I'm guessing Ace would have been a surviving employee, perhaps the only one who survived the 'Hour of Joy' which i think would have been a way better idea for the character other than some mysterious kid named Ollie, seems they canned a lot of great ideas like this one and its a shame cause it would have been really cool having a lone surviving employee helping you along the way.
I did enjoy the point that Ollie was one of the dolls that hadn't gone rabid (At least that's what I understood) it was cool, but I do like the Ace idea.

Is it me or does ace sound like a worn down kickin' chicken? I mean they both got the attitude and, as we saw with dogday, their voices aren't quite exact to their cartoon counterpart. Idk maybe that's just the want to see more of the smiling critters but it would've been cool to see the other bigger body critters - judging by catnap and the half of dogday we have to work with, the bigger body critters would probably have a bit of a different build compared to the plushes so the rest would likely appear more like their respective animals. I just like the silly goobers :]

Tbh i think it's a waste to make 8 brand new characters and have 1/2 appear in the game. Even if they were all on Catnaps side i feel like they were misused and a huge, missed opportunity that mob games may hopefully regret in the next chapter. Assuming it is a prison who's to say we won't find one in there?

On the Miss Delight mechanics, you actually also see this is some videos that were made early, where that movement is still live. I personally feel the Weeping Angel version is better as it's more predictable to work around (plus the smaller detail that it's foreshadowed in notes).
"Ace"'s lines seem to be writen for a teenager, and actually the voice acting resembles one, which would make more sense that a teenager is alive in the factory after the hour of joy than a kid that most likely has no more than 9 years of age. Cool if it is just a placeholder but that would make more sense
Unless Ollie was a baby at the time of the hour of joy, so he would be ten years old in game's time line. There were clearly babies in the orphanage so the older children could have told the younger children about the horrors that happened.

big believer in the ollie=prototype theory. feel like ace just proves it more. we already know the prototype can adjust his voice as wanted, so the radio tuning sound at the start could just be that. plus i swear in the recording when we hear the prototype speak we hear that same garbled noise when he switches between voices. also, he doesnt offer up his actual name, just tells the player to "call him" ace, as though that isnt his real name. Ace, in terms of playing cards, is typically the strongest card in the deck, despite numerically being 1. the prototype is the most powerful creation in the factory, and also the first successful (functioning, since hes 1006 that implies 5 attempts came before him, but he was the first close enough to proof of concept) creation made in the factory, just like the ace is numerically first

The Prototype seems to record the voices of others and play them back/stitch them together, whereas Ollie, while having slightly awkward line deliver, isn't obviously splicing different lines together.
For Miss Delights OLD mechanic, yes she used to move forward every time the lights flickered. When I got early access to CH3, she was functioning this way. I got footage of her in my Part 2 playthrough and I gotta say, she got nerfed HARD.

chapter 3 was actually built off of project playtime, thats why the robo huggy jumpscare was there, if you look through the ui files you can find tons of project playtime stuff like the loading screens and the battle pass stuff.
I don't know why, but I almost feel like Ace could have been Dogday helping you before catnap found out and he got attacked by the smiling critters. It just kinda feels like they both have that "Last employee alive" feel to them...
I see the speculation that Ace was intended to be a surviving employee, but I think it'd make more sense if he was a kid turned toy that's against The Prototype, like Poppy and Kissy. Dogday, Catnap, and Mommy all have Adult Voices, so it'd make sense for Ace to also be a bigger bodies toy who grew into a more adult voice post becoming a toy. That actually brings in more speculation of what Ollie is, sense he still sounds like a child.

I saw when Dawko played an early release that the creators sent out to creators (saw some other people mention this as well) that Miss delight actually still followed the flickering light idea, and then saw it ran differently for normal playthroughs.
Maybe since he says “your still kickin” Ace is a fake name and he was going to be kickinchicken at some point as a western voice is probably the type of voice I’d give to a chicken
If I had to choose between Ollie and Ace, I would choose Ace. He has a more believable feeling to him then Ollie. Ace sounds like a survivor, Ollie sounds like a second grader. Ace should come back in chapter 4.
I think that's the point though. Ollie purposely sounds way too young to have even been alive when the hour of joy happened. He's suspicious and unsettling and I think it's on purpose.
Unused content is creepier than the actual game on my opinion, bc we aren’t supposed to be there, its silent, it doesn’t feel real, it unsettles me, it feels kind of like the back rooms to me
The old catnap sound affects were probably used for his cutout for his cartoon version. Instead, it was replaced by snoring (?) To fit him more and to put you on edge. And the meowing probably cut due to the other smiling critters being able to talk instead of their animal sounds.
The fact that the scrapped phone character. said "I'm glad to see it's still kicking." it made made me thought of KickinChicken. which is one of the smiling critters
well if u pay attention miss delight actually sounds like miss the light and so since it was originally had to move when light is off or is flickering this means that ur missing light and that u need to run from her

The purring isn't unused. During the first cutscene when CatNap is carrying you to the trash shoot, if you listen closely, you can hear slight purring.

