse to spread hate and venom. May your heart be softened to the truth, and may you realize that while there are Mormons that are Hypocrites and truly have forgotten the way, most of us prefer to live quietly and live good lives knowing we are flawed and only trying to be better.
Please do not spread hate and lies, while you may see them to be truth, I promise they are not. I stand by what I said before, the way many attack my faith and church implies that there is truth there that those who attack it do not want the world to know. I speak less as a Mormon, and more as a PSYCHOLOGIST when I say that.

Also it is a good idea for all of us to heed the words of Acts 17:11 and the deeds of the Berean Christians, "They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth."
I've been in many Christian churches and heard preaching that didn't meet this test. When someone challenges you on LDS doctrine, search the Scriptures with them to see who is teaching the truth.
It would be beautiful to hear you all singing this hymn adding the original Latin "Adeste Fideles". The location is also amazing, like your singing and devotion. Buon Natale, God Bless from Italy!

Really struck me tonight as I watched this. Have had lambing as part of my vet studies, and seeing the straw they lied in indeed made my eyes well up. I can almost ‘smell’ it; I myself wouldn’t have lied in it to rest during the night shifts. Yet through such love, such humility, Christ left the glory of heaven to be birthed in such a place, picturing even from the very beginning to be the Lamb of God (John 1:29)! Pondering on that really hit me hard.
when i watch this i pretend it is the rapture and the choir are angels calling the faithful/followers of God into the presence of the lord. The faithful who live their lives in obedience to him. Who trust in god and love him with their whole heart minds and soul.
i cant get enough of it, my faith has withered away and BYU is bringing it back

Reminds me of my dorm room. I left late Christmas Eve and I saw and heard the RA and other residents of the building singing this song I smiled as I walked out.
Came for the song (one of my all-time favourites), stayed for the video As someone who studies archeology it meant so much to me, how realistically you told the story of Jesus’ birth and portrayed Mary and Joseph as human beings.

This is so beautiful! "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" is sung by hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Australians every Christmas but this made me feel like I was hearing it for the first time ever and discovering the Christmas story for the first time. Thank you! I got locked out of my apartment last night and had to call a locksmith; that inconvenience made me think of Joseph and Mary and the crisis of being locked out of any decent accommodation on top of having a baby for the first time in a town not their own! Talk about Christmas stress!!! Obeying God is rarely easy...but it's worth it! Merry, SAFE, Christmas everyone - and let's not forget the homeless 🎄

Do I detect a key change at 1:53 ? I guess this enables Kyle to take the high notes up an octave in the last few verses. Sing it Kyle! Sends shivers up my spine when listening with high quality headphones because most soloists tackling this hymn take the easy way out and drop the high notes an octave.
