If there’s one thing that Christmas has taught me over the years, it’s that you don’t need to be Christian or even religious to celebrate it with other people. Sure, for Christians it will be more spiritually significant, but it is a season of togetherness, and that’s smg anyone can get behind. Thank you for not dismissing it as a holiday just because it’s not of your religion, and don’t let anyone tell you you’re not allowed to take part.

This is the gospel (good news): All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death. By working a job you earn money, but by sinning we earn death.
When you get a speeding fine, somebody else can pay the fine for you and you can be legally set free. That's what Christ did when he died in the cross. Right before he died he said, "It is finished!" meaning that your fine is paid in full. He did this so that those who put their trust in him will not come into judgement, but pass from death to life.
When you put your trust in Christ you are washed by his blood so that you are whiter than snow. You become a new creation. God no longer sees your failures, but rather he sees the perfect work of Christ and says, "I will remember your sins no more".