Ms Delight’s old function can be seen in a couple of early access copies of the game. I watched Dawko’s when it first came out, surprised to see that everyone else was referring to her as a weeping angel. It was really interesting to see, and kind of reminded me of the statues game in ch2
Well there’s are theories going around that the next place we are going is either a prison or an amusement park and if chapter 4 is an amusement park hopefully they use some of those old plans for that unused duck ride and playground.
@@AnActualCapybara1 there was some unused word “prison” cover in blood on some of the scraped content and even the elevator we used at the end of chapter three to take us down deeper into the factory has the word prison on it hidden out of view from the player.
I think that unused CatNap jumpscare was meant to be used for the nightmare catnap boss part, for the two reasons being that the jumpscare matches the CatNap form and the current jumpscare switches his model back to the normal one for the jumpscare.

Ok, so theory on the arrow pointing in the wrong direction at the beach house Beginning at the very start of the dogday chase, the ceiling would begin to collapse, creating a path to parkour across debris while dogday chases you, you might even be able to hear him splashing around and choking on not only his own blood, but water too…scary thought am I right? It was probably scrapped due to 2 reasons, the tunnels being WAY scarier than this water parkour and where would you even go after this relatively short parkour
Ollie just sounds like poppy putting on a terrible impression of a child because she knows we’d be mad at her and still wants us to listen/ stick around and pretending to be a child would work I guess, so obviously poppy pretending to be Ollie
The change in miss delight's mechanics makes sense now, I first watched 8-BitRyan play the chapter and that's how she functioned, I was so confused watching other people's gameplay when she didn't function the same way, it nearly made me wonder if Ryan had a bugged game. But now knowing it was an early version of her mechanics, it makes far more sense, I would say the older version is much harder than the current, I kinda liked the old version better, but I understand why people playing wouldn't like it as much lol.
I honestly prefer Ace over ollie, ace sounds like literally just a guy with a funky accent while Ollie is a child who speaks like it’s a goddam ai tts I’m serious there is no soul behind that voice acting. I keep noticing that streamers and let's players lose trust in Ollie and I think it has to do with how little his voice emotes with no reason behind the lack of change on tone. Ace sounds laid back, like he knows this place, while Ollie sounds like the host for a children's edutainment show.
So, instead of catnap getting stabbed by prototype’s hand, he was originally supposed to burn to death after the player shoots green hand. Which looked more better than the one we have, i have some pictures for the unused death concepts of catnap.
When chapter 3 came out, the miss delight flashing lights mechanic was still active and there are quite a few videos in which you can see this mechanic in use, my theory is that when Mobgames gave some youtubers early access codes to the game This mechanic was still active and when chapter 3 came out to everyone they had already changed its mechanics
🍋🍋🍋LIMON🍋🍋🍋 The LIMON surprised me for how funny it was to show up, but what's even funnier was that CatNap, perhaps the scariest character in the game besides Miss Delight, had sounds of a cat meowing and purring. I can only imagine someone just waiting for a jumpscare from him, only to hear a meow instead. Would've made for a heck of mood whiplash to hear a scary cat monster make normal cat sounds, hence why they're unused.
catnap purring is actually used in the final game, they just used a different sound for it. you can hear it when you're going through the sweet home dream sequence

I honestly like Ace more. I'm predicting that there's going to be a lore reason for Ollie's lines sounding so stilted and unnatural, but with Ollie, it's just *so* overt. Ace's lines are still a little stilted, which is to be expected since they're placeholder lines, but it's not nearly as noticeable as with Ollie's. Maybe Ollie is supposed to sound like an actual toy's voicebox, whose lines would probably sound just like that? idk.

I have to say, I like Ace so much more than I liked Ollie. A grizzly voice with so much personality, compared to this little squirt who feels more annoying than helpful.
Same, i'm certain he was originally going to be a lone surviving employee that was going to help you instead of Ollie, which would have been much cooler and much more believable, its a shame they canned him.

