Its not $10.00 even if you get it through Adafruit who is advertising it for $10.00 your still paying over $9.00 in shipping plus you need the power supply which is not your standard phone charger. If you plan on having peripherals : Mouse, Keyboard, USB Flash Drive , OR even A 2.5" SATA hard Drive your going to need atleast the official Raspberry Pi Power Supply which is 5V- 2A ... SO, now your spending some money and the performance is not that impressive if you're using it for "Productivity" notice how his RUclips video is continuously buffering. Your going to want a powered USB hub which is also more $ if you do not know how to wire is up a regular one to pump out some more power. To top it off the board is extremely fragile a little static shock or banging it around is going to break the thing so you need a case to protect it more $. I love the raspberry pi and I have the pi zero w and the pi 3b+ but facts are facts. I just happen to have a lot of hardware laying around so it really didn't cost me. If you plan on buying the pi zero W , your going to want to watch the video on how to install "ZRAM" software on your pi. It will increase the RAM noticeably. Also to get some extra performance your going to want to run it off atleast a USB 3.0 flash drive. You NEED to boot the first boot from a microSD card, more $. After that you can edit the config file and set it up to boot directly from the USB or HDD, SSD. I just thought you guys should know the facts. O and don't forget to get the micro HDMI to full size HDMI adapter thats more $. Unless your going to setup PuTTy and run it headless (no GUI just Terminal, or VNC Viewer with GUI) When I bought mine I was not as educated as I am now about this particular model. If its used properly and you give it the tools it needs to perform you will be happy, anything less and you will be mad.
I am not trying to discredit your video people should know about the pi zero its awesome tool. Your telling the truth the computer itself absolutely is $10.00 I am just saying with all the things you need to get it going its going to cost a little bit. When I bought my first one I was a little naive and I saw all these videos $10.00 computer and I didn't take into consideration all the things that needed to go into making the computer work lol. So I just didn't want anyone to go through the same hardship I did. What is this electronic market, I'm very intrigued ?