I may be mistaken but I think the purrs from catnap can be heard when we hallucinate and go through the hallways. At least I think I heard them, maybe I was hallucinating too I don't know lmao

The purring isn't unused. During the first cutscene when CatNap is carrying you to the trash shoot, if you listen closely, you can hear slight purring.
i bet "ace" was going to be one of the other smiling critters. maybe dogday. he used a pseudonym so we wouldnt assume he was with catnap and got cut because we would be more likely to trust a child than an adult.
Ms Delight’s old function can be seen in a couple of early access copies of the game. I watched Dawko’s when it first came out, surprised to see that everyone else was referring to her as a weeping angel. It was really interesting to see, and kind of reminded me of the statues game in ch2

Well there’s are theories going around that the next place we are going is either a prison or an amusement park and if chapter 4 is an amusement park hopefully they use some of those old plans for that unused duck ride and playground.
Where are people getting the idea that chapter 4 is gonna be a prison? I haven’t seen anything about that and it sounds interesting
@@AnActualCapybara1 there was some unused word “prison” cover in blood on some of the scraped content and even the elevator we used at the end of chapter three to take us down deeper into the factory has the word prison on it hidden out of view from the player.

I think that unused CatNap jumpscare was meant to be used for the nightmare catnap boss part, for the two reasons being that the jumpscare matches the CatNap form and the current jumpscare switches his model back to the normal one for the jumpscare.

Ok, so theory on the arrow pointing in the wrong direction at the beach house
Beginning at the very start of the dogday chase, the ceiling would begin to collapse, creating a path to parkour across debris while dogday chases you, you might even be able to hear him splashing around and choking on not only his own blood, but water too…scary thought am I right? It was probably scrapped due to 2 reasons, the tunnels being WAY scarier than this water parkour and where would you even go after this relatively short parkour

The change in miss delight's mechanics makes sense now, I first watched 8-BitRyan play the chapter and that's how she functioned, I was so confused watching other people's gameplay when she didn't function the same way, it nearly made me wonder if Ryan had a bugged game. But now knowing it was an early version of her mechanics, it makes far more sense, I would say the older version is much harder than the current, I kinda liked the old version better, but I understand why people playing wouldn't like it as much lol.

I honestly prefer Ace over ollie, ace sounds like literally just a guy with a funky accent while Ollie is a child who speaks like it’s a goddam ai tts I’m serious there is no soul behind that voice acting. Yeah I GUESS having a child instead of an adult would make more sense but atleast make Ollie’s dialogue be less monotone.

It would be sick if the Devs end up adding these unseen areas to the game sometime in the future. It would be great since there would be more people playing Chapter 3 and discovering new places in the Playcare
It might've made sense for Ace to be DogDay trying to help you out, eventually taking too big of a risk and making his capture all the more tragic.

the duck ride is so much cooler than what they went for, kinda disappointed it wasnt used.
Ace seems like he would of had an easier time keeping player's trust than Ollie. I keep noticing that streamers and let's players lose trust in Ollie and I think it has to do with how little his voice emotes with no reason behind the lack of change on tone. Ace sounds laid back, like he knows this place, while Ollie sounds like the host for a children's edutainment show.

So, instead of catnap getting stabbed by prototype’s hand, he was originally supposed to burn to death after the player shoots green hand. Which looked more better than the one we have, i have some pictures for the unused death concepts of catnap.
There were a few bugs where the original miss delight mechanic would be active on release day
When chapter 3 came out, the miss delight flashing lights mechanic was still active and there are quite a few videos in which you can see this mechanic in use, my theory is that when Mobgames gave some youtubers early access codes to the game This mechanic was still active and when chapter 3 came out to everyone they had already changed its mechanics

The LIMON surprised me for how funny it was to show up, but what's even funnier was that CatNap, perhaps the scariest character in the game besides Miss Delight, had sounds of a cat meowing and purring. I can only imagine someone just waiting for a jumpscare from him, only to hear a meow instead. Would've made for a heck of mood whiplash to hear a scary cat monster make normal cat sounds, hence why they're unused.
catnap purring is actually used in the final game, they just used a different sound for it. you can hear it when you're going through the sweet home dream sequence

I was wondering why BiijuMikes gameplay had the orginal Miss Delight mechanic and I thought it was a glitch since I never saw anyone else with it
My theory is that Ace is actually Kickin' Chicken from the Smiling Critters. 2 reasons being;
1. The voice compared to the cardboard cutout sounds similar (at least the vague Southern Accent).
2. He says the radio/phone is "still kicking" (explicitly using the word kicking instead of literally anything else).
Counterpoint is that DogDay says he's the last of the Smiling Critters, but... Idk

I honestly like Ace more. I'm predicting that there's going to be a lore reason for Ollie's lines sounding so stilted and unnatural, but with Ollie, it's just *so* overt. Ace's lines are still a little stilted, which is to be expected since they're placeholder lines, but it's not nearly as noticeable as with Ollie's. Maybe Ollie is supposed to sound like an actual toy's voicebox, whose lines would probably sound just like that? idk.
